What you just said is inaccurate. ABC ordered 13 episodes, but the producers/writers had to re-work some scripts, which forced the long hiatus. So, it was not a wait and see thing.

IMB: You can watch the premiere on Hulu.com or ABC.com. It’s heavily serialized, so if your interested in watching this at all, you will have to start with episode 1.

I was pretty underwhelmed by the whole thing. Didn’t care for any of the characters and it just was not as gripping as I would need it to be to continue watching it.

  • Ryan

Gnna have to agree with the naysayers: this was as bland and by-the-numbers as SciFi TV gets. There was absolutely nothing new brought to the table, even the satirical elements were uninspired. Just dull and plodding.

  • Lily

To answer both questions: Yes AND YESSSSSSS!!!

I have to admit, even though I am a diehard fan of the original, I liked it. A few flaws though. Anna is NO Diana. The whole sleeper cell bit where the aliens were already among us felt a little too much like another sci-fi remake of the past few years (BSG and the cylons, anyone?)…but the biggest flaw so far and I mean BIG was the fact that they took the graffiti V, a symbol of the resistance in the original, and turned it into a pro-Visitors symbol. That had me livid. BUT overall it was good, The cast is good. The pace was well executed. I’ll definitely be watching it again.

Yeah, you’re so right! I couldn’t understand why that bothered me at first; I just thought it was wrong, but that’s it…

The show could actually have used a little more build, but quickly getting into the action is preferable to long drawn out faux suspense.
While watching it though, I felt that a lot worked. I’ll keep watching.

    liked it…. LOVED Elizabeth Mitchell!!!
    I’m on board.

They would have to seriously drop the ball to lose me.

*setting DVR to record every episode

I watched it after NCIS, and although it was certainly not the best NCIS, found V quite boring to be honest.

  • Peter

Some of these comments have to be people who work at ABC, right? Some of these are just way too positive. This was marginally watchable at best but nothing to get to worked up about.

    • Martin

If you think it is bad here, go to the movie reviews: “Rob Schneider again shows why he is America’s greatest comedy actor, A+!”

  • Ryan

I hope The Prisoner lives up to the legacy of the original after this dull disappointment.

  • Change the name to…

VCIS or CSIV to get the old farts to watch it.

    • Change the name to…

      V.acuum, V.oid, to get it better ? ^^

    • hope

you’re mocking us NCIS fans aren’t you? well get this; alot of us aren’t ‘old farts’ as you put it. we are either in our teens or twenties some in thirties so think twice before you mouthing off. don’t even bother writing back with a sarcastic insulting remark it’ll get you no where

  • dolleyes

I hope that V will unspool like a mini series more than a series, so that it can keep the quality up and the plots rich. A little V goes a long way. Can’t forget that the original V suffered when it turned from a mini series into a series.

  • robinepowell

I doubt it. It was okay, but it didn’t hold my interest enough for me to keep watchin. Espically since there are shows on that I’ve already been watching. ;)

  • danuff1

Loved the show and hope it sticks around for a while.

  • Liz

It was good. I think it will get better and more fast paced once the story progresses towards some type of “impeding doom”. I love these types of shows, so I’m definitely going to keep watching.

    • skippy mcdingdong

I hate it when doom gets in my way.

  • sally1018

I will keep watching. I thought it was very good.
