Smallville‘s coolness quotient just soared to new heights.
Blaxploitation icon-turned-L-Word staple Pam Grier is joining the cast for multiple episodes, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Grier has been booked to play DC Comics villainess Agent Amanda Waller. Never heard of her? This should bring you up to speed.
The Golden Globe nominated actress (for Jackie Brown) will make her debut in the second hour of the upcoming Justice Society-centric two-parter, “Legends,” scheduled to air in late January.
Pretty cool, huh?

Okay, I’m not opposed to Pam Grier being cast as The Wall, but really, the person who should play her is the person who voiced her on Justice League Unlimited: CCH Pounder.

It’s not as if that instadebacle “Brothers” is going to need any of its actors for too much longer, either. So IMO there’s no excuse to not wait a month or so for Pounder to become available.

As awesome as this is to have Amanda Waller appear on the show, I’d rather it be CCH Pounder playing her. She did an AMAZING voice job on Justice League Unlimited and I know she could pull it off doing live-action as well. Plus, she already knows the character.
Awesome news! I’ve read up on her character and she sounds like a great villian for Smallville! This season keeps getting better and better!

they cant just wait for an actress to be available. They have prod schedules and have to get her in asap as i think they are shooting legends now, so yah this is the best alternative, cc is still shooting brothers
