Exclusive: I spy Robert Patrick on 'Chuck'

Tags: , News

Robert-Patrick_lFans of Chuck, prepare to be transported to Nerd-vana.

Following the casting of Quantum Leap’s Scott Bakula as Chuck’s dad, sources confirm to me exclusively that another sci-fi icon has been tapped for the show. Robert Patrick, a.k.a. the T-1000, is slated to appear midway through the third season.

But rather than coming from the future, Patrick will play Col. Keller, a mysterious figure from Casey’s past in “Chuck Versus the Tic Tac,” which I hear will be a big episode for Adam Baldwin’s newly-minted colonel.

Sadly for all you Buy More shoppers, there’s still no definitive news on Chuck’s return date. (Additional reporting by Keith Staskiewicz)

    • Robert Patrick?

Yeah this is awesome…wait a second…Robert Patrick sucks

  • Tim G. (@rural_juror)

Could he be Casey’s dad? Oh man, please?

    • Tim G. (@rural_juror)

Actually, no… he’s only 3 years older than Baldwin. That wouldn’t work. Older brother maybe?

      • JRose48

You’re right, they are only 3 or 4 years apart, but they look more than that. (Baldwin looks REALLY good for 47!)

      • Jen

Baldwin looks REALLY good for any age! ;)

Great scoop – can’t wait for Chuck season 3!

      • Zazazing

        Really, REALLY good!

      • laylagalise

Holy crap! Baldwin is 47?!?! No way! I don’t believe it! Yes, they totally look related. I was thinking dad too, but I’ll buy uncle or older brother.

  • fred

    first oh so heavenly…

    and a T1000 in a geek show… Niiiice.

  • Kate

I reckon he will be caseys dad, he looks like him a bit doesn’t he!

  • Sarah El

    Sweet!

  • Vee

Would it be too much to hope for Casey’s dad? The similarities are definitely there.

  • Shadow Step

  • Abseaz

interesting.. even more interesting would be the return date XD

I’m calling January 18th. Anyone in for a bet? ;)

  • Mike

Oh thank God we finally get a spoiler not regarding the B/S relationship between Chuck and Sarah!

  • Ruben

These two worked together on X-Files final season.

    • Kathy

Nice catch. I keep forgetting how many shows he’s been on before.

  • Michelle

As disappointed as I am about not yet having a return date, I’m buoyed by the fact that Chuck got an additional episode order and that they continue to hire guest stars. :)

  • Hope

Actually, another sci-fi icon appearing on Chuck was Bruce Boxleitner (of Tron fame) playing Aweson’s dad.

    • Snsetblaze

      Also from Babylon 5.

Now they need to bring in Ben Browder, Claudia Black, Amanda Tapping (how about some female Sci-Fi Icons), and Michael Shanks and Richard Dean Anderson.

      • Lyn

No, No, a thousand times NO!!!! We do NOT need SG1 appearing on Chuck.

Robert could easily play Casey’s dad, he looks old enough compared to Adam.
        Roll on season 3.

  • truthseekr

OMG! That’s awesome. Geez, I love this show.

  • Sam Carter

    AWESOMENESS!!!!

    Bring CHUCK asap please!!
