    If it’s a Flashback then Anderson would be their finest choice. She has the charisma and beauty for the role but if it’s in present day I believe Lena Olin would be great, she was awesome in Alias, although I agree with your suggestion of Jean Smart.

    Man, I don’t like the idea of Gillian Anderson as Walter’s wife. It would make strong some comments about Fringe being only a copy of the X Files (which I consider an absurd!).
    But I can’t think about any other actress. “/
