ABC is confirming that 24 cougar bait Elisha Cuthbert is joining the cast of The Forgotten in a recurring role.
According to the hot-of-the-presses ABC press release, Cuthbert will play Maxine Denver, a “strong and successful Chicago professional who is forced to put her skepticism of ‘amateur detectives’ aside when The Forgotten Network begins investigating a case close to home.”
Cuthbert is slated to debut on the ratings-challenged freshman drama in February, which is not long after she wraps up her multi-episode 24 return.
Getting back to the question I posed in the headline: Can Kim Bauer save The Forgotten? Or at the very least, will she get you to start watching (if you’re not already)? And lastly, did you miss me while I was away?

So, they throw out one 24 babe (Reiko Aylesworth) and replace her with the 24 babe for teenagers? Great idea.
Considering how Kim Bauer’s plotline made every episode of 24 come to a screeching halt, I’d wager, “No.”
Until season 7, that is. She might actually do a decent job with the show.
haha yes you were very missed. your substitutes cant fill in the shoes.. definitely, next time you take a vacation best wait till the shows do! LOL.. Anyways, on the Elisha Cushbert add on the Forgotten, I think the show is doomed anyways. Dont get me wrong its not bad.. But its not great. I think its something with the lighting and too much investigating on the investigation. A more complicated/less believable/more tedious version of Cold Case.
I thought I was the only one reminded of Cold Case when I watch this. I already watch this show, so EC joining won’t affect me either way. I dunno if I’d be watching this if SVU was still on at 10pm though, not much competition at that time anymore.
She’s a cutie though, perhaps she could get chained to something by a kidnapper? *g*

I already gave up on “The Forgotten”. I got a little behind and the motivation to catch up was simply not there. It’s an alright show, but it’s a little boring.
Totally missed you! Elisha Cuthbert will mean my hubby will NOT want to continue watching the Forgotten. Please tell me at least that we aren’t losing the either of the two wonderful women we have on the team????
I LOVE Elisha Cuthbert, but I’m not the type of person to watch a show or movie just because an actress I like is in it. I’ve never seen an episode of 24.

The only question I will say yes to is… I missed you, never leave.
No. In fact, I’m going to remove the show from my DVR with this casting. This will be the fourth woman on the show who is supposed to be a hottie but doesn’t have the acting ability to bring anything of interest to the show. The only interesting character is the older phone repair guy. The young kid had a good storyline that brought him to the group but he is completely underutilized. I’m done.
i’ll check out an episode to see what her character is about, but unless they have her parading around in skimpy clothing, then probably won’t stick around.
