Oh, Alex Karev. If your wife wasn’t such a pain this season, I’d be really angry that (according to an interview Justin Chambers recently did with TV Guide.com) you have a one-night stand in the first post-hiatus episode of Grey’s Anatomy, which also happens to be the first part of the show’s crossover with Private Practice. But who does Alex get busy with in the Jan. 14 episode? Beats me. My crystal ball is buried beneath an avalanche of unopened mail. Enter new Ausiello Files contributor/Grey’s addict Sandra Gonzalez, who narrowed down the possible suspects to the following six women. Warning: The odds presented below are non-scientific, so don’t take ‘em to Vegas. Foxwoods maybe, but not Vegas.
Reed (odds: 1-5): It makes sense that Karev would choose to work through his pain with the brash Mercy West-er, who has been undressing Alex with her eyes for weeks. But if Chambers’ claim (that the other woman’s identity will cause our heads to spin) proves true, it won’t be Reed. And if it is, Chambers hasn’t been watching his show very closely this season.
Lexie (odds: 1-2): They had a brief tryst in the past, so it stands to reason that Alex might once again play doctor with ‘lil Grey. And from Lexie’s perspective, what better distraction from all the McDaughter drama than another roll in the hay with a former Calvin Klein model?
Addison (odds: 3-1): It also wouldn’t be the first time Karev visited Le Bed Montgomery, but — as previously reported — Addison will have her hands full helping out Mark. And girlfriend has only so many hands.
Cristina (odds: 9-2): Should Hunt get busy with ex-love Teddy, Cristina might be out for a little revenge of her own. But why would she pick Alex when she’s already got another MD (i.e. Dr. Avery) ready, more than willing, and (we’re just assuming here) extremely able?
Meredith (odds: 7:1): Shonda Rhimes has said that Der-Mer’s upcoming troubles would be work-related, not personal. And we’re going to take her at her word.
Miranda (odds 15-1): Grey’s writers have been anything but subtle about Miranda’s rocky personal life. And Chambers did say the choice would shock people. Well, this would shock me!

I miss Addison and Alex. They have great chemistry and had such a nice build up until they decided to send her to LA.

I said it once and will say it again. I miss Addison!She brought a certain something something to that show. An intelligent woman who did not whine. I wish Addison would come back to GA and bring Sam with her.
They were awesome together but that’s not going to happen. There is more chance of Addie/Mark if anything.

I actually have to agree with Justin. Yes the spoilers are implied, but they have the spoiler on their home page…They should put something like “Alex and Izzy doomed?” or “Ausiello has Grey’s spoiler on Alex” so those who don’t want to know don’t have to click on it.

Amen. If you don’t want to know you don’t visit sites like this. Its the same reason I don’t look in certain folders in my feed reader the day after a show I haven’t watched yet. (When the previous night’s ep is usually discussed in detail)
ew hasn’t revealed anything more than a preview for an upcoming week would reveal. Chill out, if knowing something “big” is going to happen ruins the show for you, then maybe you are a little too devoted.

Interesting. It would definitely be out of character for Alex because he’s a red blooded man, but Avery on the other hand….. (I’ll refrain from any further comment, especially about his apparent lisp).

If it’s occurring on the Grey’s/Private Practice crossover, my bets are all on Addison. They almost got together in Grey’s season 3, but he went for Rebecca/Ava instead. Perhaps they’ll rekindle their almost-flame when they reunite!

This SUCKS! I really feel like Shonda’s losing her groove this season. She writes Izzie as a total selfish bitch, she has written obstacles for pretty much every couples (except Calizona) before 8 episodes had aired and now THIS. All the built up given to Alex in the past seasons results in THIS? Stupid, stupid, stupid!! (Yeah I’m frustrated, I’ve waited over 3 1/2 years to get my Lexzie and then this is what happens.)
I would love a short reunion between Alex and Addison. Gosh, they were HOT!!!!!
And like the only thing that made me watching season three ’til the end.
Reed would be boring – Miranda would be really shocking!!! Don’t see Meredith, Cristina or Lexie anywhere near Alex.
