She was portrayed as the villainous gal who was only in it for the money but Tracey, a 37-year-old homemaker from Allen, Tex., got the last laugh. While giving hugs to anyone who called her “unrecognizable” at the Dec. 9 finale of The Biggest Loser, Tracey talked to EW about her 87-lbs weight loss (from 250 to 132!), that fateful race at the start of the season, and her enviable dress size today. (Plus, a full list of everyone’s weight loss, after the Q &A.)
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: You’ve been watching the show. How do you feel about how you were portrayed?
Everybody asks me that question…and it’s okay. The person I saw [portrayed on the show], I was like, “Are you kidding me?” I was being portrayed like a villain who’s mean and nasty, and I’m not really a mean and nasty person! I really had to get myself composed. It took me a couple of days. Once I did, I realized what I had to do to stay there. I was doing what I had to do to take care of me. No one saw me staying in the hospital for 10 days from heat stroke and wanting my chance. No one ever saw that. When I finally got myself up out of that bed and went to that ranch, I thought, “I am not going to stop.” I want to be where I want to be. I’m finally going to live the life that I love. That’s what I had to tell myself every day. I put myself in a cocoon.
When you go back and watch that moment you dropped to the ground, do you second-guess the show’s decision to make you run a mile? Did they put you in harm’s way?
You know, there were a bunch of fat people who needed to change their lives. I think it takes something drastic to start with to make us all wake up and say, “I need help!” I needed help. Did you see me when I ran out the gate? I was like, “I’m gonna kick your ass!” That’s what I said running after Daniel, and I got in my mind that I could do it! But my body was not going to allow me to do it. So it was something drastic that happened that day. It was a freak accident, but when I go back and look at it, it made me stronger.
Was it a safe weight loss program?
It is a safe program. Your body will not quit on you. And if it does, you have to keep going. I was the perfect example of that. My body quit on me because I couldn’t do that mile. But I overcame it and kept going. And look at me now!
Look at you! Are you a size 2 or 4?
I’m a 2! I was a size 22 when I got on the ranch. I lost 20 sizes. 20 sizes! They had to take in my finale dress every single week. We brought three wardrobe changes.

Congratulations to Tracey! Whatever you thought of her gameplay, you have to applaud her dedication.
Tracey looked good but let’s forget Rebecca!
Rebecca looked like Skeletor.
And that blond hair and overdone makeup did not suit her either. It’s a shame because she was pretty.
I commend Tracey on her weight loss but I don’t buy that Tracey is a size 2. I am 3″ taller than she and the same weight (small boned and without excess skin) and there is no way a size 2 would work. Maybe a size 10 at the best.
That’s kinda what I was thinking…I’m the same weight and 1″ taller than her and there’s NO way I’d fit in a size 2. Size 7/8 in jeans is more like it. Maybe she carries the weight better (more muscle mass), but even so that’s a big difference between 7/8 and a 2.
I know it sounds odd, but it actually is possible. I recently lost 30 lbs, adding a lot of muscle in the process and ending up at 133 lbs, and I’m a 2 in nearly everything I try on now. Shocks the heck out of me every time, to be honest, but it is possible.
I don’t buy it. I’m 5’3 115 and most of the time I’m a 2 but sometimes a 4!
It is absolutely possible for her to be in a size two because she is extremely tone and has gained a lot of muscle which weighs more than fat. As someone who has lost weight by eating healthier and excersising consistently I am in smaller sizes than women comparable in size because I am toner.
Muscle does not weigh more than fat. The weight is the same- one pound.
I think she is trying to say that muscle is denser than fat – someone who is 130 pounds but muscular will be skinner and wear a smaller size then someone who is 130 pounds but not toned, so there is a lot of flab.
Why does everyone keep saying she went from 250 to 132? An 87 lb loss. Can no one add? They said that last night on the finale but if you go to NBC website, it says her starting weight was 138 (still over 100 lbs lost). Did she lose over 100Lbs or 87lbs??
Tracy wasn’t at the initial weigh-in in week 1. Her first weigh-in was at week 2, which was the 238. I guess they weighed her in separate before the mile race, where she was 250. So she lost 12 pounds while being in the hospital.
So the 238 is the beginning weight she had on campus. 250 was the initial weight she had when she first joined the show. Does that make sense?
No, it does not. Her final weight is 132. They are saying “87 pound weight loss.” That suggests she started at 219 pounds. If she started at 238 (or 250), she’d have lost more than 100. The math does not add up. (Also – 132 pounds is a size 2 maybe if you are like, 7 feet tall.)
Ooops, starting weight was “238″ not “138″. I can’t get it right either. LOL
OMG! Everyone did exceptional this season. Danny look awesome at the weigh-in. He deserved to win! But then again, so did everyone else. I’m so proud of all of them. Be glad when I can do it too! Way to go!
its so funny to hear some of you people get on “rebecca” for looking skeletor. Its so hard to please some people. Instead of focusing on her look, you should be inspired that she MADE IT! she was my favorite throught the show….& if given the chance…she would have won the titile of the BIGGEST LOSER! stop hating!
Dropping from size 20 to size 2 is nine sizes, not 20. Sizes 20 and 2 are “Misses” sizes and they are numbered with even numbers. If someone says they were a size 14 and now they are a 12, they lost one dress size. Not two.
That is the way Tracey thinks. LOL (I thought the same thing when I read that!)
Hehe – oops, should read all the comments before I post! I said the same thing!
Tracey may have lost the weight but that does not make one forget about her weirdness and over the top ways. I don’t think she can do anything with moderation including the weight loss…She doesn’t wear the weight loss well (ie, her face and the wrinkles) and she is by no means a size 2….I am 132 and NOT a size 2..try 6…
she doesn’t wear the weight loss well??? so does that mean she shouldn’t have lost it?? whatever!!??
I liked Tracey and felt NBC gave her a bad edit. I felt the true villian was Liz.. she was truly hateful where as Tracey was merely competitive.
I’m with you. I liked Tracey. You have to be competitive or else you’ll get sent home, and the point of the game is to stay on the ranch as long as possible, so you do what you have to.
I weigh less than that at the same height as she, and I’m not even a size 2! I’m pretty sure I don’t believe her claim. Just the other day, I went into a store where I bought size 4′s last year, that still fit perfectly, and I couldn’t even fit into a size 10. I guess the store started running small. She must be shopping at a store that runs big if she’s a 2…
I’m not trying to defend Tracey because honestly I can’t stand her, but before having my baby I weighed in at 135 (I am 5’3) and wore a size 2 so it is in fact possible. I guess it just depends on where you are carrying your weight.
It is possible she is between a 2 and 4 I am verly athletic and very muscular I weigh between 125 and 130 and wear a size 2.
Tracey looked too skinny. Her face was gaunt. She’s someone I could see doing crazy dehyrdation before the weigh in to try to lose water weight.
I thought Tracey looked weird, like she had had some work done or something else not all natural.
Tracey definitely looked like she was on some form of speed by the way she was clenching her teeth and her mannerisms. I wouldn’t put it past her. She can try to justify her behavior but the fact that every request anyone made of her she did exactly the opposite while pretending she cared. I actually think she is evil and find it scary that people like her exist. Her husband chose her but her children have no choice, I feel for them.
I thought the same thing about Rebecca. She seemed to be overly-energetic and I wondered if she had taken any stimulants to drop the weight.
Tracy did look like she was “tweeking” or on some type of drug. Which did not compliment the “runaway bride” look she already had. And I don’t buy the “I am competitive…” line if you were truly just competitive you would not be on the Biggest Loser.
