Wow, winning $250k he now qualifies for all of Obama’s numerous new “tax the rich” taxes. If he lives in NY or CA, he’d be lucky to take home $100k! What he (and us) really need is the FairTax. That way he could have kept all his winnings. Support the political candidates that support the FairTax.

Numerous times they’ve mentioned the players’ hometowns — Danny’s from Oklahoma.

Congratulations Danny! I’m so glad he won. All the contestants have so much to be proud of. They’re all such an inspiration, especially Danny, Shay and Daniel. Keep up the great work everyone! May god bless them with continued sucess and great health!

SOOO happy for the winner, Danny. However, Rudy only lost it by 5 lbs. I agree with everyone’s comments regarding Tracie and Rebecca…. and WTH??
This seasons’ cast were all wonderful – CONGRATS!!

The actual number on the scale may have only differed by five pounds, but Danny’s percentage of weight lost was 2.68 points more than Rudy’s because of their difference in size — Rudy is much taller than Danny, so five pounds on him isn’t as much as five pounds on Danny’s smaller frame.

And to think if only danny had moved his sorry pathetic lazy arse around more than 5 minutes a day 30 some years ago, we wouldn’t all be wasting precious minutes of our lives congratulating people for finally pulling their heads out of their own sorry arses!

    I can’t stand reality TV.

But at least this is for a good cause. Being healthy.

Was it just me or did anyone else think there was a little something going on between Bob and Amanda? I thought it was kind of creepy. Other than that I am so glad that Danny won. I am so impressed by his and Rudy’s weight loss. I also thought Julio looked amazing as well and the guy who proposed. They are all amazing!

ha-ha! I said that too — like his “connection” with her was enough for him to switch “teams”.

Anorexic Molly Shannon! I said the SAME exact thing, except I said “Anorexic SUPERSTAR!”. Tracey is def. crazy enough to have used something to supplement her weight loss. Eek. She looked gross.

What happened to season one winner Ryan Benson? I remember seeing him in tv ads a couple years ago where he clearly had gained some of that weight back. It’s like that they are pointedly avoiding mentioning him why?

DMC, I wouldn’t call regular exercise and healthy eating “unhealthy weight loss”. Starving yourself, taking diet pills, fad diets and other shortcut methods are unhealthy.

Unless you’re implying that since she went home that she employed one of these methods (or another like it) rather than sticking to the things she learned on the ranch…

I’m a regular watcher, but there are a number of things I’d like to see changed:

    1) have contestents start with a similar fat % or BMI. Some of them didn’t have a chance of winning.
    2) Have more emphasis on showing us what they eat and how much. Also, be clear about how much time they spend in the gym. In real life, people watch this show and get discouraged because they don’t lose 10 lbs in a week…. but most of us don’t have time for 6+ hours a day in the gym.
    3) More emphasis on maintaining. Of course, because they all dehydrate themselves for the finale, they’ll all immediately gain 5-20 lbs, but what about in 3 months or 3 years when real life has taken over and them have to fight to not fall back into their old habits. I think maintainence training would be valuable.
