'Lie to Me' first look: Felicia Day revisits 'Dr. Horrible' triumph

Members of the Cult of Felicia Day now have even more reason to tune into Lie to Me on Monday: The Queen of all things nerdtastic and awesome not only acts, but sings!

In the episode — the drama’s fall finale — Day guests as a teacher who brings her class to the Lightman Group on a field trip, only to get stranded there when a disgruntled farmer threatens to blow up DC. In an effort to entertain/distract the little kiddies, Day’s character performs a duet with Loker (Brendan Hines).

The end result has iTunes smash written all over it. At the very least, the addictive, so-wrong-it’s-right track better be on Hines’ next album. But don’t take my word for it. Watch the scene after the jump and post your sure-to-be-glowing reviews in the comments section!

dam it when i saw you had Felicia Day news i was hoping it was she is joining Big Bang Theory as a regular =D

    • Adam

ggny, that, I have to admit, would be above and beyond awesomeness. Perhaps I should start tweeting her to do it..?

    • Shiny Tim

      My head would explode.

    • castiella

Would that cause some sort of universe-imploding Wil Wheaton paradox, since he guested on both Big Bang and The Guild (Felicia’s webshow)?

  • Taylor

I loved the preview, and it looks like this is going to be a really great episode. Thank you so much for the Lie To Me scoop, Ausiello! I absolutely love Lie To Me, it’s such a great show.

  • Sara

As a former violinist myself, I’d like to see her play more often. I geeked out for the three seconds she played in “The Guild”.

  • Manuel

the first time i will watch a Lie To Me episode. i think Felicias magical voice will hook me up with the series but we will see :)

  • Kate

  • cas

    • Cyndy

Thank God I wasn’t the only thinking of that particular combination of awesome! *sigh* I miss “The Middleman”

      • castiella

I miss it so much, I might cry… if I weren’t so busy geeking out over this AND the combo of Wendy Watson and Bryce Larkin on White Collar. (Now would someone PLEASE hire Matt Keeslar?)

      • Melinda65

I miss it, too. One of these days I’ll have to catch up on White Collar for Natalie Morales.

    • rebecca

Oh God, that was my first thought as well.

  • worldofhiglet

Frantically hoping it’s available here in Canada!

  • Valkyrje

    Adorable!

  • TheJimMiller

How fun! I already watch too much TV, but will definitely catch this ep of ‘Lie To Me’.

  • Dee

How hot is Brendan Hines??? Seriously. There was Felicia Day? I didn’t notice.

    • castiella

Seriously, I would very much like to be in the middle of that sandwich. (I would so switch teams for a Day!)

  • Faith

    Too freken cute!!

  • :D

Lie to Me is so awesome. Can’t wait!

  • buffyrat

OK, who hasn’t fallen in love with Felicia Day by now?!

    • JerryB

      Not me!

  • Grambo

    You had me at Felicia.

  • Nick

FELICIA DAY is amazing! I don’t get why some show hasn’t nabbed her full-time yet!

    • Michele

I was just thinking the same thing. She is awesome!

    • King Skippus

Actually, she’s being very smart by hanging close enough to mainstream media to stay in people’s view while exploring a nascent medium which still has room for pioneers. I for one would much rather see her pursue her independent projects than to be chewed up by the Hollywood machine. The way she’s going (without being tied down in a starring role on a network show), we get the best of both worlds!
