Football ruled the weekend ratings this December weekend, with overrun from an early Sunday evening game giving CBS’ primetime lineup a boost (thus all numbers below for the Eye net are approximate) and NBC taking the night with the Philadelphia-New York matchup’s 18.1 million viewers, according to early Nielsen estimates. Oprah, meanwhile, gave ABC a nice little holiday present with her Christmas at the White House special building a bit on its Extreme Makeover: Home Edition lead-in and improving on last week’s numbers in the same timeslot for Brothers & Sisters by almost a million viewers. Earlier in the weekend, NBC garnered a rare Friday victory as well with a Law & Order featuring the guest-star return of Benjamin Bratt (8.8 million viewers) and a Dateline about the Tiger Woods scandal (9.3 million).

Wasn’t a great night but Family Guy was hilarious.
great football game miss Family Guy
I enjoyed getting a glimpse inside the White House, but Oprah spending 20 minutes looking at the President’s desk pictures and then obsessing about hydrangeas was a bit much. I turned it off before it was over.
Great game, wish the Giants would have won it though
What were the numbers for the Dexter season finale?
