NBC’s Sunday Night Football scored Sunday night, but CBS won the evening with afternoon pigskin-boosted 60 Minutes and Tom Selleck’s Jesse Stone: Thin Ice, which garnered nearly twice as many viewers as ABC’s airing of The Sound of Music. Earlier in the weekend, Christmas gifted NBC with a rare Friday victory thanks to its repeat airing of its Saturday Night Live Christmas special, giving 4.6 million viewers a break from festivities (and from reruns of Ghost Whisperer and ‘Til Death).
