If you, like me, have been impatiently tapping your foot waiting for that damn Arrested Development movie to get made, I come bearing reasonably exciting news: The Bluths are headed to FX!
Well, two of them are anyway.
Jeffery Tambor will lend his voice to the Jan. 28 episode of FX’s new spy-spoof cartoon Archer, which co-stars his Arrested leading lady, Jessica Walter, as the domineering mother/boss of a secret agent.
In the episode, Tambor plays a United Nations intelligence chairman who Walter’s Malory tries to woo for the benefit of her spy agency.
Archer premieres on Jan. 14.

Last I heard the whole cast was on board. Also I think Jason Bateman said the movie is getting ready to be written.

However, I am excited about this. Archer looks pretty good. And I like how the characters are animated to look like them.
Come on guys, Ausiello does this all the time! It’s like, his thing. I’m desensitized to it now.
Having said that, sounds like a neat little reunion of actors.

Archer is awesome. Same writer from Sealab and Frisky Dingo. They aired the pilot last season and it was pretty damn hilarious. Can’t wait to see more.
Not cool, Mike. It’s true that I watch Arrested Development for these two. But also for every other actor in the series, and especially their alter egos, the Bluths. Shame on you.
I’ll take my Arrested Development reunion any way I can get it. And hey, at least Archer looks good.

Sounds like it will be an interesting movie. Speaking of which, voting for top indie movie of 2009 has begun on indiemoviemania.com. Should be interesting to see who comes out on top.
