I was just wondering if Amy and Sheldon had any chance, but what I read the answer is no.Too bad!I was hoping to see Sheldon experience love. When Penny gave him the napkin from Leonard Nimoy I thought that was the start,( they hugged )…Proud Canadian

So would I! I could see it happening. Too bad Chuck Lorre can’t…

There is just something about Penny and Sheldon I Love! I just would like one kiss that’s it Lol. Just a dream sequence even? Ah well.

As a Sheldon/Penny obsessive I hope they rethink this. I like that Sheldon is seemingly asexual but I love the idea of Penny “breaking” him. It gives hope to us average girls there who have a love for intelligent seemingly uninterested men.

Ugh. This bothers me more than it should, because now I know I’m going to have to suffer through more Leonard/Penny. They’re really not good for one another. I feel like they bring out the worst in one another.
While they wouldn’t be the perfect couple, Penny and Sheldon made the most sense, because while they do have their spats and bad moments, they have personalities that compliment each other well. They each tug at one another’s comfort zones while still being there for one another and taking care of one another. Also, they’re both really alpha. Again, they aren’t the best of couples, but it’s one hell of a lot better than Penny and Leonard.
Having Sheldon remain single would have been fine. There are people who just stay single and remain asexual. That’s completely fine. But I feel like him and Amy is not working. She’s too much like him. Real life couples should have things in common, yes, but these two have too much in common. You need some contrasts to keep things going. Having Sheldon and Amy become an official couple makes it feel like they’re pairing everyone off, and that I’ll have to suffer through more Penny/Leonard. Intellectually they’re on par, but I feel like they don’t really challenge one another otherwise. That, and she’s pretty beta rather than alpha.
Why bother making a statement that they don’t plan on Sheldon changing to have relations, if they’re just going to throw him together with someone not long after? It just pissed me off. Stick to your word, people.

The only people who want Penny and Sheldon to get together are nerds with unresolved issues of hooking up with the hot girl at high school (mind you, that’s coming from a nerd). Just buy the DVDs of seasons 1 & 2, and relish in Leonard’s success. I do agree with the previous comment that they shouldn’t overplay Sheldon, but can we try to get past the ‘Let’s Love The Original’ cliche bs. What you’re feeling for the first two seasons is your love for something that feels new, and your reasons supporting it is simply backward rationalization of loosing novelty. The show is just as great as it was back then. In fact I watch the first two seasons and miss Bernadette(sp) and Amy. As for the rest of the cast, I’d love to see Raj make an attempt at women again… and actually make a tiny bit of progress. I love whats going on with Howard and Bernadette, and I think we’re all forgetting about yet another potentially awesome platonic couple, Leonard & Amy. That’s what I want to see more of. Oh yea, and I’d LOVE to see Alice from The Good Guy Fluctuation return. She was awesome!

Then why is he dating Amy now? I’m not digging the Shamy. Seriously, she’s such a drag though, they’re too alike. It’s funny when Sheldon does it, but not so much for Amy. I liked that Sheldon and Penny were so different, and they had so much chemistry. Their scenes together were hilarious.

I liked the idea of Sheldon never dating, but since they’ve obviously decided to get him to date someone, I’d rather it be Penny than Amy, or any other fem-Sheldon clones they want to bring in the series.

xD I know LOTS of people who want the romance to BLOOM! I would be screaming my head off (in a good way) if Sheldon and Penny went out xD xD

Penny learns by being Leonard how to be with a nerdy guy like him
Sheldon learns by being with Amy how to be in a relationship baby steps at a time.

In the end, it’s like a preparation on how Penny and Sheldon can be together but I think that would be the finale of the entire series lol.

    Just a thought.
