Tags: , News

Not quite, but CW president Dawn Ostroff tells me she is feeling very optimistic about the show’s renewal odds. Read the full post.

AWESOME :P Maybe we can get the full 10 seasons!

  • Alex

There should be no doubts for Ostroff. Smallville has done surprising well for Fridays (the nights where shows go to die). What else does the CW have for Friday nights anyways??

  • Dani

I would believe her, except, isn’t she the one that said that she was pleased with how Veronica Mars was doing, and then canceled it not too long afterward?

  • Debbie

Season 10 OH YES! I love Smallville, it has to return

  • Mike

I think it would be a hugh hit, if they would have a season 10, but as the last one, but if they could have him as Superman, with the tights and flight, the whole 9 yards. I think then the rating will go up, and especially with the visual capabilities we have now

  • steph

she admits, she never believed smallville would make it to season 10. she deliberately moved smallville to fridays to end it. Hopefully we get a season 10!

  • Nathan

Smallville has been EPIC this season. I can’t wait for more.

  • Tracy

LOVE this season and I so want a 10th season!

    Please renew SMALLVILLE!

  • HerbFinn

Here’s an idea – remame the show Metropolis and get Clark to finally be SUPERMAN!

A New Superman movie is years off,so what’s the hold off.

Then use season 10 as a springboard for a new SMALLVILLE spin-off.

    • Silent Rage

There would be some kind of legal dispute if they were to use start calling him superman, just like how in the Sarah Connor Chronicle’s they couldn’t say the word terminator…they called em toasters

  • Andrea

they definitely need to come back with a 10th season. it just wouldn’t feel right if you ended it now. and too much has happened to have it end so suddenly. until an S is on his chest, smallville shouldn’t end!

  • Kalie

Yes, please. More “Smallville”. I’m loving Season 9.

  • S9Void

S9 has been so unwatchable to me because of too little Allison Mack. She’s a fine actress and tremendously underutilized this season.

    • Justme

If you hate Chloe’s screentime in S9, you must really of hated the first 3 seasons because she is getting more screentime per average episode this season then all 3 of those.

      • Dave

I watch this show for Clark Kent. He’s the damn start of the show. I like Allison Mack but she does not make or break my enjoyment of this show. Frankly, I saw too much of her in SEason 8 and I’m happy to see her back where she belongs–as a sidekick character.

      • S9Void

Compared to season 8, she’s on too little. She makes the show for me. She’s far too important to the show to be considered a “sidekick” character anymore. I personally can’t stand the scenes with Lois, they are excruciating.

  • jordan

Where did THAT come from? She said in the summer that she was hoping it’d go for even MORE than ten seasons. But she is right, she has no choice but to renew it with the success it has had in its ninth season on a friday cw night. that ostroff lady has some nerve.

  • timotey

I lost touch with the show around season 3 but I do plan to buy it on DVD as a whole once it’s done so I do hope that there’ll be season 10!

  • Stephanie

Yes Dawn…the fans are VERY happy with the show this season! It’s not often that a veteran show hits it’s stride in its 9th year. As a long time Superman/Smallville fan let me plead my case to the CW network now…Bring Smallville Back for year 10! Please?
