keep it going , one of my favorite shows. cant wait to get season 5 when it comes out. i always wait till it comes out on dvd to watch it.

  • Meg

It’s been said repeatedly that, even if the show goes to a season 06, the whole Lucifer storyline would be finished up in this season. It wouldn’t be dragged out, limping, until it dies.

  • Jenell

I have like only 4 shows that I watch and this is one of them. It is very good to hear that it might be sticking around, one of my favs!

  • lulu

There is no downside to another season of Dean Winchester. I could totally go for a post-apocalyptic season. The End was awesome.

    • Agnes

One more season of Sam Winchester wouldn’t suck either. :-)

      • lulu

lolz. Not for me sister. I’m all about The Dean (and his angel). But I think Sam as Lucifer could be pretty hot if he lost the old-man Suit and loafers. :)

        To lulu

Fine that you are only in it for the slash but most of us actually watch for both brothers and the plot.

      • lulu

@ Liz so you’re in it for the wincest. That’s much more wholesome. Also perhaps you didn’t notice while you were counting JPs minutes of screen time but Castiel is part of the plot.

      • Liz

        To lulu
lol Sure, sure, try and tell yourself that if it makes you feel any better. Not everyone is an obsessed slasher.

  • TheScientist

NO! Let it end at S5, don’t drag this out to the point where the plot lines become mundane and hackneyed! Both of the Js are engaged to be married, which to me signifies that they are ready to start families (ChiCon) and/or try new things and projects.

    • Shannon

It does seem like the guys are ready to move on. Hopefully S6 will be their last and they can go on to live their lives and bigger and better things.

First of all,say thank you to such a good news but in fact, I’m feeling complicated now. Supernatural is certainly my most favorite TV show, so I must be glad to hear that it’s continued as long as they could. But on the other hand, I don’t want to see it might be ruined…well, possibly to be so or not… I’m not sure. Well, if there’s next season, I’ll watch it anyway.

I have faith in Eric Kripke to NOT mail the sixth season in. For a show like Supernatural, it’s really easy to ‘jump the shark’ (Just ask Joss Whedon). Supernatural is still going strong and I know EK said that it was only supposed to go for 5 seasons. Hopefully if there is a sixth season, it won’t destroy the roll the Supernatural in on now. I love this show!!!

    • Nicotine

*the roll that Supernatural is on now.

    • Lawrence_KS

I don’t think it’s possible for a show with as amazing actors and writers as Supernatural has it run the show into the ground in one season. It has been getting better and better and unlike shows like, Lost (for example) they have been answering their questions and keeping the momentum they started in the first episode. There will always be new problems emerging and new monsters climbing their way out of hell; so we’ll need guys like Sam and Dean to stick around!

      • Nicotine

        I really hope you’re right.

      • Zoey

I thought you were saying Lost was a sh*tty show for a second, but then I realized you were just saying they don’t really answer the questions they pose, which is true. I was totally gonna go crazyass fangirl on you for a second. Haha.

  • Supernatural Fan

I am a HUGE supernatural fan, so much so that every new episode is like christmas for me. Though I love the show, I hope it ends this season. I feel that if it goes on longer than this the show will just jump the shark. How can you beat the apocalypse?

  • christina

I good for a sixth season as long as they dont run it into the ground. i have been watching this show since day 1 and i dont want to see it end badly. if the storylines are good season 6 is very welcome!!

  • Maddy

As long as Kripke, Jared and Jensen are on board, I’d love a season six.

  • Jamie

This is awesome news! I LOVE this show. It’s definitly getting better with age!

  • eriwei

Glad to see Ostroff acknowledging Supernatural’s quality and success. Imagine what could have been if they had EVER really promoted the show! Please Kripke, make season 6 happen!

  • Lawrence_KS

OMG!! (I can’t believe I seriously just OMGd) Anyway, this is like the best news EVER! The show has had such a loyal (slightly obsessive, and I mean that in the best way possible because I include myself in that description) fan base and others are finally starting to see what we’ve seen since the beginning; ie. the recently won People’s Choice Award. It’s a dream come true for a network when a show just keeps getting better with age and Supernatural is one of the few that has succeeded in that task. We all believe so much in Kripke and we know that him staying on board for a sixth season would be nothing short of spectacular! Kripke, we believe in you! Go for it; for the good of all mankind!

  • Agnes

Just please, EK, end the apocalypse and wrap up this storyline as promised. Put the brothers together again. Then if there is a S6, all the better.

    • Hal

I agree. This is pretty much the only way I could be tempted to watch a season 6.

  • Marie

Loved first 4 seasons. Not so much a fan of the whole Michael vs. Lucifer religious apocolypse story line. Would love to see a sixth season ONLY if Kripe could keep it fresh. Otherwise, please put it to bed. For the most part, it was a fun ride while it lasted.
