I am going to assume that the people smart and creative enough to create and write for the characters would have enough sense not to move thier relationship backward. Botn Breenan and Booth have had other relationships and they have spent 3/4 seasons building a solid relationship for the two of them – at some point not moving the relationship forward just becomes stupid and dull.
The rumors of them fighting and hating each other is about the look back. I think we will see a very adversariar relationship in the flashback. Given we know they had a BAD first case. To show the contrast of how far they have come. And maybe it opens their eyes on their feelings…I am not worried. I think it will be a big step forward but not completely all the way… But I am not stressing it. I have learned to wait and see what happens…

Usually when they decide to go into a “new direction” it ends up being a huge fiasco.
Personally Sweets deserves MUCH better than Daisy… please say it isn’t them. Isn’t she already a regular on another show?
As for Bones and Booth, getting them back to distrusting each other or walking on tenterhooks around each other will send fans running to other shows. I, for one, don’t want to watch that. Since I’ve felt the dialogue has been strained between them (read: fake, stilted, arch) the last various episodes, and that the great camaraderie/innuendo flirting that has gone on previously between them has been lacking, I’m worried about what the “new” direction will be.

Guys wait until the show airs. I doubt the “new direction” is anything major. If Brennan and Booth come to any realization of their feelings; it is going to impact how they go forward. I am not worried. It sounds like a interesting episode. I am not worried. I doubt they will go back to hating each other. That would be to drastic at this point. The show knows how much fans like the relationship. If they wanted them go back to having adversarial relationship; Booth would have had amnesia and forgotten Brennan after the surgery. I think the twist will be about getting Brennan to recognize her feelings. Remember they like to hype things up. Wait and see how it unfolds.

This worries me. New direction… I hope they don’t take a step back in the Booth/Bones relationship.
Omg I know it won’t happen but I would love to see Booth and Brennan get drunk in Vegas and get married! That would be absolutely wonderful to me!
At least give me one steamy kiss between them. That’s all I ask. If the writers mess up their relationship and rip them apart I will be quite upset.
Wonderful? Really? That’s bad fanfic and if they did that on the show, it would be ridiculous. It’ll be worse than the AU season 4 finale.
i seriously think people will stop watching if booth and brennan start fighting. their chemistry is basically all the show has going for it. i have to say i’d stop watxhing if the fought all the time and i’d stop watching if they became a couple…their usual banter and subtle flirting is just the best! i want them to come together in the very last episode but not a second before that
I enjoy the banter too, and I’m not in a hurry for B&B to get together, but I’m not a writer or producer and I don’t get a say in the matter, so I’m just going to sit back and enjoy the show, in whatever direction it goes.
they could ha e great chemistry as a couple by keeping the same bantor and flurty way of their present relationship. Why can’t they be totally in love have sex and work well together. But alsp keep her qurky sort of lack of understanding and their way of agreeing to disagree in the script???

It isn’t real life. moon lighting took a dive because of bad acting and horrible writing in the end. They put the two together and then tried to change their characters into June and Ward Cleaver. If they leave B&Bs personalities alone their sexual relationship shoulod work out just fine.
