Press Tour Video: 'Heroes' cast talks death, shake-ups, and a possible season 5

Heroes fans may be split on whether the show should continue on for another season, but there’s no such chasm among the show’s cast. “It would be a shame to end it now,” Jack Coleman told me last night at NBC’s press tour party. “I think there are more stories to tell.” Adds James Kyson Lee: “The funny thing about the [Heroes] world is that there are so many possibilities. It could be us, it could be the next generation of Heroes, maybe we’ll come back older… ” New Heroes? Come back older? What the what?! Please proceed to the video player after the jump for more…

This isn’t Perez or ONTD, so no need for these types of comments lol

  • mel

Please God let it end. it’s pathetic.

    • Travis

No one forces anyone to watch anything. There will never be a show that satisfies everyone, but why should a show end just because someone like you doesn’t like it.

      • OCAMPO

Nope. That is exactly why shows end…because people don’t like them. I wouldn’t mind a clean series finale that brings the show some closure…but unfortunately I don’t see that happening.

      • brant

or, more accurately, Travis, why keep a crap show on the air just because you and 10 other people like it?

    • Rick the 8th Wonder

yes thank you God let heroes continue on because its a series i actually like

  • Fefe

Heroes should use season 5 to wrap up all loose ends and close down shop. That is the only way it can reedeem itself and help the fans move on.

  • Kate

Jack Coleman’s right, it would be a shame to end it now… cause it should have ended 3 years ago. Saying there are still more stories to tell insinuates that they’ve been telling stories so far, which just isn’t the case. They’ve been stringing together ideas with little or no care for narrative or character consistency. Stick a fork in this one already; each time they claim to be back on track, it’s just a greater disappointment.

    • thin

You are right on the money. The only shame here is that it just keeps going on… and on and on and on.

    • Kevin

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Please kill this show. Why is the cast so devoted to it? Can’t they see it’s ruining their careers?

      • Supaman

        $

      • Rick the 8th Wonder

heroes is getting better than it was

  • Ann

Say No to Spinoffs. This isn’t a CSI style franchise (which, really, do we need that many spinoffs?)

  • sparkle the gym bag

please just finish it off now it is so sad to watch what was so promising go so terribly wrong

  • K-Dogg

This season has been a lot better than Seasons 2 or 3… but I think that there are definite possibilities for another season or two (if done well, which is the problem). Obviously, it all goes back to the strike-shortened season that really pissed off a lot of fans (me included). Having an end-game saved LOST from taking a nosedive like HEROES seems to have done. NBC would be well served to follow LOST’s lead and provide its writers with the opportunity to write an endgame for the series.

  • Tohn007

It’s sad how my feelings for this show has changed over the course of this season. I stuck with it during the seasons where everyone was trashing it but this season I just completely lost interest. They should just end it already.

  • Jim

The person(s) responsible for greenlighting a 5th season would no doubt be the same who thought Leno 5x a week in prime time was a brilliant idea.

    • Travis

Funny you mention that. Leno actually being cancelled will be a boost to Heroes returning. NBC now has 5 hours of air time to fill next season along with the air time of any cancellations, it makes sense to use a show with a bi8g following to keep some of that air time filled.

  • Re-Tool

Time to kill Hiro and maybe a couple of other characters, re-tool the show, and start fresh. Bring in new people and start storylines we care about.

  • Chris

    Just end it already.
This show has sucked since about 3/4 through season 1. They couldn’t even make a complete good season.

    • J

Thank you!! Everyone says the show started to suck when season 2 started. No. It’s started after “Company Man.”

      • thin

I really think the first season was solid all the way up until the ridiculously anticlimactic finale. And then yeah, all downhill from there.

    • PEtrelli32

      Wrong Dumbass

  • J

Of course they are making the case for Season 5. They still want a paycheck. But if they think the show they are on is good or deserves another season they are delusional.

  • LD

I have not really enjoyed Heroes since the first half of season one, but I held on in the hope that it would live up to its promise.

The DVR recorded last weeks 2 hour episode, but all this talk of another (likely) aimless season made me realize that enough is enough. In a fit of lucidity, I deleted the the most recent episode and will record it no more.

    I feel nothing but relief.

  • TV on the Brain

Blah blah blah. Heroes gets record low ratings this year, and the actors just want to keep their jobs, considering they couldn’t keep a job anywhere else.

Kill it off already, stop wasting money on this garbage now.

I” admit there are alot of loose ends on characters, Like they never resolved Nikki’s son, he just disappeared, I love zachary Quinto, but sylars character is old. They need fresh villian. I though Ali Larter would have been a good villian after last season take revenger on other heroes for the wrong reasons would have been cool. But i just feel this series drags on story lines like a daytime soap opera. The actors are good on this show and they fail to use them to their potential
