Brothers & Sisters is flashing back to the ’70s and ’80s. The ABC drama is casting younger versions of the entire Walker clan for a special two-part episode set in 1973 and 1986. Among the roles the show is looking to fill:
William Walker at 33 (set in 1973)
Nora Walker at 28 (set in 1973)
Holly Harper at 21 (set in 1973)
Kevin Walker at 14 (set in 1986)
Kitty Walker at 18 (set in 1986)
Tommy Walker at 16 (set in 1986)
Sarah Walker at 20 (set in 1986)
Thoughts? Casting suggestions?

I actually think the actor who currently plays Ryan can play the younger Kitty. He has a soft, feminine face and can easily pass for a young Calista Flockhart (spelling?).

I’m confused. In 1973, wouldn’t they all be really young, like infants? Justin wouldn’t even be born yet! How old are all the Walker siblings?
I was just thinking the exact same thing. Justin would not have even been born in 1973, although I believe all the other kids would have been born at least because they are all a good bit older than Justin as far as I know. I’m really excited about this idea and think it will be very cute to see the Walker siblings interacting as little kids but I hope the flashback year is a little later so Justin is at least 3 or so when this takes place because if it took place at a time when he isn’t born yet it wouldn’t be as good to me. I want them all to be shown.
I’ll answer my own question! This is from December 2006, so not sure how much they’ve aged in the show since then:
Sarah – 39
Kitty – 38
Tommy – 36
Kevin – 34
Justin – 26
If you look above, they only have Nora, Holly, and William listed as appearing in the 1973 version.
JUSTIN isn’t even mentioned!! Go read the article again!!!
Sarah is 42, Kitty is 41, Tommy is 39, Kevin is 37, and Justin is 29.

No worries… I think we’re on the same page! So Justin and possibly even Kevin weren’t born in 1973. And the other three were 2, 4, and 5. In other words, I got no casting suggestions!

She wouldn’t even be pregnant with Justin in 1973. That’s about when Kevin would have been born and he is like 7 or 8 years older than Justin. I’m hoping that maybe the date is wrong because I would at least like him to be thought of when this flashback occurs lol.
I think that it is a no-brainer to cast Taylor Lautner as Kevin.

Why do they want Nora at 28 and Sarah at 20? No wonder Nora’s so progressive after having her first child at the age of 8.
Haha yeah that’s really confusing not to mention if Sarah was 20 in 1973 that would make her 56 now. There has to be some mistake with this and still no mention of Justin (if you couldn’t tell he’s my favorite character lol). I’m VERY excited about this episode though so however they do it I’m sure it will be awesome! I absolutely love flashback episodes!

Sarah was born in 66, according to the post, and in 66, Nora was 21, still according to the post!!!
As of this moment (12:07 PM on 1/12/10) there is absolutely nothing confusing about the post. I’m sure the initial post must been a mess, but it is fine now.
Sweet, so they are introducing Time Travel on Brothers & Sisters too? Hopefully they can go back in time and bring back young Tommy to the future to replace Balthazar Getty.

It turns out Sarah is someone else’s daughter too! No wonder William was sleeping around… he was married to an 8-year-old.
how can Nora be only 8 years older than Sarah, I am sure she had her kids young but that is pushing it a little.

I’m assuming that the entire episode is not set in 1973 and they must be shower later years as well because how could Nora be 28 and Sarah be 20? Even in the crazy Walker family I don’t think Nora would have been a mother at 8 years old.
See now that would make sense lol and I think that is an even cooler idea than just focusing on one year.
The cast from Glee might be good, too.

I think only the Nora and William characters are for 1973. The others seem to be for a flashback to around 1991.
