After spending the last couple years on the sidelines, Jesse Spencer is back in the thick of things on House. In this season’s first four months alone Chase separated from his wife, murdered an African dictator, physically assaulted his boss, and took his sometimes-miserable old job back. And Jesse Spencer has been loving every minute of it. “Season 6 has been awesome,” he told me last night at Fox’s press tour party. “They’ve been writing some really good stuff for me. It’s been pretty dark, but really fun to play.”
In the following video interview, Spencer discusses the the new energy on the set, the loss of his leading lady, Jennifer Morrison, and the possibility that she might return at some point. Well if she comes back i hope it will be just for a couple of episodes. I really disliked her character this season and House MD has already too many actors to deal with.
I partly agree, I like her character but you’re right with there being to many characters already, espically when it’s about House. If anything we need more Wilson and Cuddy since they’ve been sidelined alot to.

Me too… I think they should get rid of Lucas and just focus on the original characters (including Cameron, Taub and Thirteen!) I wish they could find some way to incorperate them all.

I have hated her character from day one. Whiny, manipulative, professional victim bulimic/anorexics do nothing at all for me. I wish they would have let me kill her off. It would have been fun – for her, too. It iwas a vivid and unique death I had in mind…..

Cuddy is not anorexic. She has a nice shape to her. I think she could definitely gain weight but she’s not THAT thin!

I completely agree! I’ve wanted them to be a couple ever since the beginning of the show. I know they probably wouldn’t work out, but it’d be nice to see that relationshp be explored further.

Well put, MiaS. Thirteen has no personality whatsoever. I didn’t understand why they kept Thirteen in the show. The only reason I could think of was to hook her up with Foreman to keep the “coupling” theme going in the show, which was truly unnecessary in my view. Besides they have absolutely no chemistry!
Killing off 13 would be an act of kindness to the audience. She’s has one of the blankest, least expressive faces on television, and they have tried everything to make her character work, but nothing helps. Choosing her over Cameron was insane.
Why does he say she might come back and then wink at us? is he joking and she’s not coming back?
He’s towing the company line/lie about her returning (which we all know is BS), and that’s why he winked. DS and KJ came up with that story to placate the Cam/Jen fans, but she’s not coming back.

Or he’s winking because he actually knows something about the possibility/timing of her return. (Obviously it wouldn’t be permanent, but I’d be shocked if she *never* appeared again.)
I’m confused about the exaggerated wink as well, especially since he volunteered that little bit of information on his own. I like Jesse (and Chase) very much, so I’d hate to think he was participating in the stupidity of giving false hope to Cameron fans. Leave that crap to Shore and Jacobs. I hate that Cameron is gone, but I also hate that nobody will give us an answer we can trust. If she’s not coming back, somebody needs to have the guts to say it, and to stop giving mixed signals. It’s no wonder Cameron fans can’t “move on” as we’ve so rudely been told so many times.
The show is never going to risk losing viewers by coming right out and definitively saying that a character is not coming back. You’re never going to get a straight answer. It will be ‘maybe’ until House goes off the air and Cameron’s lack of return is all the evidence you need.
I hope she doesn’t come back. I really got bored of her misplaced self righteousness. It was ridiculous.

Her “misplaced self-righteousness” was always on behalf of the patient. Nobody does that anymore. There is no advocate for the patient unless Cameron is there. As House himself said in an early episode, he needs Cameron to keep him in his place. I need her, too.

Chase is my favorite character after House/Wilson/Cuddy. Jesse Spencer has really great chemistry with Hugh Laurie; an underrated actor, in my humble opinion.
I miss Cameron, and so at least this keeps alive hope she could return at some point!
plus I love Chase/original team. But also Taub and Thirteen. Heck I love them all – can we just have everyone as one happy House family with no icky relationships please?

She’s so little! Gorgeous, yes, but “little girl”-little. As in ten-year old. I love Taub, but I’m starting to hate “House-in-training” Foreman. He and 13 together are dreary, and she acts like she’s his pet. At least Cameron spoke her mind and had some balls. I vote for more Wilson, less Cuddy (love LE, but hate Cuddy), no Foreman or Thirteen, and Cameron, Taub, and Chase as the little duckies.
Seems like everyone is saying as little as possible about JM’s departure so I smell something fishy going on. I think that Cameron will return in a shocking and unexpected way. At least I hope so. I miss her!
