Ratings: 'Two and a Half Men' delivers huge numbers

Despite Charlie Sheen’s recent negative media coverage, ratings for his sitcom are still huge: last night’s episode of Two and a Half Men scored an impressive 17.3 million viewers, according to preliminary overnight ratings. That’s 1 million more viewers than the sitcom’s last new episode, which aired in December. Over on ABC, The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love actually grew about 1 million viewers from last week’s premiere. And Chuck may be one of the lone bright spots in NBC’s line-up as the action-comedy settled into its regular Monday time slot with a solid 7.3 million.

I am so glad Chuck did well in a tough time slot. NBC *gulp* made a good decision last year!

      I love this show! catloversmatch

  • Jill

Sad to see “The Bachelor” getting more viewers than Chuck or HIMYM. Who cares about that crap?

    • Star

      Agreed. People really like crap.

  • t.t

    yay chuck! :D

  • TorontoTom

Do ya think the first week without ratings juggernaut Monday NIght Football had a little something to do with the ratings increase of these shows? I hardly think that Charlie Sheen trying to kill his wife caused an increase in his show’s ratings. Ridiculous to even suggest it…

  • Nic.

Last night at 9pm Fox aired a never before seen Season 1 episode of Fringe, not a repeat of House.

  • ray

? fringe was on at 9 on fox, not a house repeat

    • Dave

You’re right. I didn’t watch it yet, but I noticed it on my DVR playlist this morning. I had no idea it was on. Why exactly did they put a new episode on last night?
Anyway, if the numbers listed there for the House repeat were indeed Fringe’s numbers, Fox should consider moving it to Mondays at 9 permanently. 7.8 million is certainly better than the mere 5 or 6 million viewers it manages to get on Thursdays.

I don’t see how One Tree Hill can do better, even in repeat, than other shows…it is dreadful this season!

  • E.W

What happened to the ratings for Fringe?

  • Dave

Good for Chuck. I’m not a huge fan of the show, but the episodes I have watched were very good. It’s nice to see a quality show finally performing well. Kudos to NBC for renewing it and for promoting it so well this year. This will probably be the first year that fans won’t have to fear cancellation.
Heroes is dying right now. These are the worst numbers I’ve ever see for the show. The cast may be talking about season 5, but I would assume that NBC won’t be able to afford its budget when it gets ratings this bad. Sorry Greg Grunberg.
And seriously, 17.3 million people watching Two and a Half Men? It’s one of the worst shows on TV! It’s painfully unfunny. And poor Better Off Ted can barely manage 3 or 4 million viewers on Tuesday nights.

  • The Real UGH

Anybody who still watches Two and A Half Men should be stoned in public.

    • scrabblequeenbee

whoa!! did you not have you’re coffee? I don’t watch two and half men, because of the unclean script.
But, I know people that do. Please don’t stone them.

    • Angie

You can stone me cause I watched it and laughed my A$$ off!!!

      • FamGuyrocks

I too laughed and thought it was funny, obviously people love it for it delivering numbers like it. Two and A Half Men isn’t for everyone but for those who like it, LOVE it. I have watched it from the first season and will until the end. Yes Charlie has his troubles in the media right now but I am a die hard fan of MEN and the show was funny last night especially the budding friendship with Alan (Jon Cryer) and Herb (Ryan Stiles) being loathed by Judith, this show rocks!!!!

  • pop

    keep it up chuck!

  • Sarah

Yay Chuck! Glad it still held on to Sunday’s strong premiere. Lets hope the ratings stay around 7 mil, that would be great.

  • bunker

I don’t understand how a show so consistently awful gets such good ratings.

  • Rob

anyone else surprised about HIMYM only getting a 9.8 for their big 100th episode? GO CHUCK and BIG BANG THEORY!!!!

  • psb1962

WHAT ABOUT FRINGE..WHAT WERE IT’S NUMBERS??!!
