NBC has just unveiled its post-Olympics, Leno-free midseason schedule, and there’s good news for fans of Friday Night Lights who don’t have DirecTV. The drama’s fourth season — the one currently airing on DirecTV — will make its Peacock debut on Friday, April 30.

Finally is right! Been waiting forever to see the new season. FNL is one of the best shows on television. Too bad none of these award shows can see that. Sucks that we are gonna have to wait till April though…
Yess! I have been rewatching season 3 on Netflix, so this is perfect!
Fiiiiiiiiiiiinally!
Finally – can’t wait to catch up with Eric and Tami Taylor and of course Riggins!!!
Don’t get too excited; the Peacock will probably cancel it on April 29th.
when nbc renewed the show last year, it was for a guaranteed 2 season commitment.
how many episodes are there going to be.usally tv seasons end in may
13 episodes
If NBC was smart, they’d rerun some of Season 3 in the open Leno slot to prep fans for the new season
But, NBC is clearly NOT smart!
Sadly, FNL will probably not do better than Leno. Whatever their flaws, I have to give NBC props for the fact that FNL still exists.
Whatevs. I didn’t like how they handled this last year or said they handle it this year, so I’ve been watching in online, now i can rewatch sooner than expected.
Seasons 4 and 5 got the same order as Season 3, so 13 episodes
It’s been a great season. Can’t wait for the folks who don’t have DirecTV to pick it up so there can be some convo about what has been going on in Dillon!
Yipppppeee!! Can’t wait to see Season 4!
I would like to think FNL airing in May and June will put the show in Emmy voters’ consciousness as they send in their ballots!
its about damn time!
ugh, well nbc should put it on first thing in march….. this is stupid.
Yeah! I LOVE FNL!
As an Austin, TX native who grew up there and went to one of the high schools they based a lot of this on, I have to say that is the most accurate portrayal of TX high school football I’ve ever seen. Fantastic show, great actors, great writers. Deserves more respect than it got. Anyone who saw the whole first season knows that. Can’t wait for Season 4.
