First, I take Alex in any role and I will love him. Second, Moonlight was not a failure. It was cancelled for other reasons besides ratings. As far as Three Rivers, it went against football, schedule changes and episode changes. Considering all of these factors, it did well. The show was just getting into character development when it was cancelled. I firmly believe that if better decisions had been made at the beginning, this show would have survived. This should be no reflection on Alex’s capabilities as an actor. He is a fantastic actor who has great charisma and given the right show, he will prove himself to unbelievers.

  • Bianca33

I would like to add that fans must learn to support him, regardless of the show. Alex O’Loughlin deserves this!

    • alavenia

I agree Bianca, if they had supported him on Three Rivers we would have much better rates and the show would have had a chance to survive!

With Vampires selling everywhere CBS turned the sexy Vamp Mick into a doctor , and now they are trying to put him into another silly cop show , because we don’t have any of those in TV. Original. Thank you CBS , but No Thanks!.I will be watching another channel or my Moonlight DVD,

  • alavenia

I don’t know how to feel about a remake of Hawaii Five O, but if Alex is in it I will be watching, I want to have him back to TV sooner than later, I am a little worried after what happened to Three Rivers, that show was never given a fair chance, I believe would be better a spin off of Hawaii Five O than a remake of the show!

  • egon

he did play on cop on the shield

    • Julie

      Hottest cop ever!

      • Lisa

Agreed. Alex was great as Kevin Hyatt. He’s be versatile.

      • Natalie

Kevin Hiatt was Alex’s cop role. He was so hot. All his tatts were there, shiny smile. Yum!

  • Casi22

I saw the original and it wasn’t something I loved even then. There were other cop shows I preferred. I’ve been trying to think of remakes that have been more successful than the originals and none come to mind. I hope Alex thinks long and hard before he jumps on this one. I think he could do better with Moonlight!

  • Terry

Why don’t they realize that Mick St John charmed everyone who found it (and it wasn’t on long enough to gain the audience that it has even now with the DVD), but Moonlight was more than Alex. He was showcased beautifully and the part brought out all his talent and good looks. He is wonderful in a romantic sexy role – including the long hair, the wardrobe they gave him, the mystique. Put him in some plain old doctor or detective show and he is just another actor. I love Mick but Mick was more than Alex O’Loughlin – he was Alex with romance and mystique. They need to cast him right to make it work.

BOOOO!!! My whole family loved Moonlight and we want it back. My two girls , my husband, we all loved Moonlight.I cannot believe it, CBS? , Vampires-2010?. And your great idea is a show that my grandparents watched?.What about The Three Stooges? , Yes Bring back that one.

    • jenn

Maybe your grandparents can teach you something about writing, punctuation, capitalization and spacing. lol

      • kirstein

Sorry, they are dead.Same as this Hawaii-fiveO

      • JT

“Same as this Hawaii Five-O.” You end sentences with some kind of punctuation. Go back to school instead of watching all of that television. Your poor kids.

  • kris

NO NO NO!!!….Not in A remake… and certainly NOT a remake of THAT AWFUL SHOW!!!
    BRING BACK MOONLIGHT!!!!!!

  • Ann

CBS should stop playing around witht he fans whom without their support would be nowhere. We heard talks wer going on for a Moonlight ressurection. Vampires are hot right now. Moonight was unjustly canceled due to back stage bickering and nothing to do witht the ratings, cast or storylines. The fans and actors were promised a second season and got shafted in the last second. We deserve and the integrity of the characters deserve to have more Moonlight. As Three Rivers just proved, Moonlight was not about the actor or his actor centric fans. Moonlight is about the storylines, the cast and the amazing chemistry between the two leads. Can’t CBS come up with anything fresh and original as Moonight was? They have various versions of CSI, NCIS and now a remake of an old television show. I have no idea how they can do as well as they do. I for one choose NBC as my network of choice. If anyone of influence reads these posts, please give the viewers what they want and have been asking for–bring Moonlight back. Hey, WB are you listening.

  • NANA

CBS HAS TO HAVE ANOTHE CRIME SHOW? WHY? BEEN THERE DONE THAT! WHERE IS YOUR ADVENTURE CBS….MORE MOONLIGHT

    • Julie

      Snooze.

  • Deana

I know that Alex O’Loughlin will be Awesome in ANY role he takes on and he would be Awesome in this role too! From what i’ve read about this new Hawaii Five O is it would have different characters, not Steve McGarrett and Dano so that would make it more of a spinoff then a remake and we all know CBS has had a lot of success with spinoffs. The only problem I have with it is, I don’t want Alex to move to Hawaii…

    • alavenia

I agree Deana, I believe that a spin off the show would work much better! I don’t like the idea of him moving to Hawaii either, but I can see a vacation in Hawaii in my future!!!

      • Donna

If Alex does move there which honestly I don’t think he will. Alavenia, lets pack our bags and take a vaction to Hawaii.
I don’t like the idea of a remake since they don’t really do well. I would like to see him NCIS and go up against DeNuzio another hot man. There would be some competition there.
I wish him luck in his new venture whatever show it will be. No matter I will be watching.

    • Michelle

I will watch Alex in anything, including Three Rivers, which, sorry, was pretty bad. It got 8m viewers just because of Alex, what was CBS thinking when they brought that show to life. Moonlight, I absolutely love, but what a laugh to bring back a 2 year old cancelled show, please lets move on. Not crazy about Hawaii 5-0 but will watch it and hope CBS does this one right! And,oh, a little romance added to the detective work would be just the ticket. (Love the Jason Dohring idea too!)

  • jon

Back-to-back failures is right. God CBS don’t let this man ruin a classic!

    • Julie

Bitter much? HE didn’t ruin anything.

  • Too Sad to Say

gee, why don’t they find a red head and remake “I Love Lucy”?
MOONLIGHT wasn’t a failure, CBS’s handling of it was the failure. Three Rivers was an abomination of writing.
NOW this? A waste of this man’s energies. A stake to my heart would be quicker…..

  • Susan

I’m for whatever Alex wants to do. Its his decision to make. As a fan, all I can do is support him and watch! Hopefully, the third time will be the charm! :)

    • Lisa

Well said, Susan. As a fan I’ll support whatever he decides to do. Remakes are risky but if done well it can be pulled off. Any new show is risky. Alex will have to decide when he reads the scripts.
