Wanna know the best time to hit up a TV producer for spoilers? Take it from me, it’s when they smell a Golden Globe coming. Read on and feast on the scoopapalooza Ryan Murphy gave me just minutes before Glee‘s big victory last night:
* He’s putting Rachel and Puck back together! “I was really surprised [viewers responded so favorably to that pairing],” he says. “I thought people would find her to be far too irritating for him. But by the time [we heard that feedback], we had already shot the first 13 [episodes]. But because I read that — in your column, actually, so you get the blame — I was like, ‘I’m going to get them together in some way.’ So we just finished [writing] a special episode where they are together, and they have two numbers together. It’s episode 4, ‘Bad Reputation.’”
* The upcoming Madonna episode deserves to be called “very special.” “It’s big… huge. We’re shooting it now. It’s got like 10 numbers in it, and the production value is very big. We adore her and worship her, so when I’m directing, I’m always like, ‘Do it for Madonna.’” (Ed. note: Murphy wouldn’t say which Madge tune Jane Lynch’s Sue would be doing, but I can confirm that it’s “Vogue.”)
* Kurt’s gonna get lucky. “We just announced we’re doing a nationwide search for the season 2 cast, and [a boyfriend for Kurt is] one of the three roles that we’re adding. And we’re going to make them a power couple. We’re not going to do the whole hiding in the shadows thing. We’re going to make them popular, and out and proud and glamorous. Like prom king and king. We’re doing the opposite of what’s been done.” But wait, there’s more: “We’re also casting sort of a Eve Harrington [from All About Eve] to kind of steal Rachel’s thunder a little. So those are two of the three.”
* He’s gonna keep us seeing stars. “We got Olivia [Newton-John],” he recounts. “She’s going to come on and do ‘Physical’ with Jane Lynch. Jennifer Lopez wants to do the show, so I’m going to meet with her. In the past couple of months, a lot of people are coming out saying they love the show and would I meet with them and write something. But I don’t want to stunt-cast too much, because I think the [musical] numbers are already so extravagant. If I do Jennifer, I would want her to be, like, a lunch lady. And [exec producer] Brad Falchuk is obsessed with having Bruce Springsteen on the show, so I’m sure we’ll go after him at some point.”

Interesting….I’ve hoped since the beginning that one of the football players would be gay, you know, going AGAINST stereotype. I love Kurt, but he is SUCH a stereotype.
I love Kurt because he feels realistic. Sure, it’s a bit stereotypical to have a fashionable gay guy who loves musical theater on the show, but that describes a lot of gay guys
For those who obviously have no idea, Chris Colfer (the guy who plays Kurt) originally auditioned for Artie, but didn’t get the part. Ryan Murphy talked to Colfer, looked over his background, and then wrote in Kurt’s part based on Chris Colfer. He’s actually gay and obsessed with theater in real life.
Steph, Kurts part was based on Ryan Murphy the creator/producer, not on Chris Colfer,their is no official conformation of Colfer being straight or gay

I could actually see Mark being gay, on the show. I don’t know/care about real life, but I could see him being gay with Kurt. But maybe it’s cause I love Mike and don’t want him to be gay lol
well mobmp, steph is actually right kurt was not a character until chris colfer tried out because he tried out for artie and they thought he was great at acting but not meant for artie so they added in a part for chris colfer and made him kurt the gay guy it is on youtube.com……and i think i could see mark being gay

I Second that! the only bummer in their situation are the two “inn’s”. they did have genuine feelings for each other, but because of Quinn and (amateur)Finn, they decided not to continue their relationship. i just love Puck and Rachel.

Priscilla has it right. I love Puck and Rachel together. They have more chemistry than Puck/Quinn and Finn/Rachel put together. Cerena has a point. Quinn and Finn deserve each other.
I TOTES love them together too, but I feel like, after watching these last two eps. [14-15] that Finn and Rachel just are too perfect. And it just makes me feel weird to hear about them together after those last two episodes.
I don’t know if Quinn will end up with anyone. She never really liked Finn or Puck. And she’s also happy now that she’s moving out of Puck’s house, remember? I’m almost 100% sure she has no feelings for Puck, because once you live with someone, you get to know who they really are…I like Puckleberry. I like how Puck tells Rachel that he wants to be a good guy. And she sympathizes with him too

They are polar opposites and I can see a potential for a deep loving relationship, but also an endless stream of comedic moments as they both grow within their relationship!

Actually, *Quinn* and Rachel would be kind of hot, but completely unexpected. However, I think *Finn* and Rachel are too predictable. I like the idea of Puck and Rachel mainly because it deviates from the assumptions the audience was led to make in the first episode, which was that Finn and Rachel would end up together, and it keeps you on your toes.
actually santana and brittany would make a hot couple…! oh, and rachel and finn is totally predictable, plus, puck should stay the hottt male cougar he really is… they just need to give glee a twist and if it doesnt work out go back to normal. i wouldnt blame quinn for hating puck and i wouldnt blame finn for hating quinn… haha

Nah, they’re fabulous. It’s so much more interesting than watching her moon away endlessly over Finn. (Yes, I realize high school girls spend the majority of their life mooning over someone who isn’t interested, but it’s boring). It would be nice to see Finn actually chase after Rachel once he realizes she’s moved on.

I’ve been thinking the same thing about Finn. I think that should happen; he needs to be on the other side for a bit and realize how it felt for Rachel. I’d love to see some angsty Finn pining for Rachel. Think of all the song potential!
The thing is, Finn clearly IS interested. They just can’t get around the complications. I like the idea of him getting jealous of Puck/Jonathan Groff/whoever and chasing after her, though.

Ugh! I was hoping that Jonathan Groff would be so charming that they’d keep him on permanently as Lea’s love interest. Bummer.
Shame for him, but it sounds like the show is getting too crowded as it is. There’s already 12 kids in glee club and were getting 3 more, plus this “Shelby” person for Will. Sounds like the storylines are going to be stretched pretty thin. I wished they’d focus on/flesh out some of the original characters before adding more.

Putting Finn and Rachel together simply because they’re the leads is incredibly boring. The quirky loner falls for the cute quarterback, we’ve seen it a million times. I’d love to see them mix it up and build a nice angsty relationship between Puck and Rachel.

I think the opposite is true. Puck/Rachel was random and they have nothing (aside from religion in common). Finn and Rachel care about each other and are really only ok being who they really are together.

Finn is my least favorite character on the show. He’s boring and dumb. Rachel (and Quinn for that matter) need a dynamic partner, not a snoozefest. I’ll take Puck/Rachel or hell Rachel/Quinn over Finn/Rachel and Finn/Quinn.
Finn is my least fave character too. Very boring…every other character is so developed and so unique. I say bring in a new heartthrob cuz he does nothing for me.
