I just obtained some rock-solid intel that should aid Serena in her search for her missing dad: He looks just like actor William Baldwin!
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Gossip Girl has tapped the former Dirty Sexy Money star to play the pivotal role of Serena and Eric’s estranged father, William van der Woodsen.
A show spokesperson declined to comment, but I’m told Baldwin is booked to appear in at least three episodes; his first airdate is slated for April.
Great casting, no?

Actually, I think it’s kind of hilarious. Unfortunately for Blake, she has a certain facial feature that resembles Billy Baldwin quite a bit.

AGREED. I NEED to know here and now whether or not I must watch this show or not, because if they break up, I’m officially DONE with GOSSIP GIRL. There is a way to write these two as a devilishly sexy couple WITHOUT all of these horrible, mindless, asinine games. And I know this because I’ve come up with better storylines that make sense. It’s ridiculous. The writers need to revist season one, for crying out FREAKING loud. And YES, I am freaking…I am allowed to freak. I used to love Chuck and Blair. Now they are dying…and oh how painful it is to watch.

They’re only tired because they are written so poorly. Sadly, I agree with you. I loved (past tense) Chuck and Blair. Now I loathe them, but I blame the producers/writers. It’s like they’re purposely trying extra-hard to make them boring…sadly, it is working. And what’s even more sad is when they try to “liven” them up, they end up coming up with even lamer storylines that just p iss off the fans. Unbelievable.
well, who aren’t they writing poorly for? chuck and blair are boring, nate is like the most useless character at the moment, Dan and Vanessa’s storyline is crappy, and i’m not even mentioning Eric and Jenny…Serena’s storyline is kinda interesting, too bad she’s a bad actress who’s got only one face and never wears it off…wait a sec, why am I even watching the show? xD
