I love you Conan
Non of you have any idea what your saying, its not jay’s fault and not coco’s. neither one has the power to make choices like that. there is no loyalty in Hollywood… jay was fired and had his job taken away from him, and given to conan just as conan had his show given back to leno. Jay had no say what so ever. and he was not let out of his contract after he was fired. why would a guy who worked his entire life to get the Tshow just to retire after 15yrs at #1 it makes no sence. this sad sad story is about greed plain old greed on NBC’s half. The jay leno show was a huge success, on many levels you really have to look in to all the under the table dealings its not just ratings, to understand, cost, time, those are a few factors. not to mention there was never a show like that before. so no one really knew what to expect, and leno has gone on record by saying he never thought the Jay Leno show would work. NBC rushed a good thing and crashed it. bottem line is NBC messed with a very very sensetive eco system. and ruined Leno’s hall of fame run and conans career. in the end we dnt know if conan could shoulder the show, fact is he was down by 56 percent thats fact and also fact Jay never lost a rating in 15yr’s i think conan needed more time. but then again who would want to watch the Tshow anymore after all the spilled blood. people have to understand the battle had nothing to do with who was who it had to do with the public being comfortable with the latenight show as well greed. and you have to admit conan is very very funny but he has a very spechial comedy show as leno is not as in your face attack comedy like conan. its neithers fault.
During the Olympics, NBC usually runs a late-night recap of the day’s events that can run up to an hour.
Conan wasn’t man enough to admit that he was killing the “Tonight” show with his inane and juvenile antics. He probably had an opportunity to negotiate with NBC but chose instead to throw a public tantrum. He was the one destroying the franchise but was too much of a baby to admit it. Just compare the ratings. Bye bye, Conan, and don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.
Welcome back, Jay!
