It's true: Rob Lowe to exit 'Brothers & Sisters'

I see another heart attack in Senator McCallister’s future.

Rob Lowe is departing Brothers & Sisters later this season, the actor’s spokesperson confirms.

According to Deadline Hollywood, which first broke the news, Lowe felt he was being underutilized on the ABC drama and asked to be released from his contract. The network granted his request and he’ll leave at the end of the season.

Deadline is also reporting that ABC wants to remain in business with Lowe and is talking to him about headlining his own series.

There’s no word how B&S plans to write out Lowe’s dreadfully boring character, but a Robert-Kitty divorce seems the likeliest scenario given the couple’s recent marital woes. Either that or his ticker finally gives out.

Which scenario would you prefer? And will you miss him? Sound off below!

Oh no! That really really sucks. He and Kitty were finally so awesome and wonderful together! I’m not happy.

    • Brooke

I agree. I wonder if they can write it in a way that doesn’t mean Kitty has to suffer a breakup or a death. I’m not creative enough to come up with any ideas for what that might be, though.

      • Alan

I don’t think even the most creative person in the world could write him off that doesn’t involve a breakup or a death. I think his death is more realistic than a divorce, given the circumstances: She’s extremely sick with cancer, they just adopted a baby, they just made up, he just supported her run for congress, etc. I just don’t think divorce is realistic.

      • Elizabeth

Maybe he goes to Washington and actually acts like a senator.

      • Kevin M.

That could work, just drop a throwaway line about how he’s in Washington, or “home looking after Evan,” etc., every now and then. Which keeps the option open for guest appearances.

      • sw

assasination attempt on kitty and robert steps in front of the bullet.

      • Chris V.

He could become an ambassador to a foreign country after Kitty is elected to the senate. Kitty could go visit him now and then.

      • Dianne

Kitty dies first and then robert marries the babies mother since it’s probably his kid anyway.

      • Dorrie

Maybe Kitty could fall in love at first sight with someone else and divorce the Senator

      • DonnaBee

How about another fine actor taking over the role of Robert? I don’t believe Rob Lowe has say over the entire character or story line, does he?

      • mary ellen bruce

move hime into the Jack & Bobbie repeats on the WB website!!!

      • kathryn Tafoya

I agree with Alan, That’s the most realistic way.

      • dating-doctors

He should do a show about a politician in vegas and call it the lion den.

      • Natalie

I will be really disappointed if after all that, he and Kitty just get divorced. I like the keeping him open for guest appearances idea but I could deal with him dying if it meant that he and Kitty didn’t have to get divorced

      • Trazey

oh god, anything that spares us (ok, ME) having to see more Kitty fake-stoic ‘poor me’ close ups, gag me! i was hoping the cancer would get her off the show, not rob lowe :(

      • Beth

POOP! if they are going to lose him yo better believe the writers are going to make it dramatic. Heart attack or airline crash?

      • Derek

Dianne, what show have you been watching? Your comment makes absolutely no sense and bring nothing to the table. I think you should know the the storyline before making such a suggestion. That’s all.

      • bec

Didn’t he say something on last week’s ep about building schools in Africa?

      • michael

They can be creative with the death, but I think that he’s going to die. Another bump-in-the-road-leads-to-divorce would just be tired

      • Beth

Maybe a really long dream? haha

    • tj

I thought that the season was going very well. Now that Kitty is going to run for office I thought they were going to get down and dirty together. I am really sorry he is leaving. I really like him as an actor and he will be sorely missed.

      • Marion

I love Rob Lowe – why not give him a more substansive role instead of just letting him walk!

If he goes I do picture a heart attack not divorce.

        TOO BAD!!!!!!! BOO-HOO

      • Liz Ellerbe

I agree with Marion. What’s the big hoopla over Kitty, with her pouty mouth? She’s depressing and he’s uplifting.

    • Michael

BOOO! Robert can’t leave! He and Kitty were FINALLY getting there marriage back on track! The end of last episode was so good with them, and I was like “FINALLY.” Oh, man, that sucks… I’m really disappointed. What does Lowe even mean, “not being utilized”? It’s an ensemble show, no one character is more important than the other. I mean, it’s not “The Robert McCallister Show.” Man, I am really upset about this. Nevetheless, if it MUST be, I really hope it’s not a divorce. That would just be too much, after all they’ve been through, then finally getting them back in a good place, it would just not make sense. A death would make more sense. But either way is going to really upset an already traumatized Kitty, I just don’t think she could handle either one.

      • lint

THIS. It is an ensemble show. And to be honest he is a secondary character anyway, as he is not a Walker and was not there in the beginning. He should be happy with the role he has.

      • yup

He did the same thing on The West Wing. One of the best shows in history and a definite “ensemble”… he leaves because his poor character wasn’t in a starring role. Go away Rob.

      • Shel

I guess I’m confused because I thought he actually has had a pretty decent storyline with Kitty being sick, etc. I like them together, don’t really want to see Kitty dealing with a broken heart from a break-up or death. I would lean towards death so I wouldn’t have to deal with them acting like this great reconciliation wasn’t real. But a death means he can’t come back. Recent episode had him mentioning going to Africa and really doing some good – perhaps that is what they will go with. But, having him gone without a break-up or death, hamstrings the Kitty character too. Wish he hadn’t done this right now.

      • Zakry

I agree with you guys, how is he underutilized, exactly? He and Kitty’s story has been frontburner since he got on the show. He’s run, he’s had kids, he’s had that past love he’s supporting, his wife had an emotional affair with the single dad, he’s had a heart attack, his wife had cancer, he’s come to fists with Kevin, uhhhh, that character has been very “utilized!”

      • Susan

I agree with Yup. He is a great ensemble actor but not strong enough to handle the lead. His attempts after West Wing failed miserably. He’s just throwing away another wonderful opportunity.

      • James

Put me in the camp of those who are shocked at the “under utilized” claim by Rob Lowe. He’s just an in-law. The same way Scotty is just an in-law, and Julia was. And if anyone can say under utilized, its those two characters. If Rob Lowe really feels that way, then let him walk and be a baby. It shows that he has a lack of class and its a spoiled brat. Perhaps this is the kind of shakeup that will force this writing team to get creative and come up w/ better storylines than the trite “heart attack” and “cancer” storylines the McCallisters have been front and center with for the last couple seasons.

      • Darlene

If it is true that Robert Lowe does not want to be in this series–let him go! His role has already been diminished by the heart attack he had and the strain it puts on his health now and in the future–bring back the healthy character from the park.

    • Marie

Beat it, Rob! Your character sucked anyway.

      • Margaret

I totally disagree…Rob Lowe was great in the West Wing and great in B&S….he wants a series with more content for his character – that’s show biz!

      • susuns

I disagree as well – I love his character on the show and will miss him!

    • D

The only way to have him leave that is plausible is to kill him off, as sad as that is. There’s no way Kitty and Robert would have major marital problems after renewing their vows and the whole bit. Sucks, though. I love Rob Lowe!

      • DJ

I’ll miss him as Robert McCallister. I don’t think he’s boring, but then, I just started watching this year, and have been catching up on Netflix, so maybe I’m not to that point yet. I hate to see characters die on tv, but I’d hate to see them split, too. I agree, it’s just not in line with the story right now.

      • Beth

They could divorce and his character spins off and goes to WASHINGTON? Instead of Brothers and Sisters they could call it Liars and Lovers?

    • Lisa

Unfortunately the most likely way to eliminate Lowe’s character is another heart attack – this one fatal, because it would be less dramatic for him and Kitty to divorce. I’m still going to miss him…

    • rita benedict

I think he should die in his sleep with a heart attacked. his wife well think twice about running for a office maybe she will be a mother to that baby she wanted so bad.

      • Derek

As I struggle just to look past your poor grammar Rita Benedict, I find your solution to Lowe’s exit to be annoyingly pitiful and sadly one-dimensional. That seems a little too cliche` in my opinion.

    • Tom

      M-o-o-n — that spells unhappy.

      • marven gardens

        hahaha!

      • LostAtSea

        Lol!

    • sue

I agree with what I am reading. I will miss him. I love him and Kitty together. If he leaves, I would prefer his death because they are so good together… I don’t want them to divorce….

    • Gabby

I really don´t want “the senator” to quit. I´m not sure I even want to look at b&s anymore if he disapears ): They have to keep him (= please!!!!

  • Michael

I wish EW.com’s tactics were a little more sensitive to the fact that not EVERYONE wants to have their TV shows spoiled. This headline was ridiculous.

    • Caro

      I completely agree with you.
I also blame networks & publicist for giving away this kind of information way before it happens

      • Alan

How would they hide this? Sometimes cast members sign up to be a new show before their exit from the last one happens. So then you’d know right away that they were leaving. For example, Elizabeth Mitchell from Lost was announced as a cast member of “V” before she even left “Lost”, but because she already committed to a new show, you knew that her character on Lost was doomed. You can’t hide things like cast changes, you can only hide PLOT details.

    • Ed

I agree. Though I like some spoilers, this is a big one, and I’d appreciate a headline that wasn’t so revealing. As a reader, I’d appreciate an option as to whether or not I want to be spoiled, and this headline gave me none.

    • Alan

That’s ridiculous. Announcing cast member changes does not constitute a spoiler! Annonucing plot changes is what constitutes a spoiler! so every time any news organization reports on someone joining or leaving a show’s cast, they have to hide the headline in a “spoiler”? ummm, I DON’T THINK SO.

      • Shiniqua

Um, the Ausiello Files is nothing but spoilers and casting info (and I LOVE it). I’m not sure what else any one reads it for: Weather?

      • Erin

Shiniqua, you do realise that these types of posts appear on the central page of ew. I agree, if you’re in ausiellos column you’ve got to expect spoilers of some sort. But they plaster them on the front page of the site also. And in my case if Dexter, I wasn’t even on the darn site, I was flicking through the news via google.

      • Alan

Erin, as I said earlier, cast changes are not spoilers. You read cast changes everywhere: people.com, new york times, TMZ. I mean come on, it has nothing to do with spoiling the plot of a show. EW has every right to announce cast changes and cast members leaving or joining a show without it being hidden in a secret vault of secrecy.

      • babsmcphee

“Announcing cast member changes does not constitute a spoiler…”??? You cannot be serious. This is huge and leaves you know choice but to know pretty much what will happen before it does. That is the definition of a spoiler.

      • Erin

I have no problem with the article content but more so the the actual subject/title and how it’s displayed. It’s going to appear on the front page of the mag’s website, how about something like Brother & Sisters lose a cast member? Something akin to that. Many other blogs use this same sort of common sense as many hate being spoiled.

To be honest I don’t have that big a gripe. I think I’m still just annoyed with the Dexter thing – to which I had been to numerous blogs and sites and although I knew the twist was huge, that was obvious. But not not one gave it away in any of their headlines.

They could learn a thing or two about the guy who just posted an interview on EW for Nip/Tuck. ‘Inside last night’s big twist’. Doesn’t give anything away for any of those who don’t care to know.

    • Erin

Yeah. Ew totally gave away the Dexter twist when I was avidly avoiding anything if the sort since I hadn’t been able to watch it yet. All other news outlets I cane across were totally fine, I knew which interviews and articles to avoid. But then they came out with some crappy subject line re desperate housewives and a certain actress. I’m giving up on ew, give me tvguide any day.

      • castiella

If something has already aired, it isn’t a spoiler… and most organizations (including EW) waited a few days before putting that particular twist in the headlines, anyway.

      • tvgirl48

I agree with castiella, viewers can’t complain about “spoilers” which are really people talking about major plot developments in shows that aired already. It’s ridiculous to think they should wait or take into account ALL the ppl who haven’t gotten around to watching something yet.

      • Margaret

I couldn’t agree with you more – I missed first season of Dexter; and then heard how great it was. I bought the DVD set – and I was hooked. I didn’t order Showtime; as I had gotten used to watching two – three epsiodes at a time. And this year on EW – first they report on the death of Dexter’s Sisters (forgot her name) lover – the hot FBI guy – and then the death of Rita the week of the season finale. EW – STOP THIS – many of us wait to see the Blu-Rays when they come out or DVR the series and watch when we can – you spoiling it for everyone who isn’t watching on TV on date/time first aired. What if someone has a conflict and decided to record Dexter and then you blow it with a major plot ruin the next day! I really enjoy much of what you post – but why spoil Dexter and now B&S?

      • Alan

Yeah, Erin, I don’t think website is for you. I mean, maybe every new show should have a
“mystery cast” only announced on the day of its premiere. I can’t believe you would be so upset to hear that a cast member is leaving a show. The cast members on a TV show change all the time. Every single show on TV has cast member changes from season to season. You cannot expect EW to hide every single cast change of every show as a spoiler. That’s the silliest thing I have EVER HEARD in my life.

      • Meme

I vote you cancel the show it stinks.

    • Leslie

Um, then stop reading these blogs? Really? Come on now.

      • Rachel

I have to agree that i am upset about the headline. 1) To Alan, how can a huge cast change not be a spoiler? Sure, maybe I don’t know exactly how it happens, but now that I know he’s leaving the show, the Kitty-Robert storyline is spoiled for me. It is a spoiler, and a big one at that. 2) To Leslie, I actually don’t read Ausiello’s blog for the reason I don’t want to be spoiled. I avoid his section on EW. I go to EW’s site to read reviews, recaps, etc. That said, it’s quite sad when I go on EW’s homepage and there’s a picture of Rob Lowe with the headline: “It’s true: Rob Lowe to exit Brothers & Sisters.” Ausiello’s headline was staring me in the face..it was unavoidable. So if one of these stories is going to be on EW’s homepage, a less revealing title would be nice for those of us who do avoid Ausiello’s blog because we like to be surprised when watching television.

      • Cindy

If this was an exclusive to the AF then you could possibly call it a spoiler (but, hey, your posting here so you obviously decided to read the piece). This was a release from ABC and is all over the web! Will probably be the lead entertainment story for the local affiliates tonight. Therefore blame the net for spoiling their own show, not MA…

      • Alan

Rachel, Erin, etc. I don’t understand where you are coming from. Look how many cast changes occurred on shows like “ER” and “Law & Order”. A cast member change is not a spoiler!! What about someone joining the cast? Let’s say Olympia Dukakis is to join the cast of Brothers & Sisters next season…ABC can’t announce that until she makes her surprise entrance? This is absolutely insane. Ask anyone…a spoiler is spoiling the PLOT DETAILS of a show, not reporting the cast member changes. You could find out a million ways that Rob Lowe is leaving. Turn on any show like Entertainment Tonight, etc and they could announce it there….IT IS NOT A SPOILER!!!

    • Angela

Why are you reading a site like this if you don’t want spoilers? Especially Ausiello. Just turn around and walk away. And if a show you love has just aired a big episode you don’t google anything related, in fact you are very cautious about what you click on and look at before you watch it or if will be spoiled.

    • Bethann

I don’t agree that an actor leaving a show is a spoiler. I think the spoiler factors comes in if audiences are told in advance how the actor’s *character* is leaving the show. If Ausiello’s headline had read, “Rob Lowe leaving Brothers & Sisters when his character goes down in a hail of bullets at a political event,” then the part about how Robert was actually being written off is the spoiler. Not that the actor is leaving the show.

      • Beth

        OHHH assassination!!

      • James

Technically its not a spoiler if ABC decides to hire a new actor to replace Rob Lowe and continue the character of Robert. Though rare, its happened before. So announcing a cast change doesn’t necessarily mean that it will have any change on the plot details of the character.

      • Ina

He gets shot at a tea party rally,Later at the hospital his fatal heart attack takes him out with Kitty”s doctor Brother trying to save him!!!

    • Amanda

I agree too! I have a RSS feed on my firefox that drops down and sometimes it totally spoils it TOO soon…like on Amazing race, I was only an hour behind watching it on my DVR and I clicked and found out who went home…grrr!

      • Alan

Announcing who wins or who is evicted on a reality show, yes, THAT is a spoiler. Announcing the plot details of a show, yes, THAT is a spoiler. Announcing a cast member change is not. If EW reports that Betty White is going to guest star on an episode of “House” next season, you consider that to be a Huge Big Secretive Spoiler???? WTF?

  • Sam Gill

Now if they could only get rid of that stammering simpy Calista the show might be entertaining instead of aggravating

    • Alfie

Agree.. I was hoping Kitty died in the last episodes.
Btw, this show’s getting cheesier by day.. i didn’t like that they always talked about something simple & stupid and make it as if it’s a big deal..

      • Jean

I stop watching! Got so tired of the ‘Loving Walker Family’ screaming at each other. Rob Lowe was the only one I did like.

  • Andy

Shocking, Rob Lowe leaving a TV series….isn’t that what he does best??? West Wing fans will agree with that.

    • Trish

      You got that right!

    • Bug

Yes, I see another ‘Lyon’s Den’ appearing in the future.

      • Q

“ABC wants to remain in business with him” – sounds familiar!

    • Jenny

Same old story – he complained he was “underutilized” on West Wing too

      • maxine

Seriously, how much screen time is he expecting? Has he looked at the number of castmates lately? They’re slowly but surely growing to Grey’s Anatomy numbers and for his information: He wasn’t there from the beginning, he joined later on and in my opinion he already has too much screen time which annoys the heck out of me. I actually think that given the number of regulars they managed to keep somewhat of a balance in terms of screen time or number of bigger/longer storylines. What does he want? His character is not a Walker, he just married one and from what I understand, this show is still mainly about the Walker siblings and their mother. Spouses, Girlfriends etc. are secondary, to put it harshly.
And you know, I don’t hear the actor who plays Scotty complaining and he’s mostly only on screen if Kevin is nearby. Robert at least has things going on that don’t directly involve Kitty.

      • Leslie

Exactly what I was thinking. Rob Lowe has an awfully high opinion of himself.

      • Wev

I’m always amazed at actors leaving perfectly good gigs. But to his credit, Lowe always seems to find something. Considering his reactions in the past, maybe he should find a little show with two or three characters. He joins these big, sprawling, ensemble shows and then quits because he has to wait in line.
Anyhoo, I thought Robert was going to bite the big one last year. And since his salvation the character has blown hot and cold. Maybe it is time to go.

    • Michelle

I was surprised that he lasted this long on B&S because of his past history. But I’m also very disappointed to what this will do to Kitty’s character. I liked Kitty and Robert together.

    • kevin

He is like the male Shannen Doherty! This guy doesn’t deserve to be on any more shows! Brothers and Sisters is a meldramatic mess anyways, I’m sure they will have him die so the rest of the cast can handle it by chewing scenery and martyring themselves into oblivion…

      • Sue

I think he’s genetically predisposed to leaving great shows…

      • Kenneth

That is so funny! Great comment!

      • Kenneth

Yes, very funny. Great comment! They do love to chew the scenery on that show, but they do it so well.
I love when Sally Field goes nuts and cries and is mad at the same time. Now if only they would put her in her Flying Nun costume again. Maybe she could find religion and start flying around!

    • mark

and being underutilized..please…it is huge cast. Every plot pont is not going to involve one person. I liked his character and I love the show. But stop whining. Lowe had way more time than Justin or Kevin at the end of the last season.

      • SRD

Let’s talk about being underutilized…. uncle Saul is barely featured. It’s an ensemble cast and the story lines ebb and flow. Deal with it.

    • Colleen

Why does Rob Lowe feel compelled to commit career suicide every time he gets onto a great show? Didn’t he feel ‘under-utilized’ on The West Wing? He needs to face the facts…he is best in ensemble shows.

      • Jen

Yeah, didn’t he learn his lesson leaving the West Wing? If he wants to headline a show, maybe he shouldn’t keep agreeing to parts in ensemble shows. His character is the most boring on the show anyway.

    • LB

I agree! I can’t believe he is doing this again! He changed the West Wing forever because of reasons just like this, and now he is changing this great show! I used to really like him. I can’t believe he is doing this again…

      • Leslie

I was a little disappointed when he left The West Wing, but I really like Joshua Malina’s character, and he wasn’t nearly so arrogant. Sam Seaborn was, too. Must have written that in for Mr. Lowe.

    • Shane

Honestly, I love Rob but what part of ensemble cast does this guy not get? It means, you work with a bunch of people and all of you shine. Its not about screen time for yourself.
I like Rob but I was always so mad at him for leaving the West Wing and the extras on the DVD are sooo funny- whenever he comes on screen the narrators go “who’s that?” LOL. Seriously though, I gave up on B&S in season two when I realized I had seen this show every single year under another name. Booooooooooooooring…..angsty kids, overbearing matriarch…ooh, some life and death drama, people
“dealing with life issues”. Man, the lack of orginality is staggering.

  • Craig

Doesn’t he do this on every show? Also he’s underutilized because his character has kinda run it’s course, just like Ryan who probably never should have shown up in the first place. Holly is the next on that list now that she’s all but settled with David, even though I like her.

  • Alex

Oh great, first Tommy and now Robert. This show is sinking further and further into oblivion.

The saddest part is Rob Lowe’s exit paves the way for even more stupid scenes with St. Squinty (Scotty) or one of Ken Olin’s relatives. My eyes!!!! My eyes!!!!

    FAIL.

    • Mack

Tommy’s exit was WELCOME though….I don’t know a soul that watches this show that actually liked his character.

      • maxine

You can say that again. There was not one thing I liked about Tommy and having him return for an episode every few months just reminded me of that again. Yuck, so glad to see him gone!

Oh and I actually love Scotty! I just wish he could get a storyline that does not somehow directly involve Kevin. Not because I don’t love them together, because I do, but because I SOMETIMES feel like that makes him rather one dimensional and his character could be bigger, there’s still room especially now that the political failure is leaving.

      • Kai

        Well this soul did.
At least Getty was a pleasure to watch all the time. Even when he was being an arse. I for one miss him, and when he came back this season I actually was excited for that episode. The only thing keeping me on this show now that Tommy and Robert are gone is, Rebecca and Justin. :)

      • Wev

I’m with Maxine. I don’t ever need to see Tommy again, and I’d love to see more Scotty. I love his relationship with Kevin, and I’d like to know him better.

  • Glo

I would so watch Rob Lowe in his own series…more Rob, please. In fact I would rather see Rob Lowe in his own series.

    • Steph

I think Rob Lowe should have a small part on every TV series. I would watch as many as I could on the chance that I would be able to look at him, even for a brief moment!

    • Kai

So if he has his own show, how long do you think it will take him to say he’s not being utilized enough and want out of his contract?

Don’t get me wrong, I love Rob Lowe and all the characters he’s played but a show can’t be based around one person.

  • marc

    divorce

    • Alan

I disagree. I think he should die. I mean, he’s going to divorce a woman dying of cancer? Right after they just made up? Right after he gave his support to her run for congress? Less than a year after they adopting a baby together? No, given his health history, I think death would be a more realistic and final way to get rid of him.

      • castiella

I agree. Kill him off so he can’t come back once his next solo show fails. Rob Lowe should have learned this lesson already.

      • maxine

        LOL!!!!
Don’t get me wrong, I completely agree with you (even though Kitty’s no longer dying, but in remission), but have you re-read your own post? 1st two sentences just cracked me up: “I disagree. I think he should die.” Wow, I just got chills, because it read just so deadpan and ice cold. Loved it!

  • CK

The show is called “Brothers and Sisters” not “Spouses of Brothers and Sisters”. When he signed on, did he not expect to be a supporting (aka “underutilized”) character? He will be missed though…

    • Erin

Well we’re exposed to a heck of a lot of Rebecca and she isn’t a sibling. Not anymore anyway. I wish they did give the annoying partners (bar Scotty) less screentime.

  • Eli

Heh. He always leaves shows, ala David Caruso. Although this time I can’t blame him for jumping off a sinking ship, since B&S has gotten pretty sucky as of the last couple seasons.

  • Donna

Once again, Rob cannot understand what it means to be part of an ensemble. You’re not always going to get the A-plot line each and every week. And hasn’t ABC learned from the other networks that Rob is not leading man material? His other two shows flopped badly. He’s more of a supporting actor, but apparently, he cannot admit that to himself.

    • Julie

I agree Donna! Isn’t this what happened with the West Wing? Rob’s a good looking guy and has name recognition, but I don’t really find he has the charisma to carry his own show.

    • gigi

Thank you Donna!! While reading the article, I was thinking the exact same thing. Hopefully his exit will be open ended for a possible return.

      • Dominic

Yep, agree thirdly here – I hope they kill him off – funerals make for good family drama and B&S thrives on that sort of stuff.

  • Sam

This feels like deja vu… Rob Lowe leaves a good gig because he doesn’t feel like he’s getting enough screen time and the network gives him his own show…which is likely to fail. So familiar…

  • t.t

they should kill him off cause that keeps the idea of kitty and his romance true and what not better than a divorce

  • Julie

I don’t really care how he leaves the show, but I’m excited he’s leaving, even with his newly found devotion to his wife. I like Rob Lowe, but his character was kinda boring. Can we bring back the hot widower from the park? I loved him, and he had way more chemistry with Calista than Rob does…

    • Alyssa

I agree with you 100% Julie. That guy’s name was Alec and I personally thought that his short-lived storyline with Kitty was amazing. He was hot and he seemed so passionate plus he was there for her when Robert was being a complete ass during his campaign.

While snooping in the attic, Justin discovers an old black & white photo of family patriarch William Walker and yet another mysterious child. Sara hires a private detective to investigate, but she sleeps with him and eventually runs him off with her overbearing personality. Meanwhile, Kevin figures out that William had another affair and is actually Robert’s biological father. On a hilarious conference call with all the Walker siblings, Kevin lets this info slip, Kitty learns the news that she married her half brother and vomits into her hands. But still vows to run for political office. Nora, upon hearing the news, freaks out, murders Robert with a soup ladle, and serves his remains at yet another awkward Walker family dinner party. Holly sits in a corner stroking her hair.

    • Julie

TOO FUNNY! I love the references to the hilarious conference call and awkward Walker family dinner…right on.

    • HA!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! It should absolutely be done this way especially the part of Nora killing him with a ladel!

    • Linda

You are very creative! I like this!

    • Ed

I love the touch of Holly in the corner stroking her hair. Nice.

      • Diogo

More space for Holly!!! I love her, and I hate Robert – so happy he’s leaving! =)

    • maxine

Love it! Love the soup ladle, love serving him for dinner (even though I think he’d be really dry), you should pitch that to the writers. Would make for good TV and even better ratings. ;) )

      • Guac

Thank God he’s leaving. What a terrible actor and boring character. Every time the storyline focused on Senator and Kitty it came to a screeching halt for me. Both of them are terrible actors and not interesting characters. Now if we can only get rid of Kitty and give that time to the other characters. I will admit that overall this season has been rather ho-hum for me; not much of interest anywhere. Hope it picks up soon. Just my opinion.

Dang, Crispy, you are VERY funny. Have you ever thought of writing for Saturday Night Live? (seriously) They could surely use your quick wit there! Your scenario above is funnier than 90% of the skits this season.

    • petwa

crispy – obviously a Shakespeare fan with the Nora cooking Robert scenario. It would be fascinating to see Rob headline his own show again – in the same morbid way that passing by a highway accident is fascinating… perhaps he could jump to NBC late night. There’s a network crying out for his kind of talent.

    • Anita

If Crispy were a writer for BS, I’d still be watching. I check in to read the recaps every now and then to justify my decision.
