It's true: Rob Lowe to exit 'Brothers & Sisters'

I see another heart attack in Senator McCallister’s future. Rob Lowe is departing Brothers & Sisters later this season, the actor’s spokesperson confirms. Read the full post.

This is the same thing he did on West Wing. He “felt under-utilized” and quit. I like Rob Lowe, but he is clearly an ego-maniac.

  • Sharlin

I would prefer if his character dies. a divorce doesn’t seem likely.

  • Kai

I hate that he is leaving! He is not boring. He and Kitty are the rocks in the family…I love them together. Sad to hear this!!!

apparently, ever since the balthazar getty drama, there’s been a lot of tension on that set, not just with the actors, but the crew as well. maybe he’s just trying to leave a bad work environment before they totally jump the shark…i bet he’ll be mentioned, but not seen. he’ll be traveling or at his kids’ soccer games or whatever ever walker dinner…

I think it’s best that he dies, i don’t think that after everything they have been through that they should get a divorce. but probably he can just go away like tommy did. How is rob lowe under utilized — i think all of the many characters are used pretty equally well.

There goes 50% of the looks on that show. What a loss!

  • Stacey

Seems like he can’t be a supporting player? He did this same thing with West Wing and WW was way more acclaimed. Maybe he should realize that sometime the better parts are the supporting ones. He seems to have a ego.

Hey Rob….guess what dude? You weren’t the star of the show. Me thinks Mr Lowe has an over-inflated opinion of his acting abilities.

  • Sarah

Oh, that’s a shame. I love Rob Lowe in this show. He’s a good antidote to the sometimes overbearing Walker siblings.

They could do a spin-off, like Private Practice. Don’t know exactly what it would entail, but….

  • Sam

I would actually rather see him die then him and Kitty divorce. I would rather not see him go at all but.

  • Thad

    Take Kitty with you!!!

  • Lynn

Wow… I never thought for once the Senator was underutilized.

Well that really sucks. Kitty can never catch a break now. Sheesh.

  • rach

nooooooo im soo sad he is leaving but if he has to go then death is the way divorce is just too soon and unrealistic but still noooo :(

  • Mickey

Kill him off. Won’t miss him.
