Im not entirely surprised he’s left. While AJC is a fine young actor, the show felt rather crowded, and his character wasn’t really set up, let alone developed, beyond the “noob who’s nervous” stage. Considering the show is supposed to be a bout an elite squad that does lots of undercover work, he didn’t really fit as a field agent, as he was too inexperienced. Ah well, they’ll use it to set up some sort of ongoing plot , which I hope plays out well.
I’ve taken a liking to NCIS:LA. Obviously not a “great” show, but an entertaining one. As for Dom, I don’t think I will miss him so much. AJC seems like a nice guy, but the way the character was writen, you never got attached to Dom very much. Dom was the weakest character on the show. My guess is Dom ist still a live- for now- and we will see him again- at least in one episode.
actors/characters they are really are disposable and are easily replaced….wishing the actor a steady paycheque soon.
It’s sad to see the character gone. However I agree with some of the previous posts, “Dom’s” character wasn’t developed enough and there isnt much insight into the role. Obviously right now the ‘main’ cast is Heddy, G and Sam…but I really enjoyed the scenes with Dom.I hope that his character is back.
I suspected this was coming, given how little character development Dom had received to this point.
Still, I expected him to be dead, and thought the empty van was a nice twist. I suspect he is alive, and will return to the show before too long, but that is purely what my gut says.
My gut also says “I want pie,” so you can take that for what it’s worth!
Yeah, not buying the director reasoning in getting rid of this character. He tries to clean it up by saying we won’t see the last of him BUT we all Adam Jamal Craig was fired! Why, I don’t know but don’t lie to the audience! I hate to see a person lose a steady job! Don’t blame the actor, blame the writers for giving him nothing to work with!
I think that Dom’s character had so much potential, but not enough time was spent on him. McGee was once the new guy and it took a while for some people to start liking him on the original show, so I don’t think it is fair to not give Dom the same chance.
I was heartbroken at the end when the van was empty and when Kensi was washing the dishes. I really hope Dom’s character comes back!
i hope dom is MIA temporarily..i really liked him and hope an episode in the future will find him
It’s sad to see the possibility of one of the original NCIS: LA characters being removed from the show before being given the opportunity to settle into the part. The writers should have given Adam some more challenging material. Instead, they chose to make his role rather passive and wimpy.
The abduction of Dom could have provided an opportunity to ‘beef him up’ in an upcoming part 2 or part 3 of this story, …Use the abduction to give Dom an attitude, a temper, some emotional scars and baggage that would enhance the human aspect of his character. If you look back at the original NCIS, each character has their own unique personality flaws. We all know these flaws help draw the viewer into the character. Flat boring characters are the result of bad or lazy writing.
My biggest concerns about the ‘LA’ flavored NCIS is the writing, resulting in flat unemotional lines. During a serious scene from last night’s ‘Missing’ episode, I recall LL Cool J saying “I hate hospitals” during a serious and stressful moment. (Come on writers, what were you thinking?) …During that scene I had a quick mental flashback to the original NCIS. Take the most dramatic, emotional scene from last night’s ‘LA’ episode and compare it with just one emotional, angry slap of the desk by Gibbs (NCIS) during an interrogation. — NCIS: Los Angeles is missing something and I hope they can find it soon…

I think it’s ridiculous to suggest there are no “main” characters on the show. I would say Chris and LL at the very least are the main characters. As far as Dom, I think he was one cast member too many and they couldn’t decide what to do with the character to make him more relevant.
i loved the episode and the impact it had they should create more multi episode story arcs like these with mysteries going for a couple of eps makes for more loyal fans
i loved kensie’s character in this episode (as i do in every episode)
I knew he was going to be written off because there are NEVER been a action show like this with more than one black man. Since you have LL Cool J (A list star) will not be killed, white america does not care to see 2 black guys on the show. Especially 2 black (positive, non thuggy characters).
get over yourself
Grow up nerd
I agree. When I first started watching this show and noticed “2″ black men on one show, I knew he was going to be removed at some point. It is a shame. Primetime TV is already saturated with white male actors, it would be nice to have some diversity. Oh well, there is always the CW
get over yourself as well
whatever
The character was useless and did nothing…..I haven’t missed him for weeks even tho last night “done him in”. He’s better off getting another gig.
I think it is too soon to lose a character & have it be a “shock”. We have to be more invested in them than this, really in the whole show than 5 months. Next season would be more of an impact. We need time to care, like with the original series. Too soon, in my opinion.
