The article says that one half of the couple is a series regular, no use of the word “only.” Which means our emotions could be being played with and the other half could very well also be a series regular. Just saying. My vote, though, is Hilda and Bobby – that was my first thought.
He didn’t say ONLY half the couple was a series regular, so I took it to mean that AT LEAST half of the couple is. Still, Hilda and Bobby is a safe bet.

okay so make it someone like Hilda and Bobby. have daniel make some comment about how Betty looks really beautiful in a casual almost throw away moment. and then at the very end of the ep when the bouquet is tossed, Betty catches it while Daniel is smiling nearby (as if he’s happy she caught it). and we leave with a strong hint that they could happen in the time after that we won’t see play out.

You should start watching now! I stopped in season 3, started again in this season and it’s better/funnier than ever, which makes the cancellation amazingly ironic.

It’s going to be Betty and Daniel. That’s how every previous incarnation of the show ended, and I don’t see any reason why this should be any exception.

Why is that gross? Because Betty is not a perfect 10? How shallow are you?
It is gross because the nature of their relationship is entirely sibling related. I love them as best friends/big brother/little sister. That is the crux of the show for me. No romantic tension between them has been my favorite part.
For me, I liked Matt a lot. I loved Gio but they did not develop their relationship enough to have them get married. Matt was a good match for her, smart, keeps her on her toes, loves her. He was great.
It’s gross because Daniel is shallow, immature and not in any way good enough for Betty. She needs some smarter, for starters.
Daniel and Betty have been each other’s primary support systems since the show started.
That’s what a good relationship is all about, not sexual sparks or neuroses or forced circumstances like Henry or Gio.
I like Matt. And the relationship between them is in my opinion the perfect to the end of the series

Seriously, people, WTF is this “brother and sister” business about Betty and Daniel? Whether you like the pairing or not, they are NOT siblings, were not raised together and, despite their closeness, do not treat one another the same way they treat their family members. If THAT’s your only argument against the pairing, you don’t have one. I’m pretty convinced everyone who trots it out is wearing a Team Henry or Team Gio jersey.
Who cares anymore? Most people who are Daniel and Betty “shippers” see them as good friends with a sibling type relationship. It’s you Daniel/Betty fans who try to find romance/attraction at any chance, even when none exists. This does not mean, however, that they won’t end up together. Mr. Horta has done many things which don’t make sense. Maybe that’s why it lost viewers and is being cancelled.

Logically it is Hilda and Bobby. At this point anything else would feel forced. Except maybe Willie and Connor.
If the execs of the show have any respect for it (left) they wont pair Betty and Daniel. At least with the little time they have left. To do a Betty and Daniel pairing justice it would take way more time to craft and let evolve then a handful of episodes. That kind of pairing takes seasons. That being said, my guess is Hilda and Bobby.
I believe that Betty La Fea and her boss hook up in the original show so it would be staying true to the original characters.
In La Fea Mas Bella, the Telenovela that Ugly Betty is molded after, Fernando (Daniel) and Letty (Betty) get married in the last episode. Although there are many differences between La Fea Mas Bella and Ugly Betty, it is largely similar and has most of the same characters (as far as employees within Ferndando’s family’s company, Letty’s family is different than Betty’s). Furthermore, all of the 27 incarnations of the show worldwide seem to end with the Betty character marrying the Daniel character. In some of them, the Betty character also takes over the company. It’s been awhile.
I also think it’s possible that Amanda could marry someone like Matt since their characters resemble Alicia Ferrier (De Mora) and Tomas Mora.
I would be HIGHLY disappointed if Daniel and Betty didn’t get together.
