Marc Cherry is singlehandedly ruining the show he created. This has been the worst and most boring year of DH I have ever seen. Last year had such potential but then ended with a LAUGH of a boring anticlimatic cliffhanger and this year is terrible. I stopped watching after the episode “What If.” What a waste that was. Last year they ruined Orson’s character right before killing Edie off. This year they gave Orson ZERO screentime while focusing on Bree’s affair with Karl, which actually improved Bree’s character and made her interesting again only to kill off Karl so she can stay with wheelchair suicidal Orson?

    Katherine’s character = ruined.
    Julie’s character = ruined.
Lynette’s pregnancy storyline was boring to start with. The only family that is even interesting this season is Gabby’s and even she and Carlos were very out-of-character in how they treated Lynette before the plane crash. COME ON. After everything they would not have done that to each other.

This has been the first year I actually stopped watching out of frustration. Now finding out that the last 5 episodes of the show are going to be some sort of long drug-out conclusion to Angie’s storyline is such a disappointment. We all know how they do this by now. We will see 5 minutes of John Barrowman’s character in 1 episode, 10 minutes in the next, so on and so one until the finale. I will be watching the season finale, but I could care less about the buildup to it. There just isn’t a story there this year. I don’t see how the show can make it to 9 seasons at this rate.

Hurray !!! love DH and could stand some new blood .

I don’t know JB at all, but am a fan of DH so will get to see what the fuss is about. Maybe he will make the Angie plot more palatable.

    • kris

all the fuss is how he looks, acts, sounds, etc… he’s a very talented, all round entertainer. and I love him for that. Welcome John!

    • Tari Li

Kris is right. He’s an all around amazing (and sexy) guy. But some of the fuss has to do with the character he played in his trademark show Torchwood on BBC. If you’re even slightly into scifi I suggest you check it out. His Captain Jack will sweep you off your feet. That character gave many women (and gay men) some pleasant wet dreams.

  • SHARRON

Terrific idea! He is going to be a great addition to the show-love Captain Jack!!! Makes even little Old Ladies hearts go pitter-pat!

  • Jennifer

Captain Jack and Angie?! Marc Cherry you are my hero! I miss the hell out of Torchwood and this will help make up for it. Maybe the show can squeeze in a possible love triangle with Lee and Bob too.

  • Barry Reinitz

I’m thrilled he will be on my tv again. Loved Torchwood and miss it along with the original british Life on Mars.

  • whogal

Finally, the Angie storyline gets interesting! Can’t wait to see what his character does. Hope this means we get to see a lot more of JB on American TV.

  • kirsty

captain jack harkness is coming onto wisteria lane!!! yayyy!! :]:} big fan of torchwood 2. cant wait 4 d nxt season of torchwood.

No politician; no preacher; no professor; and no other performer speaks the American language as beautifully as does John Scot Barrowman–and that’s from a native “southerner”! He deserves all the attention that this country can bestow on him and all the monetary reward that that implies! Like millions of others of his devoted fans, I would tune in just to watch him sleep!

  • Carol

Oh, please don’t leave us John, but I just adore everything that you do. Your energy is infectious, your smile, your eyes WOW!See you in Glasgow. Can you not do “Mac and Mabel” next?

  • Gayle Greeson

John Barrowman could be on any show and I would watch. He is so excited to do this show as per the intervies on the Johnathan Ross show. Can it be true that he is so Georgeous, talented and nice. Love him.

  • kris

I for one, am glad to see John on a show in the States. I don’t normally watch this show but am looking forward to John’s appearance.

  • fantasylover42

I LOVE JB and i’m thrilled that this is a chance for him to get more USA supporters. and maybe then he’ll even tour here for once!
i don’t watch DH, but i think i’ll have to find a way to watch those 5 episodes.

  • mambear

I am SO SAD! Capt. Jack is too good for this! I wish John Barrowman all the best, but I hope he goes leavs this smarmy soap soon!!!

I giggled reading the comments. So many like me dropped the show early this season and are now coming back kicking and screaming because of JB. I even went through the pain of watching two previous episodes to have an idea about what’s going on before John showed up. Damn but that was a brilliant move by Cherry. I also giggled at him being a big Torchwood fan. So was the guy who produced the new Knight Rider series. He made one of the characters dress up as Captain Jack for a Halloween episode.

Speaking of Captain Jack, I’m in the same boat as any other TW fan. Anything to see him again. I’d pass out if John’s character shows up in a black SUV with a big watch strapped on his wrist. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed that the Torchwood deal falls through. I’m in withrawal and badly need my Captain Jack plus his boyfriend/girlfriend/alienfriend fix.
