It’d be nice if they gave Louise Lombard the job, they shouldn’t have cut her from NCIS: LA.
Hear, hear. The only reason I was considering watching NCIS: LA was for Louise (loved her on CSI), but then they axed her.
Now I watch NCIS, change the channel when it’s over and then come back for the Good Wife, cause NCIS: LA sucks!
I completely agree with everything you said above. I like LL Cool J, I like Chris O’Donnell, their characters, and I LOVE the char. of Kenzie and the actress who plays her (reminds me of Angie Harmon for some reason) but I initially got turned onto the series because of Louise’s guest appearance on NCIS. Very intriguing character. I can’t watch LA now. It doesn’t have the same…chemistry? as NCIS.
That works for me.
I don’t know who would play her but the ex-marine part sounds like they are trying to make another love interest for Gibbs…I’m not sure how that will work out

An oh so sad, but true rule. (I wish Tony and Ziva would egnore it.)
I don’t think it’s a love interest for Gibbs, looks like that is going to be Rena Sofer based on last night’s episode. I think it would be great for this character to butt heads with Ziva.
I hate Rene Sofer’s character on NCIS. I am not happy about the end of last night’s show.

Gibb’s women have been shown from a distant view leaving in high dollar cars. I think it should get more involved, a lawyer don’t know about that. Is Tony & Ziva just going to smolter for ever? I think we need to pour some high octane fuel on both of them and let the flame roar.

I’d buy that. Plus she was on ALIAS, so extra points for that. I’d love to see Jennifer Garner for the role but I’m guessing that would never happen…probably too Sydney Bristow-ish anyway.

It can not be Amy Carlson, as she has already guest stared on NCIS. She was the research person in the Corporal Punishment episode 2 years ago. It would be ackward if they brought her back as someone else.
While particular characters can’t be recast with different actors in prime time, the same actor can play more than one character on the same show or different shows set in the same “universe” (ie: across more than one show in the same franchise.).

Milena Govitch playing lead, but different, characters on Law & Order and its spin-off Conviction. And Julianne Nicholson on Conviction and L&O:CI. And it’s done with guest characters on various franchises all the time.

Um, yeah. I’m pretty sure you’re the only one that would bother. I’ve seen all of the NCIS episodes more times than I can count (thanks, USA Network), and I doubt I’d go, “Huh, didn’t she guest star on an episode 2 years ago?”
Alicia Coppola for sure…but she was on JAG as a Navy Cmdr. Not sure if that would work, but she and Gibbs had some awesome chemistry!
Alicia Coppola has already been established on the show. She was LtCdr Faith Coleman – JAG officer. She appeared as the character on episodes of ‘NCIS’: ‘UnSealed, ‘Hometown Hero’ and ‘Call of Silence’.
That I would remember and would be awkward. Amy Carlson…I have no idea the episode you’re referring to nor the character so that wouldn’t be an issue for me.
I think Diane Neal (former ADA Casey Novak from SVU) would be awesome!
I really like her as well (poor Casey, though I do Love Alex) but think she’s a little too delicate(?) looking to be believable as a Marine, though she does have the stunning part down.
Another thought–Sarah Clarke would be perfect!
She’s gorgeous and can play a tough cookie (“Nina Myers” from 24).
Diane Neal (former ADA from SVU) would be awesome,Melora Hardin(the office)has the acting ability & looks. They all fit the casting description, perfect typecasting though. All the “dramas” have the same type of person (the mentalist,csi’s,numbers,etc…)
Both choices would be great. Melora Hardin played Trudie Monk, so she can hold herself in a dramatic role as well as she can in a comedic one.
Melora Hardin has been on NCIS before; season 1, episode 5.

Sarah Shahi is in a pilot for one of the cable channels so she might not be available; but great choice. Alicia Coppola appeared as a JAG officer in early, early eppys of NCIS and Amy Carlson was in an eppy of the series once a couple seasons ago. How about a new face: Miracle Laurie from Dollhouse she’s stunning, tall and could pull the job off.
DEFINITELY Alicia Coppola! I loved, Loved, LOVED her on Jericho and would ADORE seeing her on NCIS…especially if she ended up facing off with Ziva!

Just so you, Alicia Coppola has ALREADY appeared 3 times as Lt Cmdr Faith Coleman in season 2 of NCIS, so it would be weird if she return and plays someone else.
She was already on NCIS once before. Her character was in the Navy. Can’t come back as a Marine.

Amazing they feel the need to add ‘stunning’ – isn’t that hollywood? Isn’t that just the default? All they had to do is add “normal looking” every ten years when they actually need someone looking like that
