After watching Cuddy be completely unable to be the real boss of House, which she is, I began to lose respect for her. She continually allows him to disgrace, diminish, demoralize her and never stands up to him. And frankly, there is NO female hospital administrator that dresses the way they have Cuddy dress. She is just a foil, and needs to develop some cojones and become a true female power house, and not this masochistic idiot that she’s devolved into.

    • Nevin

I love that you want her to develop some “cojones” and yet want her to be “a female powerhouse”.

I’m pretty sure she’s already a female powerhouse and doesn’t need man’s testicles to prove it.

This clip was very riveting to watch and when I saw it potesd here on our blog. I was very excited because my friend told me about how this clip was showed in one of his BBH classes so I was compelled to watch it. I find the discrimination against the Muslim woman in the hijab disgusting. It s amusing to me that this case study was set up in Texas because I am from Austin, Texas and within our Muslim community I have heard several scenarios of racism and discriminatory treatment towards women who wear hijab. These cases of discrimination have shot up and become much more frequent ever since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. They have become more frequent because people view Muslims as the enemy, regardless if they are American Muslims or Muslims. The clip takes me back to conversations that we have had in our class. We talked about who is an American. Several American Muslims in the class stated that they do not feel like they are Americans even though they were born here. They are treated differently because of their ethnic features. The woman in this video clip stated that even though she was born here people look at her and say that she is not an American. Why does someone s religion prevent them from calling themselves American? What will it take for us to be accepted? This racism and hatred towards Muslims and Muslim Americans is a dark road that certain individuals in our society have started to go down. This road leads to no where positive and I applaud the individuals in the clip who stood up for the woman because to me, that is what a true American is.

I’m sorry, but I can’t agree with the not standing up to House thing at all.

She’s one of the only characters on that show that can do so. She doesn’t win, no. But she does stand up to him. Multiple times. A day.

      • suki

She allows him to make overtly sexual comments about her in most every episode and he continues to undermine her authority with no consequence. Now, tell us how she’s standing up to him again?

  • Fernanda

Maybe I’m biased, but damn!, this is a hella good teaser.

  • Irene

Lisa, this is GREAT! Awesome!! Oh God I need to watch this episode!

  • Ellie

Thanks Ausiello! Now I know to skip House this week. An all-Cuddy episode? That’s about as exciting as watching paint dry.

    • Courtney

Maybe you and I can go watch paint dry Monday night at 8 then. You bring the beach chairs, I’ll bring popsicles.

    • Jelly

      lol :)
i’ll try to give it a chance.

  • Sarah

Ausiello, you are THE MAN. Cannot wait for this amazing ep. Lisa E is FABULOUS! <3

Awww… gotta love Lucas, he does his best, and most important, keeps her happy in ways that House would not. House would have to change too much to be Lucas, and nobody wants that.

I was thinking aobut not watching it, since Im Hilson fan and all, but I like her as a person, career woman, mother and girlfriend to Lucas, so I’ll give it a shot.

  • just call me dad

hahaha crying baby…aint that a bltch
