Seeing Dave didn’t bug me. Seeing Oprah made me roll my eyes. Seeing Jay? I shook my head. Who would’ve thought Letterman would be the most likeable, least overplayed, person in the ad?
The most memorable ad of the evening BY FAR! Kudos to all three for putting egos aside for the funny.
Classy, Dave, classy. Good on ya! I’ll have to say that Jay’s humor is more to my taste, but that commercial was a very classy idea.
Funny, but makes Letterman look as corporate as Leno and that’s too bad. Casino bookings are next…
It’s going be fun watching Jay kick Letterman’s sorry butt. Again.

Personal tastes aside, I have always blamed NBC. Whether you prefer Leno or Conan, they are just the puppets on strings. I was proud to see Conan’s refusal to be manipulated by another bad decision on this networks part. This is a network that still uses the Neilsen Rating system, which is about as outdated as LP’s. A lot of people in Conan’s demographic watch TV online, and do not participate in the program. Only about 25,000 people are in the Neilsen rating program, out of the 114.9 million television households in the united states. That’s less than one percent of the population telling the executives what the other 99% are watching. I think it’s time to find a new ratings system, and have the Nielsen go the way of old Yeller.
