You’ve got to be kidding me. Burrell is a cheap version of Carell, and a very, very bad one too. The guy’s just BORING. And Modern Family is one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen in my life.

I agree- hilarious show. I don’t get to watch often enough to know the character names, but in an older episode when the sister and gay brother were practicing their ice skating routine in the parking lot, I almost choked on my dinner. Probably one of the funniest/oddest moments in TV of the last few years.

i’ve never written on a board about smallville. i have nothing personal against erica durance. i’m not going to talk about her acting even. but i agree that smallville’s version of lois isn’t very likeable and it’s hard to root for her and clark. chemistry b/w characters just doesn’t seem right. and no. i don’t think he should be with chloe. there’s nothing wrong with making a thought out critique of show you watch. it’s people that just say things like “youre a hater” or make stupid statements just to see themselves on the net that bug me. @well…the main problem is you have the same 5-6 Chloe fans go around from board to board and spew the same crap. Basically they give there twisted version how how they veiw Lois’ character and try pass it off as if it was fact(let’s be honest here you can do negative character studies for every character on the show if you cherry picking all the negative points, even there belovid Chloe). They then will make a derogitory comment towards the actress playing Lois on a personal level(which I think probably the worst offense more then anything and shows the maturity level of those select fans), then usually follow it up with how they hate the show and don’t watch anymore(to which I ask don’t they have anything then better to do with there time then come to places like this just to whine with the same repetative comments)
@well….it should also be pointed out that most of the ones who are bitter seem to be bitter because they invested there time in a theory that never was going to happen(no matter how much they tell themselves the show was setting it up) and blame Erica/Lois for it not happening. As others on this message board pointed out it’s cool to not like the show, the direction the show is taking this year and/or certain characters, but at least be mature about it. Said to be the best ever of Smallville? Please. The only reason anyone is saying that is because the only ones left watching are the “don’t care if it’s crap” “OMG Clois sex!” shipper set. Smallville’s audience expressed what it thinks of this dreck loud and clear when close to two million never turned it back on this year.
Bkwurm, the show moved to Friday nights. The show is doing remarkably well for being on Friday evenings in it’s 9th season. Second, yes, many people feel this has been the most solid season in years. Try googling some reviews for the 9th season. Several different entertainment websites have spokenly openly this year about the improved quality of the show. They include TV sites, comic book sites and fan sites. So it’s not just Clark and Lois fans who are saying this…it’s a large cross section of people who have objectively viewed the show and felt it was strong this year. Even Damien Halbrook, from Tvguide, (a huge self-confessed Chloe fan) has spoken openly about how strong this season is on podcasts. Honestly, you people do nothing but twist the facts and you convienantly leave OUT the facts that hurt your case. It just pisses you off that the show is being well received this year because you didn’t get what you want. You all wanted the show to move to Friday nights and fail and it didn’t. It’s holding it’s own on a crappy night in it’s 9th season and people are enjoying it.

Actually, he got hired because Julian Luthor (Grant, whatever) liked her pitch much more better than Chloe’s and they started a relationship in successive episode.
Regardless, he died a few episodes later and she remained at the planet with Lex f’n Luthor and Tess Mercer in charge of TDP.
I guess you missed the episode where it was made clear that she was hired/considered for the DP before he ever met her for her article on “Combat”. I feel like being jerk-y and bursting out with the one million and one things Chloe’s done wrong. Including y’know actual murder.
True. She worked for another paper before the DP and he’d seen her work. She was going to quit when she suspected that he’d only hired her because he liked her. She got both of her jobs because of an impressive article.

Well, I agree with you Maria. But make sure you remember that the personal attacks don’t come from ALL the Chloe fans. I personally love Allison Mack and I love Chloe I also love Erica and I really love Lois. But I’m a Chloe fan—and I hate this kind of behavior and I despite the people who attack Erica personally. So you’re right—but just remember that it’s not all the Chloe fans. It’s a very small but very vocal and disturbed group. But they do not represent all of us. Many of us don’t agree with what they do either!

If people make the mistake of basing their ENTIRE enjoyment of this show on a minor character who is NOT the star of the show then I imagine they will be in for dissapointment because this show was never meant to be a star vehicle for those other people.
