@bkwurm1 You want to know why the Chloe fans of Smallville get such a bad rap as rabid? Go read any of the pro-Clois posts here and tell me if you see bashing of Allison Mack. The reverse is not true. The Chloe fans that give ALL Chloe fans a bad name have called Erica Duranc such mean, hateful, vulgar things.
You come onto articles about a show you don’t even watch to do it. It’d be hilarious if it wasn’t pathetic. I was on a soap msgboard & the talk turned to fandoms that have negatively influenced how people felt about the character beyond what was shown on the show. And guess who came up? Chloe fans.
On The CW message forums the hardcore Chloe and Lana fans are both equally hateful in their comments about Lois and Erica Durance. The CW execs should be ashamed for letting things get so out of hand in the fandom! Allison Mack and Kristin Kreuk must be horrified that they attract such spiteful supporters.
To be fair, it’s mostly the Lana/Kristin fans that are awful towards Lois/Erica over on the CW forums. They constantly attack the actress’s appearance and character. It’s a never ending string of insults aswell as half truths about the character. Very fabricated. Some Chloe fans pitch in but overall on CW they’re tolerable.
On TWOP, Chloe fans are horrific. Bashing the Erica aswell as the character she plays. Again with a load of half truths. It’s very sad and pathetic. This is why the Chloe fans on Ksite are much more pleasurable to chat to. There is indepth discussion over there and dislike is never transfered to the actress playing them. Although Ksite does dominatly dislike Lana, Kristin is never bashed (niether is Allison) and people have plenty of nice things to say about her if her names comes up. I see it first hand. This is what seperates that place to other online fandoms. People are able to seperate the character from the actress, places like the CW and TWOP can’t and then people wonder why smallville producers read the views of peoples opinions on that site. Well it’s fairly obvious. No exec is going to take seriously the views of those who insult the cast members aswell as the producers. You dig your own hole there.
The truth is AM is not bashed because there is no reason to bash her. She is fabulous and beautiful. We can say that she attracts audience eyes more than anybody else in the show. And lois fans are disgraceful like deux deux rance lol because they spend their time to bash videos chloe on youtube and after they tell this although there are more than 150 comments about videos they are douches. ED is a DISGRACE to smallville and ratings prove it. kk was bashed more than ED and she brings the ratings up so what’s the problem?

The sad thing is that you can’t even have an honest discussion at TWOP. The reputation is true: you will be banned if you challenge anything that is said or if you don’t follow the party line over there. The regular posters can use the F word to their heart’s content and lash out in personal attacks but if you even TRY to have a mature conversation with someone you will find yourself banned. They aren’t even secure enough with their own opinions to allow for honest discussion. It’s become a safe haven for personal attacks and bashing and god help anyone who tries to interject some maturity or rational discussiont here. You’ll be banned within the week.

Yeah Chris, that’s why Allison’s not bashed. Because she’s perfect. You note the sarcasm right? Your Chloe was in hour one of Absolute Justice and the ratings were 2.7 I believe. Lois in hour two of Absolute Justice=3.1 to 3.2. Suck on that lemon.
Maybe just maybe Chloe fans are crazier than the rest? It’s not even a secret. And while there are Lana fans that bash ED, they are the minority. I can’t say that for Chloe fans. At least, not the ones I’ve seen. People love ED, she’s a sweetheart who actually cares about the Superman mythos unlike others. AM just said that Chloe could become the next Dr. Fate. That pretty says everything to me about how she see mythos. And that’s not a bash.

Chris: The reason why Allison Mack is not bashed is because some people know how to behave. I didn’t like her work sometimes, her character has changed and the girl I used to love in seasons 4 and 5 doesn’t exist anymore. However I won’t go to her twitter or website to bash her because I am an educated person.

The bottom line is that there is a CONSTRUCTIVE and mature way to expression an opinion if you disagree with something. Opinions are what make the world go round. I really enjoy Smallville but if someone wants to tell me why they don’t I’m happy to listen to them if we can have a mature conversation. The problem is that when the argument becomes nasty and includes taking personal shots at actors that NONE of you know personally then that’s where I draw the line.
You know, this thread seems to have gotten particuarly heated and in a way, I’m glad for that. It’s time for the true fans of this show to stand together and make it known that we aren’t going to tolerate this kind of abuse anymore. If someone dislikes the show and wants to have a mature discussion about why-AWESOME. Bring it on. If you can’t do that…if you need to resort to twisted facts or personal insults towards the producers, crew and actors then prepare to be met with the exact same discord that you found on this thread. But it seems pretty clear that the majority of fans aren’t going to stand for this anymore. And personally, I think that’s great to see.
I agree, MJ. I think most people are sick and tired of this behavior after years of bashing and nastiness. Chloe fans are not entitled to anything. No one is. Stop making your favorite character look worse and remember that it’s real people that you’re talking about.
While MF is a great show, having Carell on would only draw attention to how much of a Michael Scott ripoff that particular character is.
