    So sorry to hear about Phil, he was one of our favorites on the show. My condolences to his family. He was caring and a fighter. He loved his sons and cared about his crew very much. He always put them first, unlike some other captains who shall remain nameless

    very sad to hear that. Rest in peace, captain.I hope other captains take a lesson from this tragedy. you have to be somewhat responsible for your health. 24/7 smoking , living with a cigarette in mouth all day and night. lets not glorify these bad habits. Nobody ever tried to counsel Phil about this. I really feel that this was long time coming and could have been avoided.

      So because all those people died in Haiti, people shouldn’t grieve the loss of one man? That’s ridiculous. Haiti was a tragedy and many people grieve the losses there as well. Everyone is somebody’s son or daughter. Capt. Phil just happened to be in the public and touched a lot of lives. People will miss him. It has nothing to do with anything more than that.

    Damit..He was such a great man. Only person who was a person of celeb stat, the I have ever wanted to meet. Now I just hope one day to put flowers on his resting place or marker.
