deadliest catch is my favorit program i have seen all the repeats so many times i cant say but i still watch them i am from ireland and a fisherman myself but from land. but i would give anything 2 try that job out if i died doing it at least thats an other thing off my list. doing sumthing i liked. rest in peace phil we all loved u here in ireland and best of luck 2 the rest of the cornelleamaria keep it going boys hope 2 c ye on tv soon all the best buddy.

Captain Phil was cool, but he also smoked 4 packs of cigs a day… plus he had quite a temper, and I doubt his eating habits were any better than his other habits. Just seems stupid that because this guy was on TV he is some kind of hero. If anything he was a ruffian and a poor role model. I can find you a million 4 pack a day smokers who died of the same thing, but they were not on TV and thus no one loves them or misses them except a few that knew them. When will mindless sheep start making real relationships with the good people they ACTUALLY KNOW, instead of identifying with reality TV stars? There are a lot of good people who aren’t on Deadliest Catch living right next to you, but it’s easier to be a hermit, watch you TV and waste your life thinking you have a connection to some dude who never knew you. Wow, our society is in self-destruct mode!

I have all the admiration in the world for the guys, and ladies, on Deadliest Catch. It is one of the most demanding jobs out there. I have watched the show since it started. Phil Harris was one of the main characters and downright hilarious to boot! I have been watching the new season and it is not the same without him. I saw the show where he passed away and it was recorded in a very dignified manner. Rest in peace Mr Harris, and my your family find comfort in the memories they shared with you.
