Excellent news! No Sunday night slot please!…such a headache with the time shifting mess….
We want to be watching Alex O’ for many years to come….

  • ytimynona

Woohoo! Moonlight was amazing, and Three Rivers had only the best intentions at heart (hehe pun intended), but this may just be the one for Alex O! Too bad he’s gonna be playing American again… his REAL accent is SO SEXY!

  • Katrina

I will definitely watch this! Three Rivers just didn’t have plot…

I’m sure he will do great in the role! I want to point out that Moonlight was not a failure, rather the WB didn’t want to front their part of the money and there was some behind the scenes problems. It still has a cult following! Hopefully, if this show is successful, CBS will be smart enough to do a tv movie event of Moonlight. That said, I hope this new show will be good!

AMEN to that and everyone should remember that too.

I am so happy that Alex took this part. All of his work is fantastic, and I am sure that this role will be awesome for him. Rock on, Alex O!!!!!

  • Dana

I will definitely watch this. Great actors and what sounds like a great production staff.

  • guest star

He is toooo young for McGarrett–he would be the side kick Dano role—but they want the stud who cant shoot straigh

    show will last one season

    • Scott

Agree totally. Considering they have a solid actor like Daniel Dae Kim as Chin Kelly, CBS should have selected an older actor with charisma and acting chops for Garrett’s role. Alex is boring as an actor.

  • Lynn

To quote Meg Ryan in Harry Met Sally….. “Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!

i sure hope it doesn’t suck. moonlight was so bungled and three rivers was horrible. i’d prefer a great NEW idea and show with great writers — but maybe this will work out. please.

I’m going to bet that Hawaii Five-O will follow CSI on Thursday’s, which IMO would be the perfect timeslot for it. Daniel Dae Kim, O’Loughlin and the writers of Fringe sounds like a good combo to me. Hopefully the Pilot is good and it gets ordered to series.

Best news ever! Can’t wait for the incredible Alex O’Loughlin to be on my television screen each week on a regular basis. The third time will be the charm IF and only IF CBS gets things right this time! They know very well they messed up big time letting Moonlight go. And, unfortunately Three Rivers was too bland with the heavy hand of Carole Barbee as showrunner. Hawaii Five-O will be a bonafide hit, you’ll see. Go Alex and CBS!

I love Alex and am looking forward to his new role. He needs action not transplanting organs. I loved him in Moonlight. Excellent Move!
    Three times is a Charm.

  • rebecca

I liked the original tv show and Alex O’Loughlin is gorgeous!! Hopefully this show will work for him!

The only reason why I watched the original series was for Jack Lord because he was the first Felix Leiter!!

  • astrumporta

If they cast Michael Shanks as Danno (he says he’s reading for the role), I will be there with bells on!

I think this is great news. I have missed seeing Alex on TV every week. He was wonderful in Moonlight and Three Rivers and is a truly gifted and talented actor. I know he will be great in Hawaii Five O. I am very happy for him and for his many fans who have missed seeing him.
