Major yuck. I’m just about ready to give up on the show, even though I love Hugh Laurie’s portrayal. Edelstein I can do without, and the whole Huddy thing is just sick.

    • Kristin

This kind of bitterness is really sad. Edelstein is the best actess on TV and totally underrated.

      • ada22

u must not watch a lot of shows if you think Edelstein is the best actress on tv. No offence, she’s not horrible and it has nothing to do with my hatred of Huddy but just cause you like her …

      • pffft

She’s not bitter just because she doesn’t like LE. Personally I could do without her annoyingly blatant ability to bring sex into every interview this season. It just doesn’t make her look classy but then I’m sure she’s probably the pusher for House/Cuddy

      • spoilerchicka

Agreed! Lisa Edelstein is the heart of the show. Hugh Laurie is the brain. I only watch because of Cuddy and her spot-on wry, dry wit and snappy comebacks. All time favorite: When House says he knows how to kill a man with just his thumb. Cuddy says without missing a beat, “who doesn’t??!”

      • Rachel

She is in no way the best actress on tv. Her interview skills leave a lot to be desired as well.

      • chitra

Best actress??? you must be kidding. There are plenty of Tv actresses nowadays who are far better that she is. (Tina Fey, Juliana Margulies, Marishka Hargitay, Lauren Graham, Maura Tierney,…etc etc.
And if we start with film actresses: Susan Sarandon, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Emma Thomson….

      • chitra

and I add more: she is totally overrated. She is very lucky to be in a international recognized tv show.

      • Helen

What the hell is with LE bashing?! Just because people don’t like Huddy, doesn’t mean you should disrespect actors/actresses. It’s just rude.

      • Quila

        @Helen

And just because you ship Huddy, doesn’t mean you should glorify her acting skills, especially when they’re mediocre.

      • sumi

Lisa is not the best actress on TV. She is, however, a very good one.

  • Julia

    YAY!
Everybody knew that already but it’s always nice to hear it from the boss’ mouth!

  • Lunzx

    Woaaaaaah!!! <3
    Thx Michael!!

  • Jill

The most abusive, dysfunctional relationship on TV drama today. Not to mention a complete inability to communicate with each other.

How anyone can want to watch them abuse each other is beyond me.

    • ada22

I don’t know, maybe to them it’s not true love unless they harm eachother in ways going from emotional to physical.

Yeah, if I loved a man with a limp then I would definitely not try to increase his pain by playing stupid pranks and making him drive for hours no matter how much he might annoy me sometimes. Also,Cuddy really seemed to want a perfect House, she can’t handle the moody, broken, afraid House, she backs away from that every single time.
Oh and how could a man like House suddenly fall with someone he really hasn’t been in love with for 20+ years? Did Stacy even exist in this parallel universe?
      Ok,never mind.

    • djiseus

Just watch last ep and I think you’ll change your opinion.

  • phil

are we calling her Huddy for any particular reason? Does Shore call her that, or were you listening so closely for a “maybe” that you couldn’t hear her name in any of those three listenings?

    • Ray

      it’s a portmanteau.

    • Lala

House + Cuddy = Huddy. It rolls off the tongue better than “Couse”.

  • Dawn Hewitt

I love both of the characters, but I do not like them as a couple.

Maybe the writers will win me over because the writers are awesome. but, this does not make happy. That Cuddy would wind up with someone who makes her life so much more stressful makes it hard for me to continue to like her.

  • Gillian

This could be very very interesting! (if done correctly)
Lets bring it on. Even if it crashes and burns.. well.. at least they tried !
    I’m looking forward to it!

  • Rachel

I am officially no longer watching this show.

    • Liz

      Bye!

      • Rachel

        Pointless reply is pointless.

  • Greenbaybarb

They should learn a lesson from many shows in the past, if they get together, it ruins the show, interest is lost, the ratings go down. There is a lot to be said for anticipation and imagination!

  • ada22

Shore is making a big mistake thinking that most fans are Huddies because most fans are not Huddy at all,we just don’t spend our lives obsessing about a ship online.
I wish this Huddy never happened,I wish no ship ever happened on this show, not like this anyway.
Two wonderful characters ruined together with the show!
Whatever, you can have your cake and eat it too!

    • Helen

er…not all huddies obsess about a ship online.

    • Quila

And it turns out that the cake is expired and you get rabid food poisoning.

      That’s how I see Huddy.

  • Sandy

All I can say is it is about time. I’ve been ticked off since last year’s finale when it was all a hallucination. House and Cuddy are connected. It only makes sense that they would take it to a new level.

  • DrD

This is the BEST NEWS I’ve heard all day and all season! House and Cuddy are too incredibly smart, sexy, complicated and funny people. They compliment each other so well. The chemistry and acting between Hugh and Lisa is hard not to ignore. This truly is the best couple in primetime TV right now and has the incredible potential to be the most successful, interesting relationship in television history! I’m happy to wait but even happier to know that you’re going to make this happen. Thank you Mr. Shore and thank Ausiello for such amazing news! I LOVE this pair!

    • Eve

      Well said !

    • Fayola

      I agree with you!!

  • Ray

Cool. If it’s done right. I don’t know if I want them together but I’m not going to shriek bloody murder. I’m aprehensive because of season five played out (kinda lame) but they’re scenes together where some of my favorites in the first three seasons. I always looked forward to how she would react to him and vice versa. So I won’t say I’m excited but I’m definitely curious and I do have a little faith that this could be a good thing.

    • Helen

      Well said.

  • Heather

Very good to hear even if it is a bit skimpy on the details…thanks Michael.

  • Melissa Q
