‘Tis the season to start feeling anxious about the fate of your favorite programs. Over the next several months, the broadcast networks will be deciding which “bubble” shows will be back next season and which will transition to the imaginary MIA Network. To help you keep track of what’s in, what’s out, and what’s in serious jeopardy, I’ve once again compiled this handy cheat sheet of the shows that are likeliest — and unlikeliest — to be renewed for the 2010-11 TV season. (I’ve also included those programs that have already been renewed.) My advice to you? Bookmark this page and check back for updates. It could be a matter of life or cancellation. …Seriously? you could have mentioned GREEK!!
That’s still on?
Am I the only one who really likes cold case? Why would they not at least let the drama play out and have a true series finale?
No, it actually still attracts a large audience – but I think they will cancel it even with good numbers a la Without a Trace
I LOVE COLD CASE !!
Yeah, I am going to go out on a limb and say you are the only one watching Cold Case. I didnt even know that was on anymore. I could have swore I heard it either was moved to Lifetime for a final season or was canceled. Keep watching. Your one tv set should be enough to keep it going for 10 more seasons. LOL
People that like Cold Case must just like the characters, or the actors playing them, they sure couldn’t be watching it for the “mystery”. To solve that, all you have to do is eliminate any of the minority characters and concentrate on the white guest stars. One of them will almost always be the one “whodunnit”.
If they want to save the show, they might want to try something original. Let the next murderer turn out to be the black gay transvestite who absolutely hates white male heterosexuals, and everybody will tune in for the rerun, because they damn sure wouldn’t be able to believe it on hearsay.
@Jim LOL
Good for them for not pinning it on the minorities in the show. *Every* other crime show does that! Somebody had to break the trend, b/c it is surely not the case that all crime in North America is committed by a minority!
heck yes cold case is still on.as a 40 year old female, disabled i find cold case to be one of the most unique and educational shows on t.v.cold case is not like every other drama/mystery like all the csi’s.i think if they would put cold case at a 9:oopm slot before a csi that would be a great 2hrs.sunday especially at 10pm is bad people go to bed early to get ready for the work week.come on try it.
i love cold case..and it dominates on the ratings…i don’t understand?
If it doesn’t get renewed, it will be b/c the licensing fee costs too much. It’s been on for several years, and like Without a Trace last year, it gets too expensive versus the ratings it pulls in. That said, not sure if they are going to be able to replicate those ratings with something new when most weeks it gets pushed back by overruns.
ABC Family confirmed Greek will be back this summer…10 episodes to wrap things up. With Casey graduating college, it’s only plausible that the show ends.
I like cold case and still watch it, but this season has not been its best season, but would still be sad to see it go. I would probably be cancelled not because of ratings, because it gets good ratings on sundays, but rather for the cost of the show. It employs a lot of characters and the actors’ salaries are probably the factor in whether it gets cancelled or not. If a few characters leave or are in a shortened number of episodes it has a better chance of being renewed. Honestly, it is the only show they have available that can do well on Sundays. I started watching Undercover Boss mainly because it lead into Cold Case, but I think that show might suffer next season if it did not have a stronger show in the background. One thing I must say is Cold Case should revert back to solving Cold Cases and blend in the personal lives a little better instead of the personal lives of characters overwhleming the cold case of the episode.
Why is “V” renewed? If the timeslots of “FlashForward” and “V” were switched, I think “V” would have been rightfully cancelled. Yuck. Not that “FF” was stellar, but it was much more entertaining than a recycled alien story.
COLD CASE is the best Crime Show. It is mainly the only show I’m upset about losing this fall season. I’m not quite sure what CBS is thinking also axing Ghost Whisperer. Hopefully ABC picks it up. CBS needs to start using their Brains a little better. They should’ve Canceled CSI Miami instead of Cold Case or at the very least gave Cold Case fans a proper Finale!!! SHAME ON YOU CBS!!!
I really liked Cold Case, just as I liked Without a Trace. Looks like the networks are pandering to teenagers and vying for cheap reality shows. They’re going to lose a huge audience of the over 30 crowd and so will their sponsors. Network television is almost to the point of useless and unwatchable.
no, you’re not the only one that likes cold case.
i also liked the forgotten & mercy, and they are canceled too. figures
I Love Cold Case – Great Story Lines and I love the flashbacks. Seems like you invest time in a great show and then the powers that be yank it off the shelf. I’m even more upset that Ghost Whisperer has now been permanently pulled. Another quality show that families can enjoy together.
YES GREEK! It better be back-although I’m not sure how good it’ll be without Cappie and Casey!
Yes…. Please say GREEK is ok! I can’t lose my Cappie fix and my Ugly Betty all in the same year.
Maybe because it’s not a network broadcast show genius? ABC FAmily isn’t up there.
PickleJuice44, why don’t you read a book instead. Might I suggest either the Iliad or the Odyssey?
Homer…just because you can read dead lit doesn’t, in any way, make you superior. Having read them both, I don’t feel any better equipped to deal with real life. We all entertain ourselves as we see fit. Take your snobbery to a site where it matters(to other irrelevant academicians).
I’m horribly addicted to both Greek and Ugly Betty and have read both The Iliad and The Odyssey. In addition, I am currently re-reading Mansfield Park by Jane Austen for about the 5th time. I consider the Wanting Seed by Anthony Burgess and Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo to be my all time favorite books with Much Ado About Nothing by Shakespeare and Lysistrata by Aristophanes? Does that make me better than PickleJuice44? No. It does however mean one is perfectly capable of being able to enjoy many different forms of entertainment. Get off your high horse.
That should have said *to be my favorite plays* after Much Ado and Lysistrata.
I am guessing the “Homer” above has not read Illiad (there is no “the” in front of it) or The Odyssey (which does so it should be capitalized). Such hypocrisy from someone who watches enough television him/herself to be reading and commenting on a gossip blog about television.
I love Ugly Betty and have just read Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s Chronicle of a Death Foretold and Toni Morrison’s Beloved. What the heck do books have to do with tv show renewals???
Is the joke that..she wants to see Greek… and you’re talking about Greek literature.. ohhh FUNNY. NOT!!

I am guessing the “Homer” above has not read Illiad (there is no “the” in front of it) or The Odyssey (which does so it should be capitalized). Such hypocrisy from someone who watches enough television him/herself to be reading and commenting on a gossip blog about television.
Actually my good fellow it is called the iliad, translated from Greek. I hate it when people do try and put someone else done for daring to suggest that one should read a little more and watch a little less fluff.
Also, the Iliad, which means a poem about ilium… meaning it isn’t a book. though the official name is Iliad, The Iliad is commonly accepted (even in exams).
I should know, I did study the philosophy of Homer, as well as Aquinas, Hardy, Bentham, Mill, Kant, etc.
That isn’t trying to be superior, any fool can read… It’s just most fools chose not to.
I myself found the joke funny… mainly because of the pedantic posts missing the punchline, like a boeing over the head.
PS> don’t believe bout the iliad, I have a study of it by penguin books.
Ditto – I want to hear about Greek too!
That’s a list of broadcast network shows so those on cable have yet to be listed if ever EW intends on having them included as well.
Please somebody kill Heroes, Smallville, and Cleveland!
Please not Heroes ~ Please!
It is my favorite show. I miss it already
If you dont like smallville cleavland show or heros shut up there are people that do!!
While I used to love Heroes it just won’t stop getting worse…but leave Smallville alone–after going this long, let it get to 10 years…somehow this season is not only watchable, it’s kinda really good too O.o
Heroes was absolutely horrible last year and deserved to be cancelled.. they made enough progress to be given another chance, but they have no leeway.. they have to get better, and it starts by ditching Claire because she is horrible in the show, and her presence as an actress/person is even worse. Hayden Panatierre is a spoiled brat who is needy and divisive to the show.
Tim Kring needs to go as well as HP!
Any other writer could have salvaged a halfway decent script out of that finale, but Kring probably wrote it on the sh!tter as it smells that bad.
It’s a testament to several of the actors that they manage to pull off a decent performance with some of the scripts, but I guess they got used to that in s3.
Yes, please, if they promise to put Heroes out of its misery, I actually might bother going back to watch the last season.
i could care less about Heroes, Didn’t I tell you guys I broke up with it? I ‘m sorry well, here I am now and I feel happy at last. Man, I wish they’d make their minds up on 24 if it’s to be the season or not.
Why don’t you just not watch them, brainchild? Smallville just keeps getting better. Heroes has it’s ups and downs. I am not familiar with your third objection, but maybe I should try it…
Yes we can do without these! They have just become dumb!
Smallville has actually become better than ever. They are using a lot more of the general DC Universe mythology which is great for those of us who are fans of characters other than just Superman/Superboy. The storylines are much darker which is great seeing as how the comic books themselves have become much darker. The extra focus on Chloe and Green Arrow has been fantastic. So happy it should be back again!
Ok as happy as I am about Chuck, Smallville and Lie to Me…I can’t help but want to scream about Better Off Ted. It’s the smartest comedy on television and the only show on tv (other than Party Down) that is 100% sure to make me laugh…out loud…at least three times. ABC needs to give this show a real chance (ie a good time slot around shows that aren’t dying or already dead)
I keep waiting for Heroes to get better but looks like it’s not going to happen. As for Smallville, this season has been really good and getting better.
Smallville was good last year and great this year. It’d be nice if the writers could head over to Heroes and fix that disaster.
I gave up on heroes a season or so ago, I just don’t get it, why are they called heroes? who do they save? Just give Peter his own show at least he saves people! become heroes already!!!!! The writers have been given so many seasons to fix the problems but it just gets worse, if somebody is given the chance to fix it and then doesn’t them it deserves to go!!! In a last ditch attempt maybe get some comic book writers in and give them full creative control as I’m sure they are familer with what a hero should be!!!
SMALLVILLE
happy face…now just get him to fly & in the suit & bring lex back for season 10, get Perry White in the Daily Planet get ma Kent back to the farm to make the suit and let the games of season 10 begin YAYYYYY
There’s nothing wrong with Heroes. Its still one of the best shows. I vote get rid fo Smallville. That’s should ended long time ago.
dude Smallville will live on its gotten better ratings and now that they have geoff johns of DC writing episodes(by the way he is Creative Director of anythign and everything of DC, so he knows his stuff) im pretty sure they plan on one more season. as far as rosenbaum back as lex he has sworn it off and now that gough and millar arent in charge the no tights no flights rule is no longer in play so lets bring out the big guns
I love Heroes too. I love my children and they are not always good, either, but always entertaining, lol.
Although, I am not a regular viewer of Smallville I think the show is pretty good and I am starting to watch it on Netflix. Plus, it it the only other good show aside from Supernatural that the CW has. Seriously, you are saying get rid of Smallville are you a fan of Gossip Girl or any of the other bad shows on CW Howard Zen? I think the CW should put more money into their money making shows instead of taking away a percentage of their budget and shoving it into all their other shows.
Dude, just don’t watch them then. There’s no one forcing you to. They should go ahead with the shorter season of Heroes to close it out and give it a proper ending. I really have never watched Smallville but I know many people do, so who am I to say whether it should be canceled or not? Who cares? If you don’t like it, don’t watch it.
I’m an eternal optimist. No matter how bad the past few seasons of Heroes have been I keep watching, hoping it will return the the absolute greatness of it’s first 12 episodes. Every once in a while there’s a sleight glimmer of hope…but then it fades quickly. So please, please, please put us all out of our misery and kill this abysmal show already? Please don’t prolong the agony.
@Jen? give Peter his own show? why? on wait one thing I wouldn’t watch!
Please somebody kill Howard Zen
They should at least give Heroes a half season to close out the series. They can’t end it the way they did. They gave Trauma a 1/2 season b4 it got cancelled for Jay Leno and then came back on when Jay was cancelled. Too bad Trauma got the axe too, it wasn’t a bad show. They should have put it before Heroes and given it a fair shot.
I was disappointed about FlashForward, it had potential…
no no no no your not kill ing heroes plus they never got rid of clarie now stop ecusing show for what they dident do and only say whitch one you want to stay insted of saying “oh this has got to go oh ya that one to”
We need to know if Greek is coming back!
I think he just wanted to mention broadcast network shows on this page, but maybe he’ll put up cable shows next week.
It clearly states that this is a list of shows on broadcast Networks.
TONIGHT’S RATINGS WILL DETERMINE IF GREEK GETS RENEWED OR NOT, SO PLEASE WATCH!!
I used to really like Greek but even though I still watch it, I think that the show has run its course.
Seems like any viewers could’ve assembled this list. Tell us something we don’t already know.
BTW, “Heroes” is someone’s “favorite show?” (shudder)
BTW, Someone asks “What about Vampire Diaries?” #1, if you have to ask, you’re an idiot. #2, did you not read the article?
Yeah I shuddered too. Heroes is the most god awful program on television, hands down. And this is coming from a former fan.
About the “Vampire Diaries” inquiry: originally it wasn’t included in the post.
I still watch Heroes. It still has some good moments and characters mixed in with the bad.
one tree hill is worse than heroes. im still holding my breath for melrose, although it’s doubtful.
Greek is in trouble, so much so that they filmed two finales, one which will serve as season finale and one that will serve as series finale.
I suppose it depends on how they look at the numbers. It loses a substantial amount of viewership from its lead-ins, but it also maintains a viewership fairly close to last season’s. I wouldn’t count on a season 4.
Please, don’t cancel Cold Case, I love it.
I am going to sound like an old woman but they changed the time slot to 10 pm on a Monday…I DVR it but sorry I can’t stay up that late.
Am I the only one who really likes cold case?
I love the show. The problem is that Sunday night is so unpredictable during football season. I have to DVR the show because I’m not able to watch TV on Sunday nights. If I don’t DVR the next two hours after Cold Case, I’m never sure to get the show because of all of the over-runs. I’ve sort of thrown up my hands. Bummer, but nothing I can do about it.
I love Cold Case too….hate to see it end…Part of its problem is the time slot. With football and even sometimes golf and the 10 pm slot, I always have to record it and set it to record for at least one extra hour. Any show set after a live sport has a rough time.
NO I love it too…I dvr during football season
You are not alone. I love it!
I used to love Cold Case – but frankly the really really cold cases began to bore me. Someone died before tv was even invented and the crew manages to solve the case….So it became a pick and choose – a cold case that impacts someone still alive or not 100 yrs old….that’s a story. A dead soldier from WW1 or even WW2 that affects only a great great grandchild – just doesn’t hold my interest. What happened to the lead’s sister? Why don’t the two leads get together? we need some chemistry going on here.
They cancel Cold Case, and that’s it for me with TV! I can’t believe they are even considering cancelling Cold Case! It’s appauling! There ratings are AMAZING! The storylines are getting much better, and I’m still finding myself addicted to it. I’m very disappointed with CBS.
I like Greek, but I’m a believer in letting a story run it’s natural course and have it end gracefully. I just hate it when series keep graduated characters around for some lame reason just to keep the show going.
I like cold case a lot probably because I lived in Philadelphia and like seeing places and institutions I recognize incorporated into the story.
I like Old Christine they should keep that. If they want a suggestion, get rid of the Good Wife! I tried to watch that twice and had the best sleep of my life each time. Litterally knocked me out to the point that I woke up and wondered wth happened to me. I had to csi Ny myself to figure out that I left the tv on CBS and Julianna margulies’ monotone put me into a comatose state.
uhhh … look at the list. these are the networks. cable not included. although it’s easy not to consider the cw an actual “network”.
Hello! Greek’s on cable. This is a broadcast network cheat sheet.
When was this last updated? Anyone know? PS. Greek has been renewed.
This is a list of network shows, not cable ones.
yea and other abc family shows, i.e. Lincoln Height
It was cancelled last year
congrats on the renewal!
Only going to mention shows people watch. Greek is not something people watch.
Greek is on ABC Family…they only mentioned the 5 major networks…not the cable networks…
Greek is a CABLE show. Look athe the link to cable renewal for this information. http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/02/17/cable-bubble-show-scorecard-ausiello/
Greek? This blog is for adults.
Ausiello, how do you keep your job? This scorecard is so far off it is hilarious. For an “insider,” you seem to be left outside.
already slated for it’s final season this summer – she graduates.
im sorry but you could have gone out and done a survey with the people who watch theses shows for instance i loved watching doll house and cold case.
GREEK is renewed… they were filming at ucla on friday
You do know that Greek is cable right . . . ?
What about The Vampire Diaries?
Definitely a sure thing.
I love reading my favorite shows are already renewed :]
Me too! I’m still heartbroken (and angry at ABC!) about Pushing Daisies being cancelled so i don’t think I could take it. I’m glad the full Thursday Night Comedy lineup is ‘a sure thing’ despite not having record ratings. 30 Rock…Parks and Rec…those shows make me laugh out loud every week!
I’m sorry, I’ve tried and tried, but I still don’t find 30 Rock funny AT ALL. I watched the other night to give the show ANOTHER try, but again, I just stared at the TV bored out of my mind with not even a hint of smile…yes fringe is a “safe bet”, which is better than “a long shot”
I didn’t like 30 Rock the first few times I watched it, but once you sink into it and pick up on the humor its hilarious. There are a lot of subtlties that make it just perfect.
Thanks you Sara… I couldn’t agree more!!!!
The saddest part about Pushing Daisies is that ABC did not showcase the season 1 re-runs, so those who started watching season 2 stopped watching because they did not know what was going on. However, a lot of people are watching it on netflix or other forms are stated they have really enjoyed it. I laugh and tell them well where were you last season and the season before? LOL. If you want to see Chi McBride (aka emerson) he is on Human Target on Fox.
Am another 1 who agrees with you over Pushing Daisies thought it was a great Unique show gutted when it was cancelled.
YAYYYY! FRINGE!!!
I know! A safe bet!!
gosh i hope so! its my fav show on TV!!
Is “Fringe’s” and “Lie To Me’s” DVR numbers+DVD sales that good?! Their ratings have been lower this season and i was afraid that they are in limbo.
Good for them if they are safe because i enjoy both of these shows.
definately the best show at the moment. It should better be renewed, otherwise, I’m goin ballistic^^
@m. Fringe gets beat by Greys, but it’s good counter-programming and the ratings aren’t in the Dollhouse range. Plus its got an X-Files type of cult following and they have nothing in development to replace it with, so it’s a sure bet to return.
Yeah Thank God!!! I was so worried it would be in trouble. FOX needs to move it back to Tuesday nights (preferably at 9:00 central time so it doesn’t collide with ABC’s LOST).
it def needs to be moved back to tues, fringe and lie to me’s ratings are practically the same. im pro-fringe though!
Yeah, Fringe and Supernatural going head to head on Thursdays makes me very, very happy that I have a DVR.
only a few more episodes of Lost, then no worries!
Not sure Supernatural and Smallville are “a sure thing” based on their price tags and ratings.
Supernatural and Smallville are WB production and make the desired profit, they are a sure thing
am sure that Supernatural would still be an amazingly well written show without the winchesters but i the rumours of jensen/jared not being into doing another season are true – it muddies the waters for the shows future
I thought the creator of Supernatural wanted this to be the last season. I know he isn’t as strict about that as he once was, but I still think he’s the biggest thing holding the show back from coming back.
I disagree. From recent interviews the writers and Eric are ready to continue the show (with another plot, the Apocalypse storyline will and this season)
Yeah, he said the Lucifer/angels/apocalypse story would be wrapped up this season and that the brothers’ relationship would be healed. Not sure how they can up the ante monster-wise after Lucifer, though, but if anyone can do it, I’m sure it’s Kripke.
I sure hope so. Love me some Sam and Dean.
It’s funny, because the show premise has so completely jumped the shark, but the actors and dialogue are still plenty good enough to keep the show running. WB ratings are horrible in general, so their meager share in comparison to the giant shows doesn’t matter as much. They are graded on a curve basically.
I disagree that Supernatural has jumped the shark. I think this has been its best season to date. Smallville may be another story, but the Supernatural team is doing its best work this year: writing, acting, technical stuff – all top notch.
Supernatural is probably one of the best written shows on television. Jumped the shark? Hardly. I am not sure how they are going to deal with a post- apocalyptic showdown situation, but this season has been the strongest yet. It’s a shame the show doesn’t get the critical acclaim it deserves. I think the sci fi elements cause it to be overlooked.
As for Smallville, that show is uneven, but the JSA storyline was a renaissance of sorts for the series.
I LOVE this show, but I hope they only bring it back if it’s going to be great. Not like so many other shows that keep going until even the core fans can’t stand them. Better to end on a high note.
if you read previous articles Supernatural has been renewed for a 6th season and Eric Kripke will still be exec producer and oversee many of the things. However he will no longer be the showrunner which he will hand over to Sera Gamble next season. Jared and Jensen are signed on for the 6th season. This past season the network cut thier budget by 30 percent (which is stupid), so that is why we only hear the cool songs every 4th or so episode. Hopefully the stupid network would not cut Supernatural’s budget again because that would be stupid. I think they cut their budget and state it is because the shows are expensive, but I think it is mainly because they take a portion of their 2 top rated shows and shove it into their other shows which are just plain awful or boring. Yet, it is surprising that with Smallville an Supernatural’s budget cuts they are still able to produce good well written shows and still make their shows look great.
smallville is the closet thing to a sure thing as you can get…consider there is nothing CW can put on friday that will get the ratings smallville does
So true.
The most recent Smallville (Warrior Angel) was among their all-time best. It really showed everyone evolving into what we all know they become (well, Chloe is a new element…)
Probably cause most people go out on Fridays, you know, have lives?
And the people that don’t, well, they watch Smallville
I thought I had read in TV Guide that Supernatural was on the bubble. I hope not b/c that is one show we catch every week. Along with Lost, Castle, Mentalist, Two and a half men, big bang theory, American Idol, Undercover boss….damn I watch too much t.v.
Ugh, NBC… I’d rather watch Trauma than Mercy any day of the week – EMS is more interesting than hospitals even when you represent it poorly.
I love Trauma. But will they even air the last few episodes of this season?
Trauma will resume airing next month, to be paired up with Chuck.
The new episodes starting airing March 8 @ 9PM Eastern. We have 10 more episodes!! Can’t wait for Trauma to be back on the air. Hope we can get ratings up & a 2ns season. Don’t forget to tell your friends!
mercy is soooo good though!! very witty and emotionally fulfilling. trauma just makes up stupid situations that would never happen on a regular basis
Totally agree. I LOVE Mercy. I really hope it comes back. Somebody told me that it’s seen an increase in ratings, so I’m hoping that’s a good sign!
Actually, I am an EMT myself and I find Trauma to be semi-close to real life. The relationships between EMT/Medic and hospitals are spot on, and you would be surprised what people do in real life.
I am a HUGE Mercy fan…def one of the best shows on right now… Love the acting and the storylines!! PLEASE bring back MERCY (and not on Fridays)
I LOVE MERCY. GRRRRRR NBC
Me too. I love TRAUMA. Truthfully, I’ve never seen Mercy so I cant’ judge. But I’m crushed that Trauma is as good as gone.
Count me in. TRAUMA has great character development.
Excuse me, Mike, you don’t even have MIAMI MEDICAL on the list. That show is starting to grow on me.
I agree, please, give us mercy from “Mercy”, who needs it? Trauma is a much better show and I really enjoyed the few episodes I found my my cable’s On Demand system after the network put the show on hiatus. If any medical show comes back, I’d much rather watch Trauma.
I love Trauma a hella lot more than Mercy. I believe the characters are more interesting. I love Rabbit and Nancy.
EWWW, Trauma smells.
the same could be said of Mercy but that’s just someone’s opinion, Champion your show, but there’s no need to be mean about someone else’s'/
Melissa- I have a feeling you might be in EMS? I think most systems have enough interesting calls (psych, delivery, trauma, codes, etc) and drama/gossip within the system to fuel a TV series, without making up the ridiculous stuff
I know our’s does…
The Vampire Diaries?
lol, thinking alike
How ’bout The Vampire Diaries?
Smallville season 10!!!!!
Go Chloe and Oliver!!
I was psyched to see Smallville & Supernatural listed, too. Those 2 shows are two bright spots on network tv for the most part. Only a few procedurals and these two show really hold my interest anymore.
wow, this is REALLY helpful *facepalm*
1-10… 10 being “a sure thing…” where does “a safe bet” lie?
I’m thinking a 7-8. Hopefully Fringe is more 8 than 7.
Exactly what I was thinking. If Fringe makes the cut, I’ll feel better about the inevitable fates of Ugly Betty, Dollhouse, and Better Off Ted.
Fringe better be renewed or else I am going to send very angry letters to FOX!!!!
Me too!!!!!! We could do it a la Jericho and send hands in jars and giant worms to FOX! (kidding by the way)…
It should be. It was FOX’s own fault that Fringe is getting beaten by Grey’s Anatomy and Survivor, ratings-wise. Seriously, which genius thought it’s a good idea to take a cushy timeslot away from Fringe? Anyway, it’s awesome, creative-wise, so I doubt if FOX will cancel it.
Personally, I’ve never cared about ratings, just about good shows. Nevertheless, I’m confident that FOX will renew Fringe.
“Supernatural: A sure thing.”
Please, be right. Please, be right. Please, be right…
Are you sure you want that, if Kripke has run out of ideas? He planned a 5-year arc, and as far as I know, the actors are only signed on for 5 years. I’d rather it end now, rather than suffer a slow, painful, watered-down death, like Smallville’s.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Jared & Jensen are signed on for a sixth season already.
According to several interviews (don’t know them off the top of my head), Kripke has actually been bitten by the plot bug, or something, because he’s got plenty of ideas. At least, that’s what they said.
Also, Jared and Jensen are signed for six years. Misha, however, is not. Which makes me worried. D:
Your comment showed us how little you know. Thanks for your take.
*Chuckles* I doubt that Kripke and his writers would ever run out ideas.
“This chapter will end this season, but there is no reason for another one starts”, Kripke said back on Comic Convention. Sera Gamble said basically the same. Even Ben Edlund who, in my opinion was torn at the beginning now seems pretty excited about a season 6 according to his recent BuddyTV interview. All this show us that they’re ready and NOT out of ideas.
Jared and Jensen are signed for 6 years, they told us about a year ago, so I can’t imagine know HOW you didn’t know that, really….
Now, if you excuse-me…

yeah what about Vampire Diaries?
Vampire Diaries??
Why does everyone keep asking about the vampire diaries it is the last one listed and says a sure thing plus I’ve already heard that it is coming back for season two.
I agree… first thing i did was scroll down to make sure TVD was on list
I think it’s safe to say The Vampire Diaries will be renewed for a second season.
