Why can’t they give good shows a chance to get some legs? Human Target is really enjoyable; I like The Forgotten, too (although a couple of the side characters are boring). And thanks to Hulu, I’m now totally addicted to Better Off Ted.

    • Eric

No clue why they don’t put Better Off Ted with the other Wednesday comedies and give it a chance to find a larger audience. That 8 PM slot is just sitting there empty.

      • diva

Even though I don’t watch Better off Ted, I still think they should put it on Wednesday. But the reason they probably don’t is because A repeated episode of Modern Family (love that show!) gets 8 million viewers (10 in its actual time slot) while Better off Ted averages about 3 million which is why it’s probably gonna get cancelled.

    • Bills

I agree. We love Better off Ted at our House. It is one of the few comedies on that are actually funny. Love their fake commercials for Veridion.

It would be a great addition to Wednesday’s lineup.

  • Luce

Someone’s updating the list quick. Vamp Diaries has already been added.

  • Jesse

    YAY SMALLVILLE!
Season 9 has been fantastic :D

  • Travon Epps

VD is already renewed along with the other CW shows listed with the exception of MP,OTH and LUX. Those shows will get decisions by the end of the month. (oth and LUX will most likely be back with budget and/or schedule changes)

    • Krista

i have a feeling that as long as the actors on OTH can renegotiate their contracts it will be back

  • Shadow Step

That’s a great picture. Those night school hours were well spent!

  • llevinso

I was assuming Better Off Ted had already been cancelled. It hasn’t been on in weeks with no word from anywhere on what happened. Great show though.

  • chris

I only care about Fringe, V and Flashforward. Crossing my fingers for those.

  • Cate

    Yay, Community!!

  • Robbob

Could go either way???? What the heck.. Can’t you at least give us an idea of which way it’s gonna go? Specifically for 24 and Human Target… If those get cancelled, there will be no more good action shows!

    • Kristie

Amen to that! I would be devastated if 24 went away! And my boyfriend and I have been enjoying Human Target… and why axe it after hardly a season? They screwed people over by canceling Sarah Connor Chronicles too early. I hope they don’t make the same mistake with Human Target.

      • hope

Finally, I’ve been crossing this list hoping to find 24 supporters and I’ve found some!! I’d be devasted too in fact I think I’d cry if that happened. Jack Bauer and 24 rules.

    • jmh

24 going either way has nothing to do with ratings. It pulls in ratings every week. It has to do with Kiefer Sutherland signing on for another season. He was only contracted through this season.

  • Kevin

Yay for Fringe. Boo for Better off Ted. Funniest sitcom on right now, other than Modern Family.

  • Michelle

So all I have worry about is FlashForward and V. Awesome. Everything else is listed as a sure thing. Let’s hope NBC gets their heads out of the butts and orders Rex Is Not Your Lawyer to series. And CBS orders Hawaii Five-O. I will be one happy TV viewer!

  • Ellie

    Yay for Chuck!

    • Todo

How so? It’s not even a sure thing or safe bet. Dumb NBC better not cancel it or I swear I am sooooo done with that idiotic network.

      • Mer

        Hear hear!!

  • Carl

    YAY FOR FRINGE!!!

    I LOVE THAT SHOW!!!!

  • Wendy

I love Chuck, but the ratings have been going down since the premiere so I’m not sure it’s safe. The fans need to make sure they tune in and introduce Chuck to friends/family who might like it. Wouldn’t hurt is someone at EW did a recap either…Any chance Aus?? Now that Heroes is done can we get an EW recap for something that’s NOT a reality show…please??

    • Todo

Seriously, EW has totally been giving Chuck the cold shoulder lately. No recaps, no nothing.

  • Sue Denim

Thank you for the list. I’m not surprised to see Smallville on it at all. Although I would at this point rather the CW rerun SPN and TVD into the ground. I do have a hard time believing CW is making a profit from Smallville, but that’s not my concern.

    • Sarah

Smallville was one of the top 10 best selling TV series on DVD last year. And it was also the only show from the CW to make that list. It’s making money for the CW.

      • Justme

Well it’s making money for the WB who owns the CW. I am guessing the WB covers alot of the costs for the series through other means(DVDS, foreign markets, iitunes, etc)

I wouldn’t be suprised if Supernatural moves to Friday Nights next year so the CW has a beefier friday night and then they put a new series after VD.

    • Carrie

Apparently, “Smallville” is also huge internationally, so Warner Bros. makes a lot of money off of the show. It’s also bringing in the best ratings The CW has had on Friday nights.
