Exclusive: 'Lost' star Harold Perrineau finds killer 'CSI: NY' role

Tags:

It looks like late Lost castaway Harold Perrineau is about to shoot another harrowing death scene — only this time on CSI: NY.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the CBS procedural has tapped Perrineau to guest star as a death row inmate who ironically finds himself fighting for his life when he’s trapped in a prison riot.

And that’s not the episode’s only twist.

Hill Harper’s Hawkes also happens to be in the prison when the riot breaks out. What’s he doing there? Can’t say. I can, however, reveal that Perrineau’s convict drops a huge bombshell on Hawkes’ lap just moments before the melee erupts. Said bombshell forces Hawkes to come to terms with a part of his past he had hoped would never surface.

Look for the episode to air in April, which, coincidentally, could be right around the time Perrineau is poised to return to Lost as Michael.

Think you know the secret that will rock Hawkes’ world? Head to the comments!

Maybe Hawkes and Perrineau’s character once met on an island…

    • Nifty 50s

I wish we could go back to the 50s. Life was better then, less people, less clutter, less competition. Take it anyway you want to.

    I call the Brother card

    • JRose48

I’m betting on the brother thing too.

  • Ronet

    OZ is back! :D

    • Ron

Yes!! Hope he at least gets to walk a bit before the riot.

  • Dominique

Yeah I’m pretty sure they’ll be related.. Either that or whatever Perrineau’s character has done that got him on death row will have something to do with Hawkes.

    • Jeff

Broadest Prediction Ever. “I’m pretty sure it will have something to do with Hawkes. Either that or it won’t.”

      • Dominique

Oh shut the heck up, do you honestly expect any other kind of “twist” while th emost important information is already revealed?

  • David4

He is coming back to LOST? Dear god help us, I can’t stand him!

    Is WWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! coming back too?

    • Katja

What??? I LOVED him on Lost. And Walt. They were some of my favorite characters (shoot, all the original main ones were my favorites, plus Juliet and Ben and Richard and…sh*t, all of them) and I’ve missed them ever since they made their exit.

Harold Perrineau is *such* a good actor. See him as Mercutio in Baz Luhrman’s Romeo & Juliet – he is incredible. He deserves to be getting more work and more interesting work. I always was disappointed that his Lost role didn’t really give him a chance to show his chops.

    • Vince

Agreed! He was great in OZ as well.. I even saw him play a gay guy in some chick flick once I remember him being funny in it..
Very good actor I hope to see more of him soon!

      • JRose48

He was in Women On Top with Penelope Cruz. He was awesome in that.

      • JRose48

        err..WomAn On Top

I rearlly enjoyed HP on The Unusuals. It was such a quirky show and his character was great. RIP Unusuals!

    • sally1018

I agree Mells. I thought he did a great job and I liked the show.

  • alice

Perrineau will play a man responsible for the death of Hawkes’s sister he killed her. He asked hawkes to come to the prison before his lethal injection.Oups this is just my thinking…

    • Gavin

I agree with Alice. Hawkes dead sister point and the mystery about who killed her is a major plot point on CSI/NY

  • alice

Perrineau plays the man responsable for the death of Hawkes’s sister he killed her and ask him to come to the prison before his lethal injection to apologise.

  • robinepowell

SUPRISE!! I’m the brother you never knew you had. ;)

  • stephen from the edge

He should have kept his dreads. Now he looks like just another dude. He was awesome as Mercutio and put a great spin on a classic character, I love when he gives Romeo the roll afer his queen of mad speech. He’s also damn good in ‘The Edge’ where he steals the show from Hopkins and Baldwin, until bart the bear eats him alive. Great scene, still chilling to this day. He looked legitimately scared..

  • Nat

Two of the best-looking guys in the business on screen together? I’m looking forward to that!

  • Ann

As long as his character kills Hawkes I am all for it!

    • DJ

I would love it if the producers killed off Hawkes. He reminds me of the little kid who sits in class and gets all the answers right, but as soon as he steps out of the classroom he makes an idiot of himself and shows us just how useless he really is.

But Sadly, I doubt they would.

  • Nicole

This would be awesome news if CSI:NY wasn’t such a stupid show.

Seriously, the only good character is Flack, and he is barely in it!

  • Joe Smith

No WAAAAAAAAAAAALT yet. I hope SOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
