Pilot Intel: 'Twilight' vamp eyes CBS medical drama

Twilight bloodsucker Rachelle Lefevre has joined the cast of CBS’ Untitled Medical Drama from producer John Wells, sources confirm to me exclusively.

The project revolves around a team of medical professionals who travel the U.S. helping those in desperate need of assistance.

It’s ER on wheels!

Lefevre’s character, Katy, is described as a smart and confident medical road warrior who’s more comfortable working in the field than in the office. The cast also includes Amy Smart.

Lefevre is also known for her recurring roles on What About Brian, Boston Legal, and Swingtown.

    Cool.

    • AcaseofGeo

PLEASE!!! No more CBS Medical dramas. This network just can’t do the genre well. 3LBS? 3 Rivers? Even Chicago Hope was dull and paled next to ER. Just don’t do it.

  • Sam

So, does anyone have any idea who she was on Twilight?

    • Nina

      She WAS Victoria.

    • Sarah

She was Victoria in the first 2 Twilight films.

      • Jamie

She was Victoria in Twilight. Bryce Dallas Howard replaced her in New Moon.

      • mishka

Uh…no. Rachelle was replaced for Eclipse. She was in New Moon.

    • Denise

Victoria – the red-headed vampire that was out to get Bella

  • Joe Jonas

At this point, it would be pretty cool if this thing were called “Untitled Medical Drama” because, really, what’s the difference?

    • Valley Girl

I’ll have to admit, Joe your comment made me LOL…

    • HC

      haha agreed! Joe called it!

  • Dee

Ooh, I’d love to have her on my screen every week. Rachelle is hot.

  • Kristen

She also had a guest role on the Bones episode “The Man on Death Row.” :)

  • J

Please please please keep the title “Untitled Medical Drama”! That was be hilariously amazing.

So is this the chic from the blind item a while ago? (That one who got screwed by her current show contract that wouldn’t let her out to pursue a new show?) Because I think she was also on that stupid lawyer show, The Deep End, right? That was probably the show that wouldn’t let her out. Right? Yeah. I have decided that this is the case. Interesting that it was her. She seems to leave a trail of controversy behind. I like her though. She’ll do well.

    • Sienna

I don’t think so. Her character on “The Deep End” got fired in the second or third episode.

    • P

The blind item chic is Katie Cassidy from Melrose Place

  • lanam

she is a very pretty and talented actress- but there are so many medical dramas on tv right now

    • Buzz

…and so many that canned every year…
I thought John Wells’ works would be immune to early cancellation , and then Southland bit it ( though was revived) … Of course that was at NBC and we know they’re clueless in a lot of ways…

      • Buzz

        ..Get canned, I meant

  • Syn

    “Untitled Medical Drama”… I love it…

  • CO

Alex O went from a vampire show on CBS to CBS medical drama. Now she is going from Twilight to CBS Untitled Medical Drama. How long will it take for this to get canceled?

  • Kim

I’ll always see her as the girl on Big Wolf On Campus.

    • kat

      agreed.

    • Becca

Same here! (Though Lori was 10000x better.)

  • Jake

As long as we’re talking about her previous roles, she was also on Candice Bonnerville on Eli Stone, the woman Maggie’s fiance cheated on her with, and Linda’s former roommate Rebecca who went out wth Ted in the first season finale of Better Off Ted. Both of those are dearly missed. Do we really need another medical drama instead of a truly unique show like those were?

    • Chappel

Re: Better Off ted, was that the one where Ted made up a language? She didn’t have a lot to work with in that episode but she really worked what she was given… and she is a cutie. At least now I know who she is.

  • Dave

wasn’t this show already on … on NBC … and called Medical Investigation?

  • redvector

Untitled Medical Drama followed by Untitled Police Procedual that is a spin off of CSI, NCIS, or Criminal Minds.

At the rate CBS is going they’ll spinning off shows that haven’t even aired yet.

  • HerbFinn

If you don’t like why CBS is programing – THEN WATCH ANOTHER NEXTWORK OR CABLE CHANNEL!

    CBS isn’t #1 for nothing,folks!
