ABC Family has done the right thing and renewed Greek for a 10-episode fourth season, sources confirm. I’m told the decision — which, not surprisingly, hinged on money — came down to the wire.

22 episodes isn’t normal for cable series. It’s usually about 13 episodes, give or take, for a cable series.
well the first two season had 22 episodes and idk about the third yet, but compared to the first two,the season four episode order is not normal for the series..
season three has twenty I just learned….so the fact that season four only gets ten worries me….:(
USA cable series has 16. I was basing the 22 count off of the previous seasons. Hence the use of the word normal. As Greek normally gets 22.
Were all 20 or 22 episodes ordered at once? Or were they ordered in 10 or 11 episode installments, since that is how the seasons on ABC family are broken down?
Whatever the case, this is good news. We weren’t sure if it was going to be renewed period, so I’ll take 10 over nothing.
They usually order them in 10 episode increments and air them like that. They have been doing that for each of their seasons so far, so its not a big deal. That’s why they air ten-twelve and then air another ten-twelve at a later time and still call it the same season even though they have a premiere and a finale each time they take a break…
I do think this should be their last season though, they need to wrap everything up.
Oh sorry, my mistake then. I’m only a casual viewer of the show, so I didn’t realize the number of episodes there have been in the previous seasons. But like others said, they may order more. The shows on ABC Family usually tend to split the seasons in half, each half with a premiere and finale.
I think there’s a chance IF the ratings stay up and enough people want it. Everyone make sure to watch live every week…and follow savegreek on twitter for updates on Greek’s status and how you can help.
The problem will be that now that they no longer do the Midnight ET reruns of the three Monday shows, all of them will suffer ratings losses, since they have been combining the ratings, like many of the cable channels do. I used to rely on the later airings, since there is too many things to watch on Monday.
