Yeah, Belushi’s been good in dramas before. He’s been lumped in as being untalented because of all the hate for his show. But y’know, being one of the people who’ve been sidelined by the economy, I’ve been watching this show on daytime tv. And it’s not that bad. For sure, it’s no worse than King of Queens and oftentimes is better. His brother-in-law on the show is very funny. So it’s not great, but the majority of comedies on tv haven’t been(go back and watch an episode of Happy days or Laverne and Shirley). But I would like to see a sequel to the Principal.

Yap that was a great movie.

Jim Belushi landed a job but Michael Urie, Ana Ortiz and Vanessa Williams haven’t? I hate TV.

    • terry

Who? I know who Vanessa Williams is, no clue as to the other 2.

  • Anne

I liked his cameo in “The Ghost Writer”.

  • Tony

I can actually see this. Bizarre but great casting.

Great idea. Let’s do a legal drama. Or a police drama. Or no, a medical drama! I suppose everything else in this perfect world is devoid of drama.

“centers on two charismatic and fiery Las Vegas defense attorneys”

And with a CSI producer helping to run the show?

    Say it with me, now…..

    CROSSOVER….

Random is a good word. Another good word would be ugh. Why do people keep casting this guy? All he ever does is act like a belligerent pig trying to prove to the guys he went to high school with that he’s not gay. Maybe we’ll get lucky and he’ll play his harmonica for us.

I like it! I met Jim Belushi back in the 70s at Second City in Chicago, and have been a fan of this gracious, talented man ever since. He’s incredible at improv…maybe the comedies he was given to act in were at fault, rather than his comedic ability. As to drama, he’s proven himself before, and will again if given good material. I, for one, am very much looking forward to this new series. Good luck, Jim!

I think he would be a better fit for the Rockford Files remake. He’s got that likability factor that James Garner did back in the day.

You know, it’s not THAT big of a shock he’s doing serious. While I HATED (read: HATED) According to Jim, he’s shown his serious side quite well. Has anyone seen Gang Related (with the late 2Pac)? He was EXCELLENT in that.

I see CSI’s Jeff T Thomas is up for a directing role too.
