Scoop: McSteamy's daughter joins 'Scoundrels'

Sarah Connor Chronicles alum Leven Rambin, who just wrapped an arc on Grey’s Anatomy as Mark’s pregnant daughter, has joined the cast of ABC’s summer series Scoundrels.

The dramedy centers on the matriarch (Virginia Madsen) of a family of crooks who attempts to lead her brood on an honest, hardworking path after her hubby (Neal McDonough) is sent to prison. Rambin will play their dumb-as-nails, aspiring model daughter, Vanessa.

Scoundrels — which has been picked up for eight episodes (all of them slated to air this summer) — is based on the New Zealand series Outrageous Fortune.

Yes! No offense to the actress, but I hated that whole daughter story line. And it’s not even b/c I want Mark and Lexie to get back together.

    • maiv

B/c I don’t. I think I’m one of the few fans who thinks their relationship has gone past its full run.

        She was terrible on Grey’s

  • Dominique

Great for her! And if this means she own’t be on Grey’s anymore, than that’s even better! I like Leven Rambin, she’s awesome, but her character on Grey’s was completely useless. Wish her all the best with Scoundrels though, and hope the hsow will be a hit.

Yay!The actress is good, but the story on GA was terrible!

I actually would have liked for Mark and Callie/Arizona to raise the baby together. It could have been very interesting to have these two strong minded individuals become mushy and terrified of a little baby – lots of hilarity and tender moments could have ensued. Oh well.

Is Rob Thomas still working on this project? I vaguely remember his name being attached to it before there was even a working title, but that was a long time ago.

    • Natalie

I was wondering the same thing, actually. I read his version of the script some time ago (and it was quite good), but I think they may have gone with someone else.

Well, I guess he’s probably busy with Party Down, but that’s a bummer.

      • Jen

Rob Thomas had a pilot for the Outrageous remake, but it was called Good Behavior. I think ABC went in a different direction.

I can definitely see her as Pascalle, though. Should be good.

I love Levin, from her days on AMC!!!

The whole story line was s sucky way to break Mark and Lexie, whom I enjoyed as a couple. Bad Shonda. DID, love the “flashbacks” episode a lot though.

Between this “dumb-as-nails” character and the intellectual powerhouse that was the McSpawn on Grey’s Anatomy, this actress might want to be careful… It’s starting to look like typecasting.

Leven looked so hot on Grey’s! She’s pretty funny, too. Can’t wait to see her work with Virginia Madsen!

  • Tarc

Hopefully, her acting on other shows will be dramatically improved over her perfomance on Grey’s.

    • PT

      No doubt.

  • whatevs

I hated her storyline on Grey’s. She turned Mark into a whiny, little b*tch.

    • diiana

      yup!

  • tjj50

I really would like for Neal McDonough to have a successful series. He deserves it.

  • Marten

How is this different from FX’s “The Riches”?

  • brynna

Levin was amazing on All My Children, but so far I haven’t been able to stand anything she’s done since. on Terminator she was ridiculous, and on Grey’s she was beyond annoying. Hopefully this will be a better role.

    • James

And he made little John Connor cry in his mother’s arms. :D

      • James

        I meant “she”…

  • fty

I don’t like her in any role I’ve ever seen her in. She is a guarantee that I will never watch this new show.
