Jason George — who’s currently recurring on Grey’s as Bailey’s new doctor beau Ben — has joined the cast of Off the Map, the ABC drama pilot produced by Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes.
Translation: Rhimes is stealing Bailey’s BF!
On Map, George will play Otis, one of several medical professionals who flee the U.S. to work at a clinic on a tropical island.
The cast also includes Enrique Murciano (Without a Trace) and Caroline Dhavernas (Wonderfalls).

He jumped ship to another SR show. I hardly call that as the actor blowing Grey’s off.

I totally agree. I’m actually very upset about this news. I was so happy that Dr. Bailey was finally getting a love interest and now he’s just leaving the show?!?! Grey’s Anatomy is about to get really bad now that Shonda is working on Private Practice and ANOTHER show

Just to clarify – she’s not the creator.
But it still waters down ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ even further (and ‘Private Practice’ s well) because she will be around less. It will be the first half of last season all over again.
