    YEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!

  • Ange

YES! The CW FINALLY DOES SOMETHING SMART!

  • Katie

OMG! Thanks so much for this news! I was seriously thinking about this today. I had a terrible feeling that it wasn’t going to be renewed for some reason, but this just made my day! so excited! =]

  • Blake

Now all I need is news of One Tree Hill’s renewal….

    • Leslie

Sorry, but SV NEEDS key supporting characters. The Clark Lois will get even more boring without others and though Tom is hot, he can’t carry the show by himself.

  • Tiff

Booo! The only way I’ll even consider watching is if they managed to resign Allison Mack for season 10. Without her, there really isn’t any point to watch the train wreck that is SV.

    • Ange

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. This is an ENSEMBLE show. If you are only watching for one character (who by the way is NOT the star of the show) then you were always doomed to be dissapointed. If you leave…leave. No one cares. (Not that I’m surprised that you had to rain on everyone else’s parade.)

couldnt have said it better myself
        PEACE

      • CaptDave

You rock, Ange. Tell it like it is.

The Chloe tyranny is almost over, Clois fans. Just stay patient for a short while longer.

      • Rebekah

I agree, Smallville shines because it has a great ensemble cast that revolves around a main character. However, if someone decides they like a small, supporting character as their favorite, that’s their choice. I don’t understand the hate. Smallville fans should really stick together. Btw, I am a Chloe fan, but I like Clark and Lois together. Liking Chloe and Clois does not have to be mutually exclusive; they can exist together.

Speaking of train wrecks, Park your car on the tracks.

  • Pauline

YAY Great news!! Well done to everyone involved with SV you all deserve it. YAY

  • roark

He better fly next season…it is beyond silly that he still runs or jumps everywhere.

  • Ben

    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  • Jack

Now all we need is news that Allison Mack will be back, and I’ll be watching the final season!!

  • Sam

that is some excellent news I love smallville

  • Daniel

Get rid of Chloe and Tess, bring back Lana and Lex – and I will watch.

    • Kelly

I’m pretty sure if Lana came back to Smallville everyone else would STOP watching. haha. But Lex is welcome back.

    • Zaphod

Lana’s not coming back unless Kristin’s upcoming CBS show gets canned. I agree with bringing back Lex. Let’s hope those rumors about talks with Rosenbaum for ten episodes are true.

      • Mary

Lana won’t be back because her role in Smallville is done. We’re in myhtos territory now which means Lana’s role in Clark’s life is over. She doesn’t belong in the story anymore. Sorry.

      • Zaphod

Um, Mary, I’m not one of those who want her to come back. I want to get closer to the comic (even if this is an alternate universe we’re dealing with). I’m just saying that the actress who played her has other obligations now.

  • Danny

    Yes!!!!!! :)

  • Jenny

You said the jury is still out on One Tree Hill and Melrose Place two shows I don’t watch. You completely forgot about Life Unexpected!!!

  • Kelly

As long as Tom Welling is back next year that’s good enough for me. He’s the god damn star of this show. I like Allison Mack but she doesn’t make this show for me. (I like Lois a lot better than Chloe these days anyway.)

    • CaptDave

Tell it as it is, Kelly. Superman is my main attraction to the show. Lois is so superior to Chloe Sullivan. I want her tyranny in Clark’s life to be over forever. I’m so tired of suffering through episode after episode of her lies and betrayals. I’m also very tired of listening to her big mouth. I want my Clark & Lois free of her presence.

      • Rainbowblue

captdave -be in denile all you want but the ratings have been showing for years now over and over again that its not TW thats is the main attraction, believe it or not fans watch for other players…lex, lana, kents, pete…and once chloe is added on that list the ratings will tank even further…lower…lower…..lower

      • Joe

Actually, i’d argue that the ratings PROVE that Clark Kent is the main attraction. When there is a solid story for Clark (and often that story involves ensemble players) the ratings remain solid. People tune in. When the story shifts away from him and puts him on the outside of thea ction, the ratings tend to go down. Look at the first half of Season 8–Clark was the star. He was at the DP, he was the lead in every episode. Ratings were good. SEcond half of Season 8, Lana came back and became the star for 5 episodes then Chloe/Davis took over for the rest of the season with Clark as a supporting player. Ratings went down. The ensemble cast is awesome and yes, they are a draw. But this all comes down to story telling. Are you telling a good story for your lead? Is he at the center of the plot? When the answer is “yes” on all counts this show has proven it does well.

this speical, not all shows making to ten seasons, even in this era
