Scoop: 'Burn Notice' recruits 'Game' star Coby Bell

burn-noticeImage Credit: Donovan: Glenn Watson/USA; Bell: Glenn Harris/PR PhotosReady for some red-hot Burn Notice scoop? Sources confirm that Coby Bell — a graduate of The Game and Third Watch — is joining the cast as a series regular in season 4.

Bell’s character, Jesse Garcia, is a cocky, smooth, and sexy counter intelligence expert who has a chameleon-like ability to assume different aliases. He’s also able to read people instantaneously and come up with a character perfectly suited for preying on their vulnerabilities.

The big Q: Is Miami big enough for this guy and Michael?

is he going to be on Michael’s side? or a nemesis? Will he make a play for Fiona?

  • Mike

I’ll reserve judgement until I see him in a couple of eps (nothing against hime, I liked hom in third watch) but why mess with a good formula.

    • Thomas willis

Adding another character isn’t messing with a formula, it’s just bringing in another character. Happens all the time, gotta keep the show fresh!

      • Justin

        I agree

      • Bobbi

A good idea – Bell was very believable on Third Watch. I think he’ll add depth to the show and help the writers expand the story lines. Should be fun to watch.

      I agree Mike…

I wan’t to see more of Seymour the arms dealer and Jackass his sidekick! That would be some nice series regulars.

    • JM

      Me too!!! I love Seymour!

    • llevinso

Yes, I have missed Seymour this season!

    • annmartina

      Yes! Seymour is our favorite

  • Savannah

i agree with mike i love this show so ill tune in. but i think michael, sam, and fiona are enough. they get the job done..very well i might add.

    • n mcgee

coby bell is not necessary. he gets in the way of the perfect cast. The plots are now clumsy and tripping over itself to include this fifth wheel. VERY BAD move.

  • Christian

But can he make things explode just by snapping his fingers? I doubt it!

    • Rachael

Ha! I doubt it indeed. :)

  • Elizabeth

    Awesome… I love Coby.

  • Marie

what…Burn Notice is increasing its hotness!! i didn’t think that was possible.
and before people start with their negative comments about adding someone, remember people, series regular doesn’t mean he’ll be in every episode. i hope they use him like Barry and Seymore (whom I have missed alot in this past season).

    • SheKeria

      Agree

  • joseph

no Miami is not big enough for who ever that is and Micheal

  • Elizabeth

Yummy – Burn Notice just got a little more delicious!

  • Ferne Ross

occasional guest appearances are great … otherwise ..if it works well…don’t fix it…

  • abby

I love love love burn notice and am not really sure how I feel about this yet. I would love to see this guys read Michael and really get under his skin; which I assume would be to go after his family or flirt with Fiona, or belittle all that he has done for his country. I think this may spice Burn Notice up, and I hope that he is a villain. I loved Gilroy and was sad to see him go. I love a foil for Michael no matter who they are.

    • sherry

i think it’s a good idea of the new man coming on the show of BN spark w/fi. just to see how michael handles it well michael get upset & jealous or well it bother him? good question. well have to wait & see.

  • Rachael

I just don’t understand why we need another regular when there are so many fabulous established characters who are already so underused…Seymour, Barry, Bly…I guess it doesn’t matter much though because he’ll probably just get killed off after 4-6 episodes if this past season is any indicator.

  • Scott

Can you say, “Token black guy”?

    • Heidi Searles

      Rude

    • Josclyn

That’s not cool Scott, why does he have to be a “token black guy”? Why can’t he just be a talented actor?

      • Don

I just think it is about time they added some color to the show. Don’t get me wrong, I like it as is and I watch it as is. Just saying…

      • sherry

fewers do u think that BN should keep michael & fi. close together as couples? or should they date others as well?

    • respond to idiot

Can you say ignoramous. Why can’t he be an established actor, who happens to be black, who will bring new energy to show. Small minded and petty people such as yourself are annoying, but the reality is that you are unhappy with yourself, thus the need for hatred. Here’s to the new addition and, in your case, why not say: token fool

  • Jenn

I gotta agree.. why fix something that isn’t broken? This show is all about Mike, Fi, Sam and Maddy.. an occasional guest star is ok but don’t go messing around things. And no one can be hotter then Mike ;)

  • Cookiep

Agree that we don’t need a new regular to mess with our perfect trio. Don’t know this guy but am not intrigued. Why do shows DO this? Rarely a good idea IMO
