I loved Numb3rs and will miss it. It’s too bad it got buried on Friday 10p. I think it would have found a much larger audience on a different night.

It is so sad to me that Numb3rs will probably cancelled. It is a unique show with so much potential left, in my opinion. I LOVE the cast and I think the show gives Rob Morrow room to shine like he hasn’t since Northern Exposure for me. I am still going to hope against hope that it lasts another season.

Hmm I agree that the series have come to a point were it shut be ended, even though I enjoy the show (yes also Larrys philosophic comments). Though I find it a bit annoying that they arent gonna end the series properly. I mean e.g. a plot for the last episode, could be that all the people get transfered to other FBI departments, so that the FBI team in LA natuarally will fall apart, but that might just be me.

(my apologies for my english, I am from Denmark … if you know where that is)

I thought the two brothers were beautifully played…if only US dramas had longer to develop story lines[like UK t.v.]. The vignettes of family life were the most interesting part, because the procedural part became a tad predictable…We need more family-based shows. Maybe they should have made a film!

I used to like Numb3rs, but they made Don too stuffy when he was a savvy agent with an edgy streak.
    I couldn’t stand Don’s new girlfriend either.
Then they turned it into the Charlie and Amita show.
If it aint broke don’t fix it.

  • bklynny

They also focused too much on Larry, besides Charlie and Amita.

Has anyone else notice that at the end of any series RM has done, he has grown his hair out.. like the precursor to the end of “Northern Exposure”, also on CBS. I predicted this to my wife that “NUMB3RS” is going to end at the end of the 09 season as he grew his hair long.

Cold Case and Numb3rs tossed aside – while the really inane shows live on. Law & Order is leaving too – after NBC’s ‘Leno at 10′ fiasco, at least we might see some decent programming in that time slot next season.
Numb3rs was getting harder to believe – plot lines stretched one’s limit for credibility- but I really will miss Cold Case – great characters, good writing, and a seemingly endless supply of plots. Perhaps they’ll come up with a way to save it (like I’m still waiting for Homicide to return to the airwaves…)
Ah well…. maybe I should be reading more…

all of numb3rs was brilliant!!! so sorry its finished, since whole truth seems to be too wondering what Rob Morrow will be seen in next and when it will be seen here in the UK

NUMB3RS was my favorite show. It seems that every time a show becomes too smart or controversial, it is cancelled.
Somebody tries to explain that revenue is the reason – well, some of the best shows, Emmy winnning and well-written, cost more and more as the years went on but networks kept them because they were showpieces: for every idiotic reality show that didn’t cost them much, they could point to JAG, or The West Wing, etc.
As for the writing or storylines on NUMB3RS going downhill, I agree – but only AFTER CBS began hinting about shortening the last year or cancelling it. And the actorrs even though they are pros, for the most part saw the writing on the wall when CBS started hinting, and most of the writers and actors began putting less into the show. There were so many places that show could have gone to in terms of new stories, but CBS just pulled the rug out from under it. I will never watch a show on CBS again after watching the tacky way they handled their “maybe” announcements about this show’s future when all along they had an agenda to end it. Bye, CBS.

  • James

One other thing – you could see if you have the DVDs of the last season at the good-bye get togethers and in the interviews that some of these actors were in tears and some didn’t allow their faces to be photographed because they just couldn’t help but showing how disappointed they were and how betrayed they felt by CBS.

  • Joram Arentved, ‘J.A.,’ please.

Hello there, Rob, (Bob), whatever you
can get away with it or not, it’s my honor right now to let you receive a relevant message of mine that money obliges me to start by telling you that what most matters to me, is to exist as a righteous man, forever to be, (for whatever why), so that I can of course tell & e.g. help us both find out &, whoever is who, our best answers to, what’s our just as good future,
all about & forever to be, ‘why &
    when,’ greetings, ‘J.A.,’ Santiago,
Chile, purpose of my letter: Just a
good labor situation, as it FORCES
me to tell you that my future depends on myself, one that my Danish mother gives me no obligation, whatsoever that I can fail to believe in, since she always wants to control any last detail for me, (what a waste of time).
